You might have noticed that this girl was riding around with a mic and a recorder in her pocket. It was because Nastya wanted to be professional and record a good sound. But the recorder betrayed Nastya and didn't record anything, so Nastya had a mental breakdown

Thank you for taking us on a tour of small town Russia. I grew up in small town America, and I lived in small towns most of my 60 years of life. I have lived in many small towns, and none of them were as quaint yet well developed as your small town. Most American small towns lack most of the amenities that your town has. No hospitals, no community college, sometimes no schools, no public transit, no daily public market, no community center, no cultural centers, very few home food gardens (often there are laws against them). Usually, there are public markets on Saturdays during the summer. The schools will always have chain link fence like what prisons have because too many kids get abducted or hit by cars. There is much less commerce. There are few, if any, single-proprietor grocery stores, and they are usually Mexican stores. Every American small town has too many bars. At least one bar per 800 people and a number of churches that equal the number of bars, and an equal number of gas stations which always sell a little of every commercial product type. There are no more single proprietor gas stations. They were all taken away in the 90's. Now all gas stations are major corporate chains, but when I was young, there was at least one gas station per town owned by a local. If Americans had known what towns across the developed world were like, maybe they would have insisted on better. Until the 90's almost every small town had a small industrial park with a dozen or two small manufacturing businesses, but they are mostly gone now because no one can compete against Chinese imports and all the American companies that moved to Mexico which has cheap labor and no rules against pollution and environmental destruction (which factory owners crave). All small towns have a main street with stores, but since the pandemic, many of them are closed now or they sell stupid stuff that most people don't want to buy like sports team memorabilia or fancy dress resale shops, and there are the overpriced cafes for the rich people of each town or the people with disposable income who don't know how to cook. There is one Wallmart near one town in every 4 small towns and everyone must rely on it for everything, cuzz there is no where else to go. Teens often go to Wallmart to hang out or steal because they are bored. There is no spirit of general welfare of the community and there is always a group standing in the way of reasonable social progress or reasonable non corporate commercial progress. There will be one major manufacturer close by that will control local government and stifle competition for labor in order to keep wages lower than real free markets would support otherwise. Corporate capitalism has an iron clad strangle hold of every level of government snuffing out the aspirations of communities and individuals. If your community doesn't have a corporate hierarchy, KEEP THEM OUT. They will destroy your community.

You obviously know little about Russia, which is a hell hole of poverty, oppression, and despair. Russia has the highest suicide rate in the world, except for Soweto. Average male life expectancy is 64 years due to drug addiction aids, and poverty. 25% of Russians don’t have into a plumbing or running water. If you criticize the brutal tyrant who runs the place, you go to jail. NASTY is very careful about what she says because she’s is afraid and you obviously are not very good at reading between the lines. Wanted to share that as common as the love for traveling might be, I too love traveling, therefore I love to watch travel vlogs and videos about places I haven’t visited yet. Thus my presence here. By some fate I stumbled upon your RUclips channel, and after watching just a couple of your videos, I was totally hooked. Been watching your videos and must say, not only do I love them but you’re refreshingly funny too. Love your humor and your sarcasm! And this too is true, you really inspired me Nesty. Honestly, I’ve never been to Russia, and living in the U.S. my whole life, we only ever heard negative things about Russia here, and stereotypes as you’ve highlighted in your videos. Yet, I’m grateful for your videos which show the reality of your beautiful country. Needless to say, now I want to visit Russia! Thanks to you, Russia is officially on my bucket list lol. Still, another way you’ve inspired me Nesty is by helping me get out of my procrastination state to get started on my RUclips channel. I’ve been planning on getting started for years now, but after watching your videos, I’ve decided to finally get started, officially. My RUclips channel is not through this account though. I’ll let you investigate if you’d like, to discover who I am and what my channel is lol, you’re agent Nesty after all 😉. And hey, if you crack the case, perhaps we can stay in touch. Here’s a clue, though I’m just a dude from a tropical part of the U.S., I’ve lived in colder areas, perhaps as cold as your home, oh and I speak more than one language too. Anyway, miss you but will keep looking forward to your new videos. P.S. this may sound cheesy, cringy, or even “creepy” since everything is now, still, thank you for giving me life Nesty. I had to rewatch this a few times. 😅 there is so much eye candy. It is kinda melancholy to see how small villages are slowly depreciating. There is some truth of how small towns/villages end up being abandoned because of the network of the economy can do to them and where their role is in the country. We should normalize living in smaller towns/villages for a quieter life as there are is still so much positives in living in one. Now with you and the young generation that keep it alive by returning home really hits a deep heartfelt feeling. I currently live in the city but I hope to one day live out in the countryside as it really is more peaceful to be closer to nature and nourishing a small and great community. Btw great pick on the ending song clair de lune.

