"The Lying Detective" was what really killed me, as you can see. I was lucky enough to have saved up my old med containers (when one goes to art school, one tends to become a packrat), and I dispersed my current pills between them. I say this so that people don't have to wonder why I had all those orange pill bottles on hand.
I had to watch John beat Sherlock up over and over again to fix an audio error. Thanks, computer.

Tbh the hug scene made me sick to my stomach. Sherlock didn't even recovered completely from the injuries John had inflicted him in that scene, his eye is not healed and John doesn't apologise! But all is good, Sherlock hugs him and they're cool again I guess? Same with Eurus. She nearly killed John, killed that boy Victor and other people, implied she may have raped someone?? and Sherlock hugs her and everything's fine, she is not a psychopath anymore! Love conquers all! Seriously...
Half-Blood Mutant You forget that Sherlock also forgave or pardoned John for emotionally cheating on Mary (with his crazy ass sister, mind you).
Sherlock never gives a sincere apology to John either. Love is never having to say you're sorry. GAG
I don’t think it’s that it solves all the problems, it’s about troubled people being heard. John acted out of grief and anger and disappointment and that’s not okay but Sherlock understands and forgives him, he knows John is sorry. Eurus murdered people and she went to prison for it, should she also be deprived of her family as well? It seems a little inhumane to punish someone beyond their legal sentence. She’s clearly messed up but that doesn’t means she’s not deserving of love.
@@elliottwatt5297 Eurus didn't go to prison because she murdered people. Almost all her murders took place when she was at Sherrinford. She's never punished for any of them as far as we're told. The rape she perpetrated was also while there. The only death she was responsible for was Sherlock's young friend, but they never found the body so how could she have been imprisoned for it. (After all, who would look for a missing child in a well, huh?). it was Mycroft's decision to put her there, there was no legal sentence.
I found out in like May that Season 4 came out. I asked my Facebook friends why I wasn't informed that Season 4 came out. After I watched it I understood. They were trying to protect me.

Sherlock is still recovering from his overdose, John never loved or forgave Mary and Eurus doesn’t exist.
Can we address the fact that Mary is a new mother and would never ever let herself be killed for that asshole when her baby is waiting at home? In fact shed probably push Sherlock closer to the gun to make sure her family wasn't harmed?

I suffered an assault from a family member that was quite a bit worse than the one in that episode and, at least for me, the trust disappeared from our relationship. We barely talk now, I can't look at him without thinking about the bones he broke and how weird my face felt when it swelled up.
You NEVER just snap back. Unless you've been groomed/gaslit/abused into hoping things will change, that friendship is gone forever.
Fuck, I’m so sorry this happened to you, and you are completely correct. I’ve not had serious damage done to me but once my aunt made a gross sexual comment towards me and was meant to be a joke but it crossed so many lines that I do not allow her to communicate with me whatsoever ever. People can’t be forgiven after stuff like that, and even for stuff less severe than straight up assault. Like friends, even male friends, are not ever justified like fuck. This scene pissed me off so much.

Haven't watched till the end yet, but I have to say, you're god damn hilarious! Just a bit of constructive criticism though, the part where you took the pills from the shelf was stretched out a bit longer than in needed to be. Same with the running soldier thing. But if no one else complained I suppose it was all fine and dandy. Keep up the great work!
I completely love this video but I agree. To be honest, I fast-forwarded through both of those parts. But I loved the balloons and the falling down the stairs and the shot of the snow outside the window. I laughed so much!

