One car I had in the 80’s that I do miss was my 1988 Chevy IROC Camaro with the 350 engine and t-tops. That thing handled great. Another item from the 80’s that I had on my IROC was the rear window louvers. Those were very popular in the 80’s.
There was such an incident that one co-worker's hide away headlamps got freeze up after the freezing rain and unable to pop up . Finally tried with a hand held propane torch and got the lamps out .
You needed to leave on the last 3 words of the videos name. It's fun to remember some of these old features, but who the hell wants any of these again?
Dude, you mention pop up taillight gas door's in the 80's, available in cars like the "Camero", l owned a 80'S,as well as a 77 T/A with t-bars, and currently own a 81 Firebird, ALL my gas caps were behind the license plate..
I find videos like this made by people who are clueless about an era, much less never lived through it, hilarious. Sooooooo many errors. Um, t-tops and velour were more 1970s and both had lost favor in the 1980s. Crank windows had been around for decades, and were more a cost measure than something cool. Compasses were not that common on cars, and more a gimmick from the 1970s, so not really 1980s. Bold pinstriping was NOT a 1980s feature. Go watch Miami Vice reruns and you'll see the trend was monochrome minimalist. Not sure why the video shows pre-1980s cars for a lot of these features, other than to prove the video title is clickbait.
But the simplicity of the cars of the 80' s can't denied😊

It seems like those pop up headlights ALWAYS had one that just wouldn’t co-operate!😜
Why do they keep showing cars for the 1950s while talking about features from the 80s?
Because they don’t think we know the difference. They think we are dummies.
I saw more cars from the 60s and 70s and 80s.

My Cadillac Brougham had this Valore interior. I just never knew what it was called until now.
Don't recall any cars with tail lamp hidden gas caps on 1980's era. More a 1950's feature.
I don’t miss any of them. 😂

Lol my childhood
i wish there was time stamps for each feature
I don't miss many of these things. Like what has already been mentioned, you talk about the 80's yet show cars from 1950 to 1970. Why?
I'd rather have the manual windows!
Heck no!!
@hlt069
🤣
Manual crank windows broke all the time.
give me hand crank windows a manual transmission, carb and distributor.........i am happy......screw the electronic bullshit we have now days
In other words, cars like today's world are boring and boring at all

The 1980s were the ugliest most worthless car ever made.
