My older brother got a Lionel train set back in the early 50s, but it was a steam locomotive instead of a diesel. His son has it now, and while it has needed a few parts over the years- mainly replacements for the original drivers- it still runs. They built things to last back then.
What a film! Some historic full size trains there, like the legendary Burlington Zephyr and others, together with some equally lovely models and historic early toys. There's a great toy museum in Nurnberg, Germany absolutely packed out with these, and more. Nice too to see the early scale model railroads, and how the hobby draws people together even today. Definitely a period piece in some of its attitudes, yes, but a great treat for Christmas - both then and now. Thank you.
I never thought about product testing and quality control with this product but obviously it makes complete sense. Pretty cool to watch the testing stations. Like any other i guess. Thanks and Merry Christmas.
My Father had an Uncle that lived in West Virginia that had a HUGE train display that took up his whole basement!!.. He had railroad cars from Germany and other European Countries!!

This reminds me of the slot car race tracks I had in my childhood-( Aurora AFX,Ideal TCR, and Tyco US 1 Electric Trucking)...
Those are great slot car brands. Wish we could find a promo film for those - let's all get back to our youth!