Y’all don’t really seem to understand that Mary was SUPPOSED TO DIE, like she was had in the novel.
It’s weird, cuz you all wanted her to die the moment she was introduced in sneak peaks for season 3, and then people had to remind you that she did exist in the novels, too.
And now you think it’s some conspiratorial reason for why she was killed off......but no one’s mentioning how she also died in the original?
And I also don’t think that you guys properly view their relationship. Sherlock used John for many things, but we found them funny, and John has a large threshold for tolerating Sherlock’s nonsense. It was revealed that Sherlock even tended to stalk John, which normally would make people in other shows a creep...but John found it bewildering and, once again, just accepts and tolerates it. He’s been made into human experiments by Sherlock, and we all laugh, but once again, it’s solely because of John’s reactions to it. John’s put a shit ton of trust in their relationship. He head butted a police chief because he believed in Sherlock when know one did. He trusted Sherlock’s words when he intervened with the fall of him & Mary’s marriage after his wife shot his best friend. Even AFTER that trust had been broken when Sherlock faked his death, resulting in his psychosomatic limo returning and requiring therapy to overcome the emotion of his “dead” friend leaving him behind.
When it comes to the breach of the abnormal amount of trust he placed with Sherlock, and the scars it left behind, he chose to cut off all times with him. What Sherlock had done was toxic. Only with Mary’s influence did he reconsider. And once again, by tricking John with death, Sherlock managed to get John’s forgiveness probably through the most dickish possible way.
But what does John do? Allow it and forgive. Because he trusted him.
Now Sherlock taunted the old crone until she fired, and that’s a fact.
The bullet fired killed his wife, and that’s a fact.
Sherlock’s promise was broken, and the nigh endless trust he placed in him broke as well.
He didn’t beat the shit out of him then, no.
It was after people kept pushing the two of them together, (even his own subconscious in the form of his dead wife) until they were finally in the same room, working together again.
Here’s where the beating makes sense. This trust he was placing in Sherlock...when everyone he has ever met tells him not to (even Mycroft), has resulted in Sherlock looking like he made up the entire mass murdering scheme and accused a billionaire in public, just to manipulate John *again...*
And so his trust in Sherlock was broken again. And we know what happened the last time during the scenes in restaurants. But it’s not funny anymore. He was seeing a therapist to get him back to where he needed to be mentally, and John was not ready to speak with Sherlock, much less get dragged with him while he was still high and accusing billionaires of mass-murder, just to find out Sherlock had lied to him again. Not to mention, Sherlock had a knife in his hand, and it literally looked like he was threatening someone’s life, on top of it all, and John has seen just about enough death.
I will never get people being so affronted by this, and can only assume they lack empathy, or don’t see the actually realism of this scene. It made perfect sense.

Tbh, in my opinion season 4 was very unnecessary. Call me dumb or whatever, but this whole Eurus thing came outta nowhere, and to me, was super unbelieveable. Maybe I'm just not clever enough to understand all this smart people stuff, but apart from a few things I really, really wished they wouldn't have made it...like, how was Eurus on the phone, and at the same time she was in the house and at the prison, (sorry for this spoiler, I'll just expect everyone has seen it by now, if not, I apologize, please write angry comments, I don't mind) and also this dog thingy was really weird (eventho this could be a thing, according to what I know), and the part with the gravestones...I just...don't get it. I really don't. Sorry.

Whenever a writer uses any kind of brainwashing as a plot tool (and not even in a clever or a specific way), that means that writer is really tired of the story and doesn't know what the hell to do with it.
And to add to that, they use false evidence or ideas, to trick you into actually thinking about the case or events as if you can solve them, when in fact it's all bullshit and nothing is "real"!!!!
That being said, I still enjoyed Sherlock for what it was, and it was really good at times.

The shot fired at Sherlock that killed Mary. You know, the one that she commented with „Surprise.“? The one the audience saw coming, like, a miiiiiile away, Mary catching the bullet included. The series never tried to explain why all-knowing-Sherlock of all people was actually surprised by that. It still feels to me like Sherlock killed Mary deliberately. This whole series is poopie. Absolute garbage. But Season four was worse. A pile of hot fresh bullshit. Anyways. Great summary! The Monty Python analogy is just hilerarious. But, sadly, on point.
Everyone keeps forgetting to mention that weird feral sound John made after Mary died in his arms???? Like even Sherlock looked at him like "WTF??"!
And yeah the sequence with Sherlock and Eurus while she was pretending to be that one guy's daughter was the most enjoyable scene in the season.

I just noticed something else fucky: in the scene in Morocco you used, right before AJ enters, a laser sight from a sniper rifle shines on John's head and Mary pushes him down. But AJ is... carrying... a... pistol? (which makes way more sense for the kind of combat they get into, of course, but what happened to the sniper?)
I'm gonna pretend that AJ totally had a laser pointer and was fucking around with it.

I mean I understand it actually was a metaphor. But John talked to her as well. If it was only Sherlock, it could have been explained by a voice in his head or whatever, but everyone could hear her.

Your not and It seemed to be Eurus near the end it's shown that Sherlock has been talking to her the whole time. Even though there no phone when finally met up with Eurus and like John's disappearing legs it makes no sense will never be explained.

But, from the looks of things, honestly, it seems like the directors wanted to make another show entirely but were still forced to write Sherlock episodes, so they probably went, "FUCK IT" and proceeded to write some crazy villian-of-the-week super terrorist for every episode, as they added crazy telenovela sub plots for the sake of going the way of the "legendary" philippino drama, "Problemsaya" (I don't know the name, just trust me that its some shitty drama about cops with very little actual gun training killing drug dealers while in prison...)
Heh, maybe someone should do an analysis on seasons 3&4 of Sherlock as if to speak on the psyche's of the writers and directors about their diminishing passion for writing detective stories... Or something, I dunno...
Still, the NBA has better drama than this...
The monty python scene killed me. S4 was a big mess and The Final Problem was the worst episode of the show, I still can't believe Eurus was forgiven.
