Geet (problematic in so many ways), Diya Aur Baati Hum (forced marriage turned into ultimate romance), Is Pyar Ko Nyam Doom (arguable the most famous serial and the "BEST jodi" from forced marriage to constant torture and abuse, wow), Rangrasiya (false imprisonment and forced marriage). Let's talk about the 3 I'm watching rn, 1. Some Bajiro something....2021 Zeetv made a drama romanticising CHILD MARRIAGE. In 2021. I was so shocked I watch the episodes with my mouth hanging open, 2. Tere Bina Jiya ~ homeboy married homegirl and forces her to embody his dead wife. Put an ankle monitor on her, threatens to ruin her family and constantly emotionally abuses here. Home girl is still in love and jumped in front of a bullet for homeboy....WOW. 🤣😭😭😭
Like.... I cannot tell if these shows are a reflection of society or if they're the reason your society is like this. Absolutely crazy. The child marriage one is really crazy for me though.
@@astrixsm8411 Here are some pure ones: Veera, Ek Hazaron Meri Behna Hein, Saraswatichandra (in the beginning), Punar Vivah (for the most part), Sapne Suhane La Ladpanke, Qubool Hai (for the most part), the one with Pankhuri and Aditya forgot the name.
@@Selahhhhhhhhhhh that is your biggest mistake. You watch Zee tv. The channel known for the cringiest serials. You should have watched "Kaatelaal and sons" on Sony sab which talks about woman empowerment. It's a story about two sisters who fights to own a men's hair salon which belongs to their father. He is against it because he thinks women are only meant to be in the kitchens. They eventually prove their father wrong and end up working in the salon making it a unisex salon. The show was almost cancelled because of low viewership. That's how bad out Indian audience is. They didn't bother to bat an eyelash on the show. They eventually wrapped up the show faster than expected because of low trp.
@@astrixsm8411 I mean I know a lot about India from the caste system to the treatment of women....definitely not the most lovely things about your country but I absolutely love the festivals, the rituals, the clothes and the food. My great grandmother is 100% pure Indian who came to the Caribbean to work as an indentured servant. Like we have Diwali and Holi in the Caribbean. Look up the countries Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago, they both gave over 50% population Indian. So trust me. I know.
