For me I found the older I got, the less music became important in my life like many other useless things that were just taking up precious time, I think it’s part of development as humans we go through stages so it’s great that you are thinking of these things and taking small steps but don’t be too hard on yourself, small actions compound over time ❤

Knowledge belongs to the believer. That includes anything to benefit yourself. You should draw from many sources to make yourself more disciplined and a better Muslim. But Islam and the Quran are the source that we should be mainly pulling from.

I find them somewhat useful, but I didn’t start to "self-improve" until I learned about Tawhid. It was only when I truly understood Allah and had it in my heart to become a better person and Muslim. I’ve read a handful of self-help books but could never finish them because they didn’t address what I was searching for. I’ve learned how to implement better habits by understanding what Allah loves and hates. When you learn more about Allah, you can’t stop-how could you?
I liked Atomic Habits, but I only read the first chapter. It helped me understand that habits should be taken slowly. When you implement habits too quickly, they won’t stick, but a little goes a long way.

I have always read a lot in the pursuit of knowledge and been into "self improvement" but only just started reading the translation of the Quran and really understanding it for what it is (mindset transformation, the way of life, reminder, etc). All the points you mentioned in this video addresses this topic perfectly and I'm glad to not be the only one with this perspective. Really like the stress on the point that no matter what you read - even if you read every book ever in history - you wouldn't get any closer to self fulfillment. Besides those books being authored by humans, the Quran is the literal words of Allah s.w.t, (the creator) there is infinitely more wisdom in it.
Aside: It is even mentioned in the Quran as a challenge to creation to create a quran like it, and really no book self help or otherwise compares. Interestingly this continuous to show how the lessons and parables in the Quran are timeless.

Also, you’d be surprised how many of the authors of these types of self help books research different topics including Islam before writing but they purposely remove Allah from the equation, probably to cater to a non believing audience or to not be labelled a ‘religious’ book even though Islam isn’t just a religion. They remove a lot of credit to Islam in many things in the west, even a lot of their laws they benefit from today was developed from Sharia which funnily enough they fear so much. This is why kafir can be translated to a person or people who ‘cover’ the truth, very sad.

Jazakallahu. As for monetizing, I choose not to to be on the safe side. The best case scenario is that the ads aren’t ’inappropriate’ but contain music, and I don’t want that.

@@YoussefWaly11 Yes man, to be honest I was working very hard to monetize a channel and thought it was an overly strict ruling that because of instrumental music or women not wearing hijabs in ads, that monetizing is prohibited.
I then realized that our rizq is pre-determined, so Allah will grant me the rizq in fully halal ways insha'Allah.

Hey, Waly need a professional video editing agency to edit your videos? By working with us
You'll notice increased watch time, more likes, and eventually more views. Some drawbacks in your video I noticed on of them is Bad sound Quality. You are doing a great job in content but lacking in video editing aren't you interested in having a chat that could help your channel reach its original potential. Looking for your answer. Thank you
