Par is never a factor in rating calculations. They are arbitrary numbers and are meaningless. The only good thing they provide is a handy zero-point from which to say you are under par, or over par.
@@Arrica101 Par means "the number of strokes a first-class player should normally require for a particular hole or course". I think for good player, 600ft par 3 is not any special? I think you dont know what par means...
Interesting takes.. The way I look at a par, is if an average pro can get a birdie on it. The average pro can't even throw 600 ft. If it's arbitrary, then why have par at all? Just count up your total strokes and call it a day
What a piece of disc golf history. Great to see this. Thanks!
Playing any course in winds like this and shooting under par is in itself impressive. 1111 rated in the wind? Jesus
Great video, thanks for posting this
Pretty good considering the ancient and awful no-catch'em baskets.
The field must have done really bad for this to be 1111 rated holy cow. Great round from Ricky, just insane that this was such a high rating
They might of but those winds are insane to play in
@@YoungOneJim yeah I don’t really mean they played bad, just didn’t do well in the wind compared to Ricky I guess
Think when some 1000 rated players shot 900 it pushed ricky up like a rocket.
I shot a 1019 rated round earlier this year with -2 (+1 for the tourney)on a par 54 course. The winds were 25-40mph. The average score was like +16
Who was it?
I think it's an earlier Macbeth video, I could be wrong though
how was this round 1111 rated?
Wow, 1111 with spit outs and missed putts, could have been WAY higher!
Absolutely.
602 ft par 3 wtf

That's not why he is saying wtf. Everyone knows what par means
