9 times out of 10 its just the Cmos battery undervolting below 3v. Your better off just replacing the flat coin battery since the battery is probably 6 years old by now. If your Multi Meter reads the batter below 3v replace it. otherwise its probably the capacitor like in the video.

Thanks for the tip, I have a HP Pavilion DV5 with charging light flashing like in this video, I checked the CMOS battery and it is indeed undervoltage, I’ve bought new coin cell to replace tomorrow, hopefully it’s as simple as this but it was overheating with random shutdown before the flashing charging light started

Hi i have 5 models like this one..3 of them give video and all voltage present..But just before it loads the Windows OS it shuts off and reboot..Tried troubleshooting and no hope.
The other 2 as soon as you plug it in it auto restarts and reboot loops continuously ..the power jack Led and Power Leds just keeps blinking none stop...I tried flashing there bios but still no hope.This is a very troublesome model..
