The story is...
Joseph lost his father and he lives on the farm with his mother. He finds a map and goes through 3 things he fears the most: attic because of spiders, climbing up the tree cause he's afraid he'll fall, not to mention his father is no longer there to catch him, and finally the fear of joining his father on board on the boat. The father on the story is clear that he's dead but we're not sure how. The only theory is he probably got lost somewhere and died. The father left a chest full of memories with him and his family. The last gift the father gave was bravery. And I believe he also regret leaving him with his fears he hasn't faced yet, which is why his father left those clues.

Finally, after years, another animation of Minecraft that actually tells you to be happy while you have a family and friends! Great work on it Tom!
I cried after watching this. I didn't have a chance to meet my father he died before I was even born. This animation made me emotional and jealous at the same time, I wished that I felt that exact feeling that boy felt while he was with his father.
It's okay. I always was so afraid of talking to my dad. I feared he would be like he used to be. Nothing I liked he liked. But reading this text gave me hope. I still have time to talk to my dad. I'm sorry you never could. It breaks my heart that you'll never know what it's like to have a father's love. When we first went to Canada, it wasn't what he expected. He became sad and angry at the same time. Sometimes I sit in my room, crying and thinking 'What if he's sad again today?' But he's not so I should be happy. I never thought I'd have a worse day than the first day I had depression. But I have one. My cousin is moving to America. I trusted her with the bottom of my heart. I told her everything. Now she's gone. She is my best friend. (And I'll never know why we named our Minecraft world IDIOTS PLACE THIS.)

Very touching to see the journey little Joseph has been through, the struggle of bearing through the disappearance of his father, and knowing the last gift a father can give to his son, the most important of all, is his -son’s possessions- love.
In all seriousness this is a beautiful story that some can relate to and perhaps find some comfort in. Needless to say I shed a few tears myself.

Only just watched this about a year and a half after it came out but I've got to say it's one of the saddest and deepest animations I've ever seen. The animation is amazing and the story-line is very believable.

That was amazing. I was on the verge of tears at the end there, for sure. These animations, which aren’t part of any real series (they are kind of their own thing) are where your talent lies. Sure, both Worlds Apart and Songs of War were good, but it’s the standalone animations like this one that are the best.

Очень хорошо, что Плазмевцы не забивают на эмоциональную и сюжетную составляющую, как многие другие популярные анимационные каналы; которые делают акцент только на экшонестости и проработке деталей. И это их главный отличительный признак!

It's very good that the BPS people aren't ignoring the emotional and storyline component like many other popular animation channels are; those other ones are more into the action and detailization side of things. That's what makes BPS different! Great job!

Assuming he got lost at sea there’s two things that could’ve happened.
HE GOT LIT AND DROWNED
Or got lost in a storm and died after hit boat sunk and he ran out of energy to swim making it a slow, agonizing, painful death as water filled his lunges and choked him as he slowly blacked out and took hours to finally die as the water damaged his lungs and made his respiratory system have a physical breakdown as he drowned.

They way his father looked down in sadness killed me and knowing that was his final voyage hurt because they loved each other so much but the kid was too afraid to go in the boat and left and now he’s gone
If his dad knew it was going to be his last voyage it just makes it even sadder

I haven’t cried in nearly 6 years, but this, this animation, had me tearing up, this is probably the most heartwarming animations I’ve seen yet
Im so late but im crying because i love the message this video gave me.... correct me if im wrong but i think its supposed to tell us to cherish the time we can have with our loved ones because you never know when they're going to their 'real' home. It also tells us to overcome our greatest fears and give a shot in everything, if you achieve your goal of overcoming your fears... you will get a reward, but if you don't its ok because not everything has something in return... i love this and i also really appreciate all the effort given in this video and i also appreciate the messages in this video.

I am crying with sadness at this animation right now. I'm thanking God that I left my bedroom door closed so my parents can't see me like this. The fishing reminds me of how I am not always doing things with my dad when I should be. It's difficult to make me cry, and some how your animation found it's way into my heart. This was a beautiful and yet so saddening animation. I going to watch this again right now.
Update 1: My eyes are getting ready to cry and starting to tear up before the 2 minute mark of this animation. How is this possible?
Update 2: It's happening again just as the boat leaves, even though I'm prepared for it. I probably need mental help because I've watched this twice and I'm planning on keeping this video in another tab because it makes me cry.
Update 3: My dad came into my room and heard my voice cracking when I was talking to him. He asked if anything is wrong, I said I was fine but I told him about this and how it is very meaningful. I will try to show this to him tomorrow, actually, I'll try to get all of my family to see this. I'm not going to watch this anymore tonight though because it's bedtime and I'll run out of tears. Thank you to all those who made this animation. You did a fantastic job at melting my hardened heart. Even Ebeneezer Scrooge and the Grinch probably would've had their hearts softened by this.
