my only problem is how they've added so much shit in the supply drops it's almost impossible to get anything you want, they dillute the reward pool on purpose with every other update to get you to spend $ on COD points, it's so shady, you're basically grinding for a small CHANCE at getting something good.

Shadow [TK] They have not changed the chance of you getting an epic, legendary, or rare. They have just added a load of commons. The only thing that you have less of a chance of getting is a certain common camouflage...
Shadow Claw so in common packs you get Commons and in rare packs you get rare or higher? I agree, but it would be nice for them to add a Legendary drop and Epic drop. Legendary gives you Legendary items with a chance of Epic, and Epic gives you Epic items, but will be 100-500 keys.

Anyways, I spent 1500 keys on rares and about 1000 common, and they both still disappoint me lol. I opened them like you did, in big quantities. But I found that I get more salvage from rares than I do commons. Since I want only a few specific guns, I've found more use in opening rares. But that's just me. But if you're going epic weapons, you don't get anything from rares.
people have looked into this and you get more salvage for the amount of keys spent from Rares than you do from commons. it's something like 30 salvage on average from rares and like 5 salvage on average from commons
I think if you're going for salvage to get the gun you want, do Rares. If you just want to chance it, go common. I think it was XclusiveAce that did a rough estimate for the amount of salvage per drop and it's quite a bit higher for rares, even after factoring in the 3:1 ratio

I've wanted the R3KT for so long now, I have a few Epics like the KBar Inective and the Mauler Sentinel and I'm only 1K salvage off owning the R3KT. The only disappointing things is that there are so many epics within the game and I've received the KBar Inective 3 times all of which have been the normal and not even the Mk 2 variant. I honestly wish there was a dupe protection on all epic weapons you received in supply drops.

rares without a doubt. Keep in mind, rares also slightly increase your chances of getting legendary and epics. Also in the game, you can have all the items, but at the end, you can only choose "one" gun. More importantly, you will have 1 favorite kickass epic variant gun. This 1 epic can be worth 1,000,000 commons items to a player. With that said, your chances of getting this 1 epic is higher with a rare supply drop.
i remember when i got the mauler mammoth and the raw liberty out of rares i like how it gives me 2 lmgs instead of an assault rifle or a submachine gun but im not even mad because the mammoth and liberty are beast
I don't have a season pass, so I don't get the new weapons, but I randomly open up common supply drops and I get the trencher, auger, rvn, and the protus
xDJ Rockstar i play zombies and i go for rare as you get 2 rare supply drop items and 2 of each of the three cards that you get out of the fortune pack. also it only takes one game to round 35 to get 30 keys so if you're good at zombies you'll be able to get rare supply drops quicker than in multiplayer.
but if you buy a rare for 30 keys, you only get 6 cards ( 3 types, 2 of each) where as if you do common you get a total of 9 cards for the same amount of keys. food for thought
I did something similar where I saved up 1000 keys on this game and opened rare supply drops in Multiplayer and Zombies. 500 keys for each mode and the only thing I got from it was the KBS Longbow Big Brother
My opinion is they should make it like Overwatch where the longer you go with out getting a yellow the higher chance you will get one. The exact percentages of the increase to my knowledge has not been released. If you open a rare without getting anything better than a rare the chances of getting an epic should increases by about .50% so it's not too big where they don't profit but it still gets rid of that RNG bullshit. Also about -.10% for each legendary you get.
Commons are the way to go. Like you said, you could buy a common and unlock an epic or you could buy ab epic and get two commons, a rare, and +12 salvage. Also, I got the Headsman out of a common and nearly woke up the house 😂 It's not a particularly great weapon but it's SO satisfying to just lodge it into a camper's skull with an overhead throw.
I really wish they would update the way MKII weapons work. Since being a max prestige 55 and having black sky there is no point in using them. I wont use them because i cant put my camo on them. I hope if they implement MKIII weapons per say, you can use camos on them. Or at least make them put a neat effect on the camo. That would be my number one suggestion as of now.
I save my keys for as long as I can and open them at the triple play or something special..I only open rare..not just because or the rare item but the salvage..I've gotten in alot of cases 100-200 plus salvage and that's what I'm aiming for...I will need it for the up coming gun Variants.

I was gonna open commons until I was consistently getting dupes for salvage. Then I was gonna move on to races, so the commons I get are at least still useful, and the rates will balance it out. Then they added all the hundreds of commons and I gave up...
Even though the earn rate is slow u still get more salvage on average from rare supply drops than from commons, even if u got 3 duplicates from a common every time I only got an epic from a common ONCE, which was the EBR-800 bomber, I don't think it's a good way to get epics, some ppl just get lucky and become the chosen one to get epics Maybe the best thing do to is save keys for ages and ages until they add a bribe/hack that is worth buying

