Thank you for sharing that the Portrait 3 machine can use the tool adapters to write. I’ve been wondering if these tools would work in the Portrait 3 and you answered my question. I’m now following your channel. 😊

I really appreciate your tutorials. Not yet unpacked my Cameo 4. Do you know if I can do this on Heat transfer paper. I do not have a color printer. Want to draw and then iron on fabric.

The noise that the silhouettes makes is what makes it hard for me to decide to buy one. Other than that that ,this little machine is vey tempting to buy.
Hi Danny!! omg let me tell you.. it is NOT that noisy! I think people just want it to be silent. Honestly I can tell by the sound the machine makes that all is well. That said... you are right, the Cricut it quieter (and my poor Cricut is REALLY quiet because I rarely use it now - it is just much easier for me to design in Silhouette and send it straight to my machines)

I have wanted to try this making a mandala. When I have seen it before the sketches looked to open not having any fill. This looked pretty cool Thanks Patty. I am curious....Are there "special" fonts to use to be able to do writing?
There are. If you are using Cricut you can look them up by writing style (I think it is). If you are using silhouette business edition, you can always fill any text using the line effects panel.
@@PattyAnnesPlace Thank you Patty. Using Silhouette, Where do you find these "special" fonts? I was hoping to use pens to make "lines" and not need fill. Similar to writing are there graphics that are just lines to make "art" with?
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by lines to make art.
I've looked for the bookmark I had for the single line fonts but haven't found it yet. In the meantime, you can look at this site. I like the way the fonts appear to be single line (very nice looking) BUT, unfortunately, you download the text that you've inserted and the downloaded file is an svg file.
