What’s funny is that garlic was long well known in Ireland for centuries but regarded as something to augment livestock diets, and not for human consumption.
Same with my mother! I remember when she discovered garlic. It opened the floodgates for herbs and spices and it really sparked a sudden joie de vivre that she had not had before.

Most of her sidekicks either 'break' or are a little too happy. Rachel get it just about right, must be a tough balance to pull off.
I agree. Ana must've come up with this idea. The way her hand moves on and around the book at 4:03 shows she's acting with her Entire body. Great execution. Rachel Dratch was one of the funniest people to be on SNL, she made me laugh a LOT, and she made her castmates crack all the time. I was never a fan of Anna, but I did always like this character, and she was a pretty funny Hillary Clinton.
I could never stand her. I don't think she's funny. I especially hated Debbie Downer. And hated how every character she's ever down acts exactly the same. She has zero range. Even her she's still being Debbie.
Ana Gasteyer really makes this though, as good as Rachel Dratch is. I'm not sure they could pull it off without her. Kate McKinnon certainly could be one half of the show.
Not any NPR I've ever heard. There have been sporadic times when SNL produced genuinely finny bits. This comes from sometime in the rest of it.