But I wish to buy a house someday somewhere in the nature 🥰 It’s definitely a more boring life, but it comes with a deep connection to nature and community that’s hard to find elsewhere 🌿

There's a reason why these small villages are dying out in Russia - there's no jobs there or nearby. That's why it's mostly old people or people who travel to visit. You have to be able to support yourself to live, and that's why people move to the cities.

The crucial thing is for there to be ways for young families to make a living in such places - sometimes is possible to go to such places if there's high speed Internet and make a living, but depends on the nature of the profession. Now there can also be cases where living in such a place is in a viable commute distance to an urban area where jobs are - well, especially how commute times in large urban areas get worse and worse. So why not commute from some place that is more peaceful, pleasant, and much superior environment for children to grow up.

thank you for allowing us to see how it is to live peacefully without the noise of modern society. Having a roof, family and food is all anyone every needs in life. Love how the Russia town/villages look and simplicity of life, we live a rat race life in the USA; always wanting more, more and more. We forget the things that matter most to us and that is to have a family that you can laugh, eat/drink, go visit the country side and just enjoy each other's company.
Where we live in the big city; we have not seen our own family member in 5-10 years and they only live 20 mins away. I hope you guys don't ever get into that kind of life where you chase material things and forget the most precious ones (the families)

My village in northern Spain has similar population and similar public infraestructure, 3 supermarkts and also small business and way too many pubs and cafes. However the village is mainly appartament blocks while arround there is small towns (20 houses or so) where you have small 1 or 2 floor houses with garden and also the buildings and equipment for farming and cattle. There is public market on thursdays where people sell fresh products from their farms. We have 2 medium size industries one a coffee toster, and other that made plastic containers for food.
Even when our village is not doing bad it loses people year after year and some of those "aldeas" arround may disapear in a couple of generations, we have quite a lot of mountain small towns that have been abandon.
Your town looks nice, it something where I have live in a medium size city but I rather prefer the easier and quieter village life.

It is nothing like the one I currently live in, when I am not working in a city. during the day The most important thing about your village is that, even if it looks a bit rough compared to my village, with a population of just 709 :) (we have bears), yours has a hospital, two schools, and people like you love living in it. They feel safe, they can take good care of their family, and they hold the village-town in a nice memory, so they would seek shelter there even in the case of an alien invasion. A village in Russia, he initially visited for 2 days to look at a Monastery. He commented to the Priest some repairs were needed, especially before winter. My son is a qualified Plumber,a good carpenter and quite handy asanElectrician, but not qualified as an electrician. The Priest offered to get him accomodation and food if he did the work. He found tools and materials and did the work. He finished in 4 days. The lady he stayed with offered him housing, food and some spending money if he did some work for her. Then other ladies offered the same deal! My son said there were hardly any men in the village that weren’t drunks! My son stayed 3 months and left because he was scared of being thrown in jail for over staying his Visa. The villagers offered him a forged false identity, but he was scared of a Russian prison. He still misses that village.

I've been following your channel and I'm truly impressed by your content. Your village is breathtaking.
As a side note, I began learning Russian 37 days ago due to a new Russian friend I met online in January on this year. We've been working on several digital projects together and have formed a strong bond. He's 12 years older than me, at the age of 55.
I've had the pleasure of knowing his family as well. They live in a rural area and have three children: a married daughter (32), a college student (20), and a young son (10).
We primarily communicate using Telegram's translation feature, which has been a great motivator for me to learn Russian since I found Duolingo.
I hope to improve my Russian language skills significantly before turning 50 in the next few years ahead, and perhaps even visit Russia someday.
It's a pleasure to connect with you from Indonesia 🇮🇩 I wish you continued success.

We rarely if ever get the truth my friend. The pandemic truly woke me up. Our MSM in the west is as corrupt as it gets. I'm saddened that people like HRC have chosen to villify people like this living a normal life in Russia. We must call out the devils in our own culture.
