Thank you, this was the most thought provoking episode you folks put out. You showed kuya a lot of respect by being gracious guests at his home and his work place; I don't think I could have eaten the pag pag but you were kind enough to share in his meal and be non-judgemental. You were compassionate and loving towards your fellow man. If this show and episode appeared on US TV I'd nominate it for an Emmy. The commentary at the end was insightful and heartfelt. Excellent job!
These show may not have lasted but to me it is the most sensible show/reality show i have ever watched and had followed, not only locally but even US reality shows. Its not just for fun and entertainment, IN FACT,it is educating and thought-provoking. Excellent job as well to the producers for coming up with a show like this. They showed the real world here in the philippines. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I hope so too. If I was living in the Philippines I'd give them something. This is so heartbreaking to watch. But these young men are so mature beyond their years to show respect to the family. I am very touched. God bless!
This episode has got lot of things to tell us. One of them is to be thankful and contented of what you have rather than be mad and blames others and God of what you dont have. I recall a missionary with no arms and legs once said that life is about choices, it's either you can be angry of what you dont have or be thankful of what you have and God will do the rest.
michael and brian you guys rock! saludo ako sa inyo.. 1m thumbs up... charlie nkikisimpatya ako sa iyo dahil even me i can't ate that too.. but you are brave to try it..
Omg guys... evrytime I watch your episodes. I apriciate more and more what I have and not to be greedy. . Some people have nothing.. thanks guys for uploading the episodes. You rock.
This is TRULY the BEST EPISODES guys. I give you all the credits and respect for experiencing the true hardships of the less fortunate. The Pope would certainly be proud of you all..... Hello from Tennessee USA...
I love you guys even more after watching this episode. I myself can't eat that food that was taken from the rubbish. But with you guys you did it. I can't blame Charlie for seeing that he's about to vomit. It's just natural but in the end you still tried tasting it just not to offend the poor guy. You're truly awesome guys.
Wooow! I really liked this episode!!! It takes guts to try food that might seem unpleasant and in those conditions but it is the reality that many people live in this world and they got no other choice but to smile and take it. I am a person who is kind of like the guy named Charlie... I like these dudes because they get into the REAL world!!!.... This is the truth and reality that many of us try not to think of... Thanks for sharing!!!
I can't blame Charlie for complaining... kahit ako, d talaga ako kakain nyan...tsk..but still, thumbs up sa kanila ginawa parin kahit nkakadiri... hehe
this seems unbelievable and sad. and that man originally from kalibo, aklan managed to produce 7 kids, where is his mind? isn't he capable of thinking, "where am i gonna get the food to feed them? pagpag?!!! from the garbage??!! i bet you, the man will just keep on making babies, because no one i believe is there to tell him to stop? OH NO!!! Thank you Juan Direction, an eye opening for this one!! Take notes!!!
sana magising n mga mahihirap n huwag nila tiisin hirap. puwede nman mgpakahirap sa trabaho katawan lang pagod but please dapat desenteng buhay kaya nman eh
They leave their province to come here to manila with a peso sign in their eyes haha naimagine ko yang cartoon with dollar sign drawing. But it's true tho, leaving their provinces thinking that going to manila will somehow give them a better life.
I feel so bad when I see people living in that kind of miserable condition and I just realized how fortunate I am compared to them. I commend the people behind this show for bringing this up and also to all the guys who for "one day" tried to live the way these poor people are living everyday. Such an eye-opener to the government and the public officials who in every election day make promises....just promises.......
Even if your bahay kubo in the province is made up bamboo or shanty material still you can manage to stand up inside your house and a little bit more spacious. Metro Manila is not a paradise it's just like a survival of the fittest. It pains me a lot seeing that situation :-(
So sad :(
Really appalled at how the guy with red faux hawk reacted to the others eating pag-pag. An insensitive cock of epic proportions. He was just staring at them in disgust like the rubbish man wasn't there. He's the one who has to eat that on a daily basis. His presence and insensitivity towards Manong ruined the whole video. One wonders if these guys are genuinely in it for the experience or are they simply trying to exploit poverty, etc. to gain popularity?
You know what dude ur to much as a viewer y don’t u just give credit to these guys… especially to the guy u’ve telling that insensitive you know from the fact that these guys is not accustomed to this kind of living… and most pure Filipinos are... instead of questioning their sincerity… atleast give credit for them exposing this kind of problem that most people in the government pretending to be blind. Kahit ipilit mo pa yung argument mo that they might doing it to gain popularity… so what? They work for it.. the hard way.. di yung sumikat lang dahil sa scandal… look for the bright side that this show showed to all every-juan simple lang naman ang gusto ipaabot ng episode nato “appreciate” what you have cuz there are people who are less fortunate just like this family and “respect ”sa mga taong namuhay in a hard way and yet marangal. Kung wala ka rin naman pala masabing maganda sa kanila manuod ka nalng ng discovery channel.. atleast mamulat ka sa mga bagay2x.
I blame the Philippine government for allowing this horrible living conditions persists on their fellow mankind. . They have the power, and resources to end all this, since marcos left.. how can one sleep well at night, knowing your the cause of such suffering? Come judgement time, they'd Wish they valued others, as much as themselves.
Wallis Samillano not trying to be rude but you dont really know what you are talking about, parang sa sinasabi mo ay mahirap si kuya dahil hindi sya naghahanap ng matinong trabaho. sa tingin ko, hindi naman po na hindi sya naghahanap, kasalanan po ng government kung bakit sya mahirap at millions of other people sa pilipinas. sabi sa video, nahanap lang yong left over food ng anak ni kuya meaning they did not buy it. opinion ko lang po, you are in no position to judge someone if you have not stepped in their shoes. as you stated earlier, sabi mo mahirap kayo. so why waste money on browsing the internet when you could be using your money to buy food instead of making rude remarks about someone you dont even know on youtube?

True.I think there needs to be something done to help show people how to live off the land and natural resources than live like this.:(
Charlie is a funny boy
