《梁祝小提琴協奏曲》，常簡稱為《梁祝》，由上海音樂學院學生何占豪、陳鋼以越劇《梁山伯與祝英台》的旋律為基礎於1958年創作完成（何曾是一名越劇戲班二胡手）。1959年5月27日在上海蘭心大戲院進行首演，小提琴獨奏為俞麗拿。
梁祝小提琴協奏曲後來也被盛中國改編為鋼琴伴奏。此外還被改編為二胡、古箏、高胡、琵琶、笛子、柳琴等主奏，以民樂團協奏的版本。
The Butterfly Lovers' Violin Concerto was written in 1958 by two Chinese composers, Chen Gang (陳鋼), and He Zhanhao (何占豪), while they were students at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. The debut of the Butterfly Lovers' Violin Concerto was performed by Yu Lina at the age of 18 in Shanghai as part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary year of the founding of the People's Republic of China in May 27, 1959.

明代琵琶演奏家汤应曾年幼时每闻琵琶声而落泪，问之，则曰虽不解其意，有感而落泪。后来他成了有明一代最出名的琵琶演奏家。我是音痴，以后也没希望成为音乐演奏家，但听了这首曲子也落泪了，如汤琵琶。

Actually, this is a modern music which created by two Chinese in China during the era of 1950.

I like this version the best. So original. The colors of the sounds are all preserved in this piece!
I remember when I went on a cruise in China and I think it was the Yang Xi, and every morning this song would play to wake us up :)

196O年代初香港大導演拍了一部黃梅調的 “ 梁祝 ”電影, 由樂蒂 和 凌波主演。十分好看的一部黃梅調電影。另外1950 年代尾香港粵劇界也拍了一部梁祝恨史由芳艷芳 任劍輝主演, 也是很好看的一部粵曲電影。 這二部電影RUclips 都有, 可試試找來看。

The best pre-Bach concerto!
This was actually composed in the 1950's, the story is ancient but not the music. If I remember correctly, this specific concerto was composed in 1958 which is by no means pre-Bach.
+Lovelle Hung It is true that the concerto was composed in 1958. On the other hand, it is also worth noting that the theme melody was borrowed from that of the centuries-old Yue opera "Butterfly Lovers". I know we are talking about the concerto and I am just adding some interesting fact :)

Liang Shanbo (梁山伯) and Zhu Yingtai (祝英台), short for Liang Zhu is the story of two tragic lovers in Chinese literature. Similar story to Romeo and Juliet
