Holy crap you guys, I'm so sorry the audio is so quiet on this one. I have been playing with audio filters to try and get my exhaust quieter, but I think I took it too far! I have a new microphone on the way, and hopefully the audio in my next video is much better!
Audio isn’t that bad man. Good information,I’m a new rider and I’m waiting on my 2021 Indian scout bobber (1133cc). I ordered It July 5th and still hasn’t come in don’t really know why it’s taking so long. Even though I’m a beginner I feel like I’m responsible enough to take my time with it. Maybe not a beginner bike but like you said it’s a bike you won’t grow out of and that’s what I was looking for. Great vids my friend, thanks.
@@preacherman6212 I think the balance between voice and exhaust is definitely better, but the overall volume is a bit lower than I'd like. Appreciate the feedback! Hang in there! 2 months isn't much of a wait honestly, I think they are forecasting 3-4 months now for new orders. It'll be worth the wait once you get it!
Honestly felt like the audio was better balanced between your talking and the exhaust. And good video. The bike is a suitable first bike because it's intuitive rideability.
I'm 36, 5'9", 195lbs., got my endorsement in October of last year. I was looking around at used bikes online when I stumbled across the Scout Bobber.....I knew immediately she was what I wanted. Next day I bought a brand new 2021 Scout Bobber Icon in Black Azure Crystal. She's my first bike and as others have said, if you treat her with respect she's excellent to learn and grow on. Also, I slapped a set of Vance & Hines slip-ons on mine and let me tell you - dumping the stock mufflers REALLY adds character.
Great to hear! It really is a showboat kind of bike that just feels like it belongs beneath you! It sounds terrible from the factory, but once you take those scuba tanks off, it's one of the best sounding things on the planet!
Man you hit the nail on the head with your comments on bike weight. I got rid of my 840 pound Triumph for a 2019 Indian Scout Bobber. It literally weighs 300 pounds lighter. Wonderful decision
It 100% depends on the beginner. I got my endorsement in July, I'm 44 years old, 6'1" and 250+ pounds and I didn't break the bank to buy one (took delivery last Thursday). It's an amazing beginner bike if you're a responsible person. If you're the type of person who pushes limits hard, right away... look elsewhere. Smaller people might also want something a little smaller at first, although that refers to weight and not seat height. I'm gonna go jump on my Alumina Jade baby right now, in fact. Just listening to the audio makes me want to hear it in person xD
I subscribed just for the "that's what she said"... 🤣 also because I'm (hopefully) getting a Scout Bobber (not first bike) soon and also live in CO. Recognize a lot of the areas in your videos.
All scouts are amazing machines not only for beginners but old guys like me. The new Indian run by Polaris is a major force in the cruiser world. Their design team has been hitting home runs since day one of the Polaris acquired Indian. I. Have a feeling we will be seeing some new innovative machines for 2023. And I think eventually all Indians will be liquid cooled. Anyone in the market for a new bike can buy Any Indian with confidence. They are making excellent machines now a days
100% agree that it is the most beautiful bike in its class.....i love the nimble handling...the smooth power delivery and how tame it can be...till you wind er up past 5k..better hang on, she likes to party..🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the advise- my 1st bike is the ‘22 scout rogue sixty- it’s fantastic and right now stock as stock, but looks awesome- I’m 6’2, 215lbs, plenty of power- only experience previous is som 125 and 250 dirt bikes, 250 rebel, various jetted scooters- I think taking it easy, just getting comfortable is key
Just curious.. do you have to clutch the shifts on the scout? My first bike and only bike to date was a ZX-6R .. never used clutch to shift except down into first.
A few months late to the game. Just got my endorsement in April. The Indian Scout or Scout Bobber was my dream beginner bike. Ended up with a 2020 Scout Bobber about a month ago. Honestly, if you're a mature rider it is a solid beginner bike. I have yet to think that I made the wrong choice even though I'm already eyeing my next bike.
Not sure yet. I'll probably hold off on getting a bigger bike for a while. I want to keep the Scout for my wife because she wants to get her license. That way I can still ride it and she doesn't complain that I have too many toys.
I’m getting the bobber 60 as my second back after not riding for 6 years. I’ll upgrade later if they upgrade the new scouts with the digital tachometers or other stuff like that. Hopefully we can get them installed though on our older models
@@Jimbobbington ahh what a coincidence lol what bike would you have got if you didn’t get the scout? I was looking at a iron 883 before I found out about them

Great video! The Bobber 60 is my first motorcycle and I LOVE IT.
Fantastic! See, I give good advice!
Next week's video will be a handful of beginner tips so you don't drop your bike and can be a better rider!
Man you hit the nail on the head with your comments on bike weight. I got rid of my 840 pound Triumph for a 2019 Indian Scout Bobber. It literally weighs 300 pounds lighter. Wonderful decision
My first bike, a Suzuki SV650, only weighed about 400 lbs, but having a much higher center of gravity, it felt heavier

That's great! And a cool color! It's still safer than something like a Ninja 650 for a first bike regardless haha

My first bike and only bike to date was a ZX-6R .. never used clutch to shift except down into first.
Super easy to upshift without clutch, and I am pretty good at downshifting without clutch also.
Thinking of getting a scout bobber 20 for my first bike . I’m not a psycho on a bike so hopefully it’ll be fine
I don't think you have anything to worry about!

@@rhino2104 haha good plan
I been considering the Triumph bobber for a beginner bike, on a pretty reserved rider, im 44, and not a adrenaline junkie type lol
Royal enfield might be another good choice with those requirements!

@@Jimbobbington ahh yeah my first bike was a ninja 250 lol so I guess we both chose cruiser after that’s awesome though and great videos man
you think they’ll add that digital tach anytime soon?
Here in my country roughly cost 16k usd
That sounds about right
Sv650 is under 440 lbs I think
Yeah I weighed mine on a commercial truck scale at 420 lbs fully stock iirc. Full Leo Vince exhaust dropped 20 lbs.
