I hate when unite throw me in Japanese server not even able to play the game I always feel sorry for those Japanese teammates I can't even move in team fights bcoz of ping
being in a japanese lobby is horrifying. The average players there are always the most skilled mfs youll see. And the high lag affecting your plays doesnt help either lmao

I live in Japan and play duos/trios Unite with my friends in EU, I think that’s why matchmaking is global. The solo and duo/trio lobby is the same, so I suppose you’ll get solo players wind up in other region lobbies from time to time. And yes, the lag is painful but just about playable on a support, sometimes the timing is synced up ok, and then the next moment your button inputs are 0.5 seconds delayed. It’s hard to get out of difficult situations when it’s so slow. Also, from the near two years I’ve played Japan Solo Q, Japanese players seem more likely rotate top lane at 7:00 than EU/NA -_- Players also are more eager/willing to break goal zones with a poor overdunk. But most players do skip lane Bunnelby and leave at least one player top lane if they rotate bot.
I live in Asia and it is just impossible to differentiate which names are the ones indicating that it is a ping game, since every name in ping matches are in English, I just choose to play skill mons with no idea what is going to happen and get 20k damage
If the ping was good I wouldn't that much. Only matched with japanese twice and those guys played like tournament player, made me look like a casual player compared to how they were playing.

Yeah, in East Asia, a lot of matches start with skipping the double Bunnelby. After the first center is cleared and our side spawns are cleared, we go back for the 2 Bunnelby before the second middle spawn. And in more cases than not, everyone loves to abandon bottom lane to go top. Not even Regielecki gaming, just trying to win top lane first. Nobody seems to care for the universal XP from the bottom Regi.

Being in Australia I get matched into Japanese matches like 20% of the time and it's laggy but not that bad compared to some times when I get matched with people with english names (probably from EU or NA)

Even though I'm at the lowest setting possible. (I play on an old phone but it should still work since its available to install.)

Whats problem cris? I got this everytime I reached 1 minute of expanded matchmaking. I had no choice but to play it. Sometimes even when there is player they would still put you in Japan server no matter what😭😭🤷♂️ Timi typical system🤦

Of course they need a global matchmaking, otherwise some players would be playing with bots majority of the time cause this game prioritizes monetization instead of quick and consistent updates to balancing and QOL along with their braindead decisions to add overtuned mons and/or EX mons and leaving them overtuned for months before giving them nerfs comparable to a slap on the wrists(ex. All eevees) and inconsistent game designs of the pokemon thats all over the place, like the level where they learn new skills/evolve. No wonder why a game that has stolen character designs like MLBB stomps over unite on quality and playerbase. No serious and competitive playerbase would stick to a moba like unite long term.
