A super demonstration of how to fingerpick Graham. I like how you emphasise how important it is to be patient and take your time when trying to mastering the skill - this video has certainly inspired me to give it a go.
Hi Leslie...so glad you found us to and welcome to the channel and for becoming a Patron...your support is very much by myself and Roz...it's great to hear you found this tutorial useful and I will be posting more along the same lines in the forth coming weeks...👍🎶🎵... sending you our love and best wishes 💖
Hi John....just pleased that you found it helpful and it's great to know you'll be giving it a go...just takes things very slowly and all will be well....👍🥰💞
Graham, another excellent video! Thank you yet again! I'll give finger picking a serious attempt now, something I was interested in, but I never seemed "ready" to try!
Hi Mike...so pleased you enjoyed it...and please do give it a go...it's a great tool to have in your uke armory....just take things slowly and all will be well... and it sounds great...👍🙂💕🎶🎵💖🤗
I’m sooo pleased that you’re using your thumb for both G and C strings, many teachers don’t and then ‘Travis’, type patterns become so much more difficult for us, late beginners. 🎶🤗🌷
Thanks Graham, I love this as I'm a big Dylan fan & Adele of course 😊 We play this in my Uke Group but now I can show them thid in future..willpractice when I get the chance 😀 Love & hugs to you & Roz, Graham 🌟 🥰 🤗 💖@@EagleUkes
@@kimmouzouros3682 .. thanks so much Kim....I'm so pleased you liked it and found it useful....it is a great song and I love the Adele version..the finger picking just makes it stand out for me....👍🙂🎵🎶💕...sending you our love and hugs 😘🤗💕
Hi Graham, I've never been a finger style player on guitar, I usually stuck to my plectrum although sometimes I'll pick a bass note with my thumb and pick out two or three strings with a single finger. I've never tried finger picking on a uke but I really must have a go. I was listening to you and thought the sound of a finger picked uke was very reminiscent of the sound of a harp and that would be perfect to accompany a nice Irish tune on the tin whistle.
Thanks Ian....the uke does sound very harp like when finger picked and greatly adds to its sound...I love mixing and matching in between strumming...thanks for watching and for your great comment...👍🙂🎶🥰
Thanks you so much, I've wanted to try playing and singing "Make you feel my love" by Adele for a long time. Great advice for pikin, I'll definitely try something else. Thanks again Graham 🥰
@annatomasi9826 ...Yes I do Anna I much prefer the sound of having a Low G....I used to fit a Fremont Squeakless wound Low G string and my other strings were Aquila...but now Aquila do a set with a Low wound G which is fine and keeps the costs down....👍🎶🎵💖🥰
Thanks very much Graham - very good advice. I am inclined to get a wee bit disheartened with finger picking. More practise needed and patience! For 3/4:time is it 4,3,2,1,2,3? Many thanks and all the best.
Just keep at it Lisa but don't stress..it's not an essential skill..just playing your uke and having fun is the main thing....and yes for 3/4 or 6/8 songs the 432123 or 432132 pattern works really well...good luck..💞💕💖
Haha Dave...you got me sussed out there...🤣😂 ...thought I'd fulfil a request by some members of our Eagle Ukes group...hope it might of proved of some use to you?...hope all's good with you and yours...sending you our love and best wishes 😘💓
