Gracie, you are so brave and I am so proud of you for wanting to travel alone!!! I hope you had the best and life changing vacation. I hope you are feeling so proud of yourself. You are an inspiration. 💛
I did my first solo trip too on a cruise last year! It was super nerve wracking, but was so proud of myself for doing it! You’re bound to have a “I can’t believe I’m here” moment on your trip. Goodluck on yours :)
This makes my heart happy! I went on NCL Jade early January! Seeing this has helped me book my first solo travel cruise! Also - I stayed at same hotel night prior to cruise! Beautiful area of Cape Town!
I'm going tomorrow from Florida... can't wait!! My first time going the continent Wow🤩🤩 nice video!! My flight, it's only 15 hr. I don't count the layover in Maryland 😁😁😁😆
The longest flight I’ve ever been on is 8 hours. So kudos to you for the flight. I’ve been watching your instagram reels and the cruise seems amazing 😊
Hope you enjoy the cruise and Africa. Can't wait to see more of what you get up to. You should come down and visit Australia (we would love to have you), and I am positive you would love it we have everything from rain forests to snowy mountains, beaches to deserts, cities to the outback and everything in between. My aim (really it is a dream) is to do post graduate work (after I finish my PhD) internationally. I have never left Australia and would love the opportunity to work and live in another country. It is still 2 - 3 years away but am hoping I get accepted to a Post-Doc program somewhere outside of Australia so I can experience another culture and travel another country.
Traveling solo is Soo fun! My first solo trip was to India! I had been before with a team from college and was going back for the summer to spend time with my host family. It was the best time and I learned so many things about myself. Enjoy every minute of it!
Hi Gracie happy Friday and happy holidays and happy weekend and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
That seat is awesome but did you not get a tray table or a tv with it? Would be such a long flight if you had the whole row filled and couldn’t watch tv 😂
I’ve travelled solo before, but it was from Chicago, Illinois to Columbus, Ohio. It was just for a Kappa Kappa Gamma Leadership Academy. While it was a short weekend trip, it was my first time traveling by myself, but it was also my first time flying by myself, so it was crazy going through tsa as an anxious freshman college student.
Yes! Oman & The UAE are not Africa but the majority of the cruise is & that's how it's listed on Norwegain so I say that so people can find the cruise in case they want to do it next year!

Thank you Kelsey!
Can't wait to see the rest of your trip! Enjoy my home country. Be safe!

lol i love that song that's playing in the background of the plane!!!!
Man it would be so cool to do something like this. To get on a cruise and travel to exotic locales!😁

Thank you so much!!
@@GracieOConnor of course sending you hugs ❤️ 🤗
Safe travels gracie
I wanted to join you thought that was an invite, never have been to cape and I stay in SA
Hi, Gracie, did you personally pay all expenses for the SA trip yourself or not? Also, how long was it from ATL to JNB?
Sounds like an amazing trip. Did you get cheap last-minute airfare? Or did Norwegian have a package/airfare deal with your cruise?
I purchased the airfare by myself since I like to fly Delta. I had the flight booked 2 weeks prior to leaving :)
That seat is awesome but did you not get a tray table or a tv with it? Would be such a long flight if you had the whole row filled and couldn’t watch tv 😂
Usually there's a swing up entertainment and tray. Like in a lecture theatre
@@WinterWind that’s really cool, I’ve never seen this particular plane layout!
@@Livrobinsonn the seats usually cost extra so I've never sat in one hahah
Yes! It had one tucked in! But I didn't pay extra for the seat I got - maybe a perk of having status with Delta? It was great though!
I love solo travelling, but being on a plane for too long drives me insane. Can't wait to see more from your trip 🚢

I live in south africa 🇿🇦
so glad you made it safe to Africa gracie. you are a very brave woman.
South africa is far from everything. I live in cape Town. If I travel to Phuket it's 19 hours.
Some of the countries aren’t in Africa just fyi!!
