Yeah but what you are not seeing is that the narrative of, “Self trying to get out of self” is not a realization of of an aha head realization moment and ipso facto the paradox..but rather the language (which must be respected) that, “I don’t feel safe” and what is it like (beneath words and.the head) not to feel safe and to begin to safely access those difficult and painful feelings. No Paul, it is not, “The act of being identified with self” but rather (and again beneath the words and the Zen mental masturbations - don’t get me wrong, which I am deeply drawn to and gave the greatest admiration and respect for) the allowing to register, access and deal with painful and difficult feelings (honoring, respecting accessing and giving voice to them) without just defaulting to “the which of which there is no whicher” to borrow a phrase from Alan Watts, of “Just Is” or non-duality, etc
