Worked for me. I cleaned the intake screens, took the meter off and gave it a cleaning and lightly tapped any visible solenoids with my pliers. Then I unseated and reseated (checked) the connections. I put it back together and its on load number 3. Thanks kind practical lady!
I had the FH error code today. I’m a widow on a fixed income and really didn’t want to pay for a repairman. I reset the washer a couple times, according to the owners manual. That didn’t work. Neither hose was kinked. I disconnected both hoses from the water supply, had lots of water. I disconnected both hoses from the back of the washer and hit the jackpot! The hot water screen was clogged with fine particles. I cleaned both screens with a toothbrush and I was back in business. Hope this helps someone else.

purchased an inlet valve and never installed it 2 years ago when it look like it had a leak? it didn't. Then last weekend, the thing started going crazy with the F2 code and then the SUDS and finally the FC, FH and my favorite, the FU....So, I cleaned the filter and took off the front and back panels. Replaced the pump and cleaned out the boot and leveler that attaches. Started it back up and the codes would pop up still. I checked the line where the water pump into by running a fire hose of water through it clearing any blockages. There was none. I ordered a brand new Washer Dryer set for $2600 cause I was just over it. I thought. Still I couldn't leave it alone. I took out the pressure switch, cleaned it, reinstalled it, and ordered a new one just in case it could save me 2600? Then I saw Your Video!! A middle aged, cigarette chewing Marge Simpson's sister, the maytag repairman with the old "Japanese Reset"!!!! This is never gonna work I told myself, but what do I have to lose? I already blew 6 hours, cleaning the laundry room and effing with the thing. I try the "Japanese Reset"and try to washer one last time. AND guess what? IT WORKED!!! Thanks for saving me 2600 clams!!!!!
Thanks for the video. I unplugged the washer from the wall and waited a minute, then plugged it in again. Then it resumed cycle and finished the load normally. Thanks for the tip.
FYI-those control boards tend to develop a light corrosion on the "pins" that make contact with the plugs. When that happens there will be a less positive connection with the motherboard, especially when its in spin mode and the machine starts to wiggle. I spent an hour with q-tips and rubbing alcohol cleaning both the top and bottoms of the pins. I went through A LOT of q-tips and when I was done they were saturated with a greyish-black film. Since then I have yet to get a trouble code.
Just fixed my Whirlpool Duet FH code by removing the top & tapping the water flow meter while continuing the fill cycle. Must've loosen up some gunk in there...next step was to remove it & clean with oven cleaner. (I checked the intake screens first but they were clean).
Great tips thank you! What were the first things you tried that looked OK? My problem started after a new water heater was installed so I though maybe some crud got in somewhere when they were turning off and on water...... I only looked at the water inlet and outlet lines so far, which seemed OK. If there's anything else I should check before this Japanese fix let me know.
I do have same problem...I'll do what you said and let you know if this fix my washer. I already inspect the water meter and looks pretty nice to me, so maybe thefe is some rust on the connectors...
Mine had air in the hot side cause i changed the hot water tank 😅 if you need help with your washer stopping and you having to cycle the Lowe's manually I can give you my number and I can talk you through it it's super easy just make sure you have a couple buckets around for the water that is left behind cuz it will leak out when you unscrew that trap
Hi Jeremy - when you say hot water tank are you talking about a new hot water heater? My washer started giving me the HF code after I got a new hot water heater, so it sounds like the same issue. If you can walk me through what to do I'd appreciate it! Thank you
I've tried just about everything! Nothing is working. I did the "Japanese Reset" twice, now three times, nothing. We replaced the pressure sensor and that didn't help. We replaced the water intel valve, nothing. I'm out of options. Please, please someone give me something else. I'm pregnant and trying to wash all my babies clothes before I deliver. Would rather not purchase another washer. But might have to if nothing helps.
Yeah didn't work for me either, did you check the screens in your hoses? Ours ended up being our hot water wasn't hooked up right, even though we ONLY use cold water it was still losing pressure 🙂 good luck!!
I get the FH error code but only when we set for warm or hot water. With cold water everything works fine. Checked the hoses and screens all is clean. Any ideas on what is causing this?
I just tried it. I started my first wash and it FH error after 1 minute. Tried immediately after and its about 5 minutes in with no error code. Hopefully the next couple wash loads it stays away
Ugh for 5 months!!! 5 months I could only wash 2 outfits at a time (and I have a family of 6) today I've had enough. We would run "quick wash" and 15 mins in it would go fh.so we'd stop, start 15 mins FH. Run that 2-3 then switch to "rinse and spin" hoping this works haha
@@Mikoli3221120 mine did the same thing behind the panel under the loading door is a trap that was packed full the water would barely drain out and it was basically filtering the water and leaving all the soap suds behind and making the washer stink kicking off after 10 15 minutes and having to cycle through Lowe's just like you're saying pop that panel off clean that trap and it will fix it I promise you
I just ended up having to change my water hookup lol fixed it.. the way the tap is in my wall the hose was kinked, when it was behind the support beam thing, I had to rip out the wall board, and put the hose on the outside of the wall beam thing. All good 😉

She is correct. Not sure which clip did the trick. But I did unplug all of them and it worked. Thank you for saving me time and money. You rock!

It can be difficult to find straight information on RUclips. This video was a great recommendation 👍
Miss Eileen … you are an angel! A hard reset fixed my Kenmore HE4t FH/HF problem.

I love a woman that takes the bull by the horns and isn’t afraid to try to fix something by her self good for you. 👍🏻

This method worked perfectly!!!!! Thank you for the insight into your problem solving skills and posting for all to see.
I am so happy for you!
i rarely comment and i know this post was 5 years ago but thank you so much this helped after nothing else would. i really appreciate the share.

That is great! Thanks for letting us know.
You are AWESOME! As another woman "Fixit" I appreciate this, also love the "Japanese reset" hey, if it works.
Did you unplug the washer when you did the reset?
Ty, Ty, Ty, I Tried your Japanese reset on my mom washer working good!!!! Big Thanks Again
Thank You and May God Bless you Miss Eileen!

Have you had the FH error since posting this?
No error code 25 loads and counting!
i tried did you unplug all cords including the ones on the side or just the ones in the front
Nicholas Barnes I unplugged all the wires. Hundred loads later and still working. Be sure to clean your traps (2)
No, over 100 loads and still working like new
