The same way that Mega Nuke has an AOE when it explodes, every player that gets pinged by the radar emits a small AOE that will hit all players basically touching those affected. Long story short, you would normally do 50 damage times 7 = 350 then form all the other explosions you would multiply 350 times the 7 players=2450 if you crit it becomes 4900 with a 2x damage, it can get up to 9800. So the theoretical max damage you can do with a radar is 9800

Jerome radar places an explosive on everyone it touches so in an xp farm there are 8 explosives blowing up and damaging 8 people for 50 damage resulting in BIG DAMAGE
so basically 8 explosions hitting 8 people is 64 times 100 damage for the crit is 6400
x2 if it has the multiplyer

Explanation for the somar damage in xp farm:
So there are 8 people and it crit all of them for 100. So thats 800 damage but it is a explosive attack so each crit of 100 damage on one player hit the other 7. So it is 8 instances of 800 damage which is technically 6400 damage. There is you explaination

When it pings on to someone the green dot has a radius of the explosion anyone in the radius when it blows up gets damage to not just the person pinged
think of is this way jerome. every "ping" from radar is like a 50 damage sticky bomb. so it damages the tank that gets pinged and any tanks within the blast radius.

At the same time, the other tanks blow up and hit their friends. Like an imploder. Imploder damages yourself and your blast radius. Radar also does that in an exp farm.

So radar gives everyone a bomb. The multiple bombs explode and each bomb gives everyone 50 damage so being a crit 100 damage this equation could help

So Z x (100z) would be how you can calculate the amount of damage radar would do to a bunch of people clustered
So if here are 8 people clustered radar placing a bomb on everyone would be
8 x 100(8)
Or 8 x 800
Leading to 64000 damage done overall
Sorry if I might’ve over complicated it but that’s how you would calculate the damage of a Radar with crit, without a crit just divide your answer by 2

damage of radar in xp farm = 50 (which is constant) x (number of tanks) x (number of tanks). So if there are 2 tanks, it would deal 50x2x2=200, if there are 3 tanks, it would deal 50x3x3 = 450, if there are 5 tanks, it would deal 50x4x4 = 800, and so on for 8 tanks it would deal 50x8x8 = 3200
the above damage are subjected to normal damage, more damage is to be done for crit hits

radar puts a sticky bomb on every target in the vicinity of the radar
and sticky bomb dose a.o.e. damage not single target damage so basically its like having 8 sticky bombs all exploding at the same time

Radar pings on to every person that is in its range once the tank explodes it does 50 damage to every person it hits....it does a crit so it hit 7 people and did 100 damage each so it does 700 damage... now the explosion of them when radar explodes does extra damage to every person it hits so it hits six people per person so .... it’s a lot of math to do so i won’t go any further but Steve is right but jeez that’s a lot of math
Ok so,
Radar works by pinging people
If it pings on 1 person then it causes an explosion on that person
That explosion damages everyone for the 100 damage, so it does 700 per person if they are all clustered
This happens for every person so it happens 7 times (each enemy player)
700 x 7 = 4900
Jerome without his voice is like a little kid and it’s adorable
There's a german youtuber that got 7000 damage with the second level of radar, sonar. He did this by hitting a times 2 damage and critting most of the shots the sonar hits. The reason it does so much damage is because if 7 people are together and one of the bullets are brought up, then that bullet hits all 7 of them. So, if 7 bullets are brought up, that 7×7 damage.
Honestly, Steve explained it the best probably any one of us could. If one person was pinged, it would damage them, and anyone in the radius of the ping. If 8 people are in that area, and all 8 of them get pinged, everyone gets pinged for 50 damage 8 times. Except you can't ping yourself, so only 7.
Radar puts a green dot on EVERY tank. That means when you have 7 other people stacked on a farm, you do 7x50 for 350. But also, when the green dots on the players explode, they hit everyone nearby. So the dot on player 1 hits player 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.
So 50 damage x 2 for a crit, plus 7 exploding dots that EACH hit 7 people means you get 100 x 7 x 7 = 4900 damage
I mean to be fair that was the craziest shot that backfired horribly

Radar pings on to someone and explodes hitting anyone in a radius, so if there is 7 people in an area and only one explodes the explosion radius hits them all, but all of them explodes so it's 7 times 50 for the normal damage then they explode hitting the other 6 so times the by 6, 350 times 6 is which is 2,100 but it was all crit so way more

so Jerome, lets say you have 3 tanks on top of each other and use radar. tank one gets a ping that damages tank 1 2 and 3 for 5 each. The ping on tank 2 hits tank 1 2 nd 3 for 50 damage. tank 3 also gets pinged and damages all 3. It''s that but with 7 enemy tanks in an xp farm. Apart from you hitting yourself with 350 from the 7 pings (or 700 for a big crit) you will hit each person for every ping you get.
EACH ONE OF THE RADARS EXPLOSIONS HITS EVERYONE BUT THERE ARE 8 TOTAL EXPLOSIONS SO YOU DO 8X THE DAMAGE

So jerome I'm going to simplify it from what steve was saying.
If radar his each person it pings than they all take the 50 damage from there pings, but if each ping of everyone else also hits everyone nearby than they also take the 5 damage, so 50 multiplied by 7, because you dont count for damage, than each hit from each person hits for 350 damage, make that a crit and its 700 hundred damage each, now multiple 700 by 7, for their being 7 shots.
So basically boys if we do lidar (60 dmg) and multiply it by 7 (for the lock on), 7 for the hits, 2 for the crits, and if one gets a double damage again, x2, bringing the grand total to 11,670 damage, the most possible damage in ShellShock
