In my opinion, this is the best Prada collection since F/W 2007. I liked S/S 08 but this is so much fresher.

PRADA is amazing. This was a very different collection and I like the reference to the old Balenciaga Silhouette and the cuts were done nice. I understand that high fashion is expensive but its just not how you look but the quality of the fabrics and textiles. Also how you style the clothes with your wardrobe.
I want everything in this collection and in Miu Miu im so glad that in this season Muccia Prada didnt use a bunch of dead animals for clothing
Prada's collection is hard to define because it's so inconsistent with very different themes and directions, some are more or less successful than others. Regardless, I think this collection in particular is very young/apathetic yet very well thought out.

I do NOT understand the whole frayed edges thing.
If you look harder I guess you could interpret the elements as methphors for the abstract idea of optimism. the idea of the sun seems a strong reference in abstract way. Do you think she refering to the green house affect that we are at the fate of our own demise if we do not remain optomistic. the sun for many people is a symbol of optomism. She used the cloque fabric aswell which translates in french to mean blister.

It is a common knowledge that muccia creates collections which are growers. At first you are thinking, 'I am not sure if i like this'. But then she explains her theory behind the collection and the more you look at the collection the more you like it.
However, with this collection i do not get the fasination with such a bare collection. It seems like something is missing. Nor is the subtext/concept clear. There appears to b alot of disparate refrences and for me the silhouettes r banal.
