Actually prefer when you don't reveal because I think that them thinking that they're talking to an actual grandma and getting
nowhere will make them lose more motivation than them being told that the whole thing was just a prank to waste their time.
Ohh yes that sounds correct. I would think that they lose their confidence more thinking it was an actual call.
Beside that it's a tedious work to get some scammers to the point realizing what just happened to them. Take this brainless scammer as an example. Kit demonstrated the voice changer and he was still like: "Prove to your grandma that your Daniel." What exactly do you think you were just told about?
That makes me think that it's not worth to reveal anything as some are just too ignorant to get it and most of the others are laughing hysterically or curse to hide their embarrassment. On the other side I'd like to see his colleagues laughing at him for being fooled for several hours.
I think for this reveal he still didn't comprehend.
Yea I agree, I think granny getting to them is so much better. I do think sometimes kitboga revealing is necessary like when that scamner starting making death threats over $200, that was just horrible and really got to kitboga so he broke character but sometimes it is better to just let them think an elderly person got the best of them. The silver lining of the current pandemic is that many potential victims won’t be able to go out to get gift cards. I’m already seeing a drastic reduction in cold calls from scammers, at a record-breaking four consecutive business days without a single one!

Apparently this virus have some positive effects too.
On the other hand this has spawned "Corona Virus" scams. Also, Target and some other stores are still open. Hopefully this will lead to a reduction in scamming but I am nervous that it won't. Some of the scammers get violent and threaten people. If you watch Jim Browning's videos scammers tell victims to go out even after they said that they were critically ill, needed to care for sick family members, etc. Really sad...

@@riscr2276 There are a lot of them. Some pretend to be from the government offering payment support, some selling supplies and medicines, others for tax purposes. It's really pathetic.
@@riscr2276 Just last week, here in Northern California an elderly woman was going "To The Walmart" to purchase gift cards. Lucky of her she took a cab and during the cab ride the cabbie learned what she was going to do. The cabbie drove her to the local PD.

Anonymuse that’s not true. You can tell RUclips without disliking people’s videos... you can choose the option "don’t recommend me this".

Laila you get recommended videos that you have disliked because disliking simply does not work. That’s not how the algorithm is build in code. If you don’t want to see a certain type of videos do this (on the App): scroll to that video, click the three dots in the bottom right corner and select "don’t recommend this/I’m not interested".
When a scammer says that he's going to "transfer your call" to a different department, he hands the headset to his colleague. That's literally all that happens. And in this video you can hear the headset changing hands which is hilarious. It's always especially funny when the second person has significantly better English than the first

In Greece, scams are usually performed with cash. Some elderly people keep a lot of cash hidden in the house. Scammers call them and say something like "I'm a police officer, and your son/daughter had a car accident and killed a child. We can help him not to go to jail, but you'll have to give us 10.000 euros. I can come by your house in an hour". They may also get a woman to cry in the background.
There's been a few cases of elderly women throwing like 8.000 cash to a scammer from the balcony of their house.
