Project Cressida Starts Now… With a Rebuilt 1UZfe V8!

It's high time to get started on Project MX73. And the project begins with a small block, quad-cam Japanese V8: Toyota’s 1UZfe, to be specific. It came out of a 1993 Lexus SC400 and we had it shipped to us a couple months back. But as many of you know, it’s a roulette game any time you get a motor off eBay, in this episode we’re going to start tearing it down to inspect its vitals and refresh the longblock. Then, once it’s put back together, it's going to live a new life in… Jared’s (@gentle_jared_official) brown and beautiful 1986 Toyota Cressida...

Good luck with the Cressida. I have the same car and considering the idea of getting the same engine as well. I was advised that I will need a smaller vacuum power booster. Let me know if you have ideas of how to overcome this. Keep it up.