seems pretty strange that for me I've gotten the volk corruption mk. 2 and the EMC switchblade and erad cyclopean out of common supply drops, but entirely the common supply drops I get for being a season pass owner... :s
The Case system in Gears of War 4 is so much better, there's frequent community and promo packs, there's Elite packs, operations packs, versus booster packs, horde booster packs, plus anything you get, it doesn't matter if it's a duplicate or not CAN be scrapped for scrap, meaning if you get an ugly Legendary skin, you can burn it and buy an Epic from the tier below. Plus in Horde mode you earn a shitload of credits, a full Horde match can go up to 4000 credits, meaning you can buy 2 elite packs and get 10 items which are of high rarity. Guaranteed epic(2nd highest tier of unlock) which is great. Gears 4 is a game that actually rewards you for your time played, as frustrating as it can be that's why I love it. It has such a far better system, CoD need to start taking notes for sure.
I don't know why people hate supply drops they don't have to buy it they can just play multiplayer and zombies so basically if u don't buy it then it's basically free
im prestige 5 in mp and till now i've only opened commons and have not got SHIT. i think i have opened 5 rare's since ive ever started playing and i got 2 epic variants outta them but nothing from the 100's and 100's of commons ive opened.
I have a good idea. (once they add more levels) they should make it so you can get keys by simply levelling up. Levels 1-19 Give 1 key each.. levels 20-29 give 2 each.. levels 30-39 give 3 each.. 40-49 4 each and lastly 50-55 5 keys each. Would be a very fair system to implement considering how slow it is to earn keys but mostly because there are so many dang things ti get in drops the chances are low as it is and i think the players should have better chances of getting the weapons/camos they want. Probably would never happen but it would be a very fair method bc rn the key grind is disgustingly slow combined with horribke chances if getting things you actually want from drops.
I feel i have more chances in Zombie Rare crates than anything else, its 2 chances, but i feel i get more weapons out of the 2, I've had double epics before and i don't regret that
Rare drops I only get like emblems and stuff and barely get a gun but when I open commons I rarely get a gun but if I do it's not a duplicate but commons give you camos so

Like I said at the end of the video - it is all completely random. The rates may show it being better but my luck is just awful.

I just did this last week with 2000+ keys right when the new guns came out...rares are definitely the way to go. I even made spreadsheets with odds

BO3's supply drops were the worst. 9/10 times I would get a rare and two commons in a rare supply drop and three cryptokeys..
I did a 2000 keys supply drop opening on IW, i opened 100 commons and 33 rares and i tend to go with rares now since they gave me better items

The Case system in Gears of War 4 is so much better, there's frequent community and promo packs, there's Elite packs, operations packs, versus booster packs, horde booster packs, plus anything you get, it doesn't matter if it's a duplicate or not CAN be scrapped for scrap, meaning if you get an ugly Legendary skin, you can burn it and buy an Epic from the tier below. Plus in Horde mode you earn a shitload of credits, a full Horde match can go up to 4000 credits, meaning you can buy 2 elite packs and get 10 items which are of high rarity. Guaranteed epic(2nd highest tier of unlock) which is great. Gears 4 is a game that actually rewards you for your time played, as frustrating as it can be that's why I love it. It has such a far better system, CoD need to start taking notes for sure.
I don't know why people hate supply drops they don't have to buy it they can just play multiplayer and zombies so basically if u don't buy it then it's basically free

im prestige 5 in mp and till now i've only opened commons and have not got SHIT. i think i have opened 5 rare's since ive ever started playing and i got 2 epic variants outta them but nothing from the 100's and 100's of commons ive opened.

I have a good idea. (once they add more levels) they should make it so you can get keys by simply levelling up. Levels 1-19 Give 1 key each.. levels 20-29 give 2 each.. levels 30-39 give 3 each.. 40-49 4 each and lastly 50-55 5 keys each. Would be a very fair system to implement considering how slow it is to earn keys but mostly because there are so many dang things ti get in drops the chances are low as it is and i think the players should have better chances of getting the weapons/camos they want. Probably would never happen but it would be a very fair method bc rn the key grind is disgustingly slow combined with horribke chances if getting things you actually want from drops.

I feel i have more chances in Zombie Rare crates than anything else, its 2 chances, but i feel i get more weapons out of the 2, I've had double epics before and i don't regret that

i want the "burn duplicates" option from bo3 back its more satisfying getting for exampel 1600 salvage at once then get 5 from common duplicate
Rare drops I only get like emblems and stuff and barely get a gun but when I open commons I rarely get a gun but if I do it's not a duplicate but commons give you camos so
For some reason when I open a common zombie crate I get like legendary multiplayer stuff!
I have 3,700 keys and 27 free common supply drops saved. Should I spend it all on the quatermaster hack for 45 keys? or commons or rares??

im almost prestige 3 and i haven't dropped an epic yet, had to save up 4000 salvage and buy the nv4 flatline

Nathan Doss yes it's a lot faster in my opinion if u speed run in zombies u can make a lot of keys
As much as I see his points there a some flaws in it when it comes to those that just get the game. I think I'll make a video about this.

I have gotten way more luck with rare suply drops (multiplayer) besides the duplicate Mauler Mammoth :( I just hate common suply drops, the chance is so low of actually getting something
