The largest and loudest explosions are the Gabe Mort that is set off as the last explosion of a show - a few seconds after the end of the display. Only a few shows use such a salute - I think primarily Italian style firework displays.

Blue fireworks were my favorite in childhood, there wasn't blue kool-aid, blue jello or even blue m&ms back then, Star Trek was so cool with the blue drinks, transponders and auto slide doors that my friends and I would discuss if we would have the chance to live long enough to see these marvels in the real world. (Flip phones are still cool to us, but not so much the blue dyes) So every year we would seek out the blue sparklers, blue spark showers and blue aerials. Probably had arsenic.! Not sure if we would have cared tho😂
