Voltage Control of a PMSM

With the help of field-oriented control, a PMSM can be controlled just as easily as a DC machine. Of course, simple is always relative ....
In many cases, we simply apply a DC voltage to a DC motor and observe how the no-load speed depends on the voltage. What is the equivalent for a synchronous machine? Quite simply: We manually set a load angle of 90°. Since we know the rotor position, this is an easy task for us with the help of the microcontroller. In any case, much easier than an FOC!
