can the mic itself play a part in the quality of sound?
appreciating the quality and the humour boys, thanks a lot
Guys, this video is clearly not reflecting the 500-ish subscribers you've got, great video, with a good sense of humor and quality production. Subbed and I do want to see more of you! Keep it up!
Awesome, thanks very much for the kind words!
Very thorough test. And nice production quality on the video as well.
Thank you!
I have the BOYA BY-WM6, was always very happy with it, thanks for reviewing the dual channel version of this wireless lav mic!
I've got this set. Well, sound quality is ... quite poor, to be honest. It's o.k. after equalization. Set the receiver to 'stereo' but had one mono channel recorded. 1:43 - so to have a stereo I would need to use both mics at the same time?
Underwater Ireland / Подводная Ирландия ya because normally a micropfhone is mono. You need 2 mono micros for stereo or a stereo microphonr wich one habe 2 ones inside
Great video guys. I would like to see these transmitters paired with 'better' lav mics if possible.
Yea, the lavs were not good.
2 years pass did you change your mind about this dual channel wireless microphone.....is it still worth it guys? Great channel by the way 👍😃
Thanks for the detailed comparison. Ordering them now.
by far the best result and testing video. thanks a ton guys. cheers from Mumbai!
Awesome guys . This is exactly what i was looking for . And the way how you guys have presented this video clears all my doubt . Dont stop making more videos
Hey glad you found it useful! We've got many more videos in the pipeline so don't worry. We've just both been on holiday recently but we're back on it now!
I have Channel A to 48 but not getting voice in both speekers at a time only one working A or B, Some one help me to correct setting for Transmitter and Reciver ?
Proper vid guys. Guess I know what I'm getting for a start up lav mic kit. Subbed.
Awesome, glad it helped. Also, congrats on being our 100th subscriber! Thanks!
now this is a good test for it, great video, guys.

Exactly the video I was looking for! Subbed :)
+AztecKing444 Thank you very much!
Great test, I found it very helpful. Thank you for the video!
Great video. I just bought this same set up, tried it out, but not getting quite as good of sound as you are getting. But I’m a big dummy when it comes to audio video setup and recording. Can you tell me what volume you have the transmitters set at, what volume you have the receiver set at, and what audio levels you have set in the camera. Maybe point me in the right direction. If it helps I’m recording on a Panasonic G7, straight into the camera, no preamp or anything like that.
Very best boya mw8 for ur audio adjustments for camera work
Thank you, guys. Now I know I can buy this wireless mic.
I have importante question sorry....this equipment allow to edit 2 microphones, recordered like 2 separate channels for edit in post production? How set it?
Your video really saved me a lot of time. Thank you
Glad it helped!
Very useful guys! I will definitely get one thanks to this video. Thanks guys!
Sound awesome! Thanks for this review!!
At 4:22 the subject is close to the camera, and receiver as well I assume, but you can hear noise/interference in the audio recording. Do you know what may have caused this?
Hey bro.. can I use it for live shows for singing by connecting its receiver to the music mixer or amplifier using a 3.5 mm to 6.5 mm converter??
Thank you 😇
this was an awesome test thank you, from an outdoor creator
Hello, Can i split the stereo output into 2 mono xlrs to have two different channels in my camera?
That is a brialliant video. Thanks for the review. Just want to know something, if I am using a two or three camera setup, and I added additional transmitters, would the extra ones pick up and record the audio into the camera if they were all on the same exact settings and channel?
Hey great vid, I have a question. I have bought this mics today, and I was experiencing a lot of interference when using both at the same time. Is this because I did not put them in stereo? or does one need to be on channel A and the other on Channel B? Thanks in advance
Nice review, thanks! I have this system and what I can't understand is that the volume controls on the transmitter and receiver only appear to affect the headphone volume and not the gain. So it seems necessary to use the gain in camera, which, although it doesn't sound to bad at all, doesn't seem the right way to do things. Your thoughts?
Good work guys 🙂
Hi do we get 2 channels. In audio ? Will I be able to edit individual channels ? Please tell me How I could do that.
great review and test.. just what I was looking for!
Thanks for this review guys. If I use this system shooting 2 kids with lav mics on each of them, how can I make sure my voice is on the video as well? I mean can I connect BY-WM8 transmitter to my camera and another transmitter to the Boya transmitter itself for my own mic?
sounds absolutely awesome to me.
hi, could i buy a BOYA wm4 and use a boya bym1dm for tolking two people in the same time? Instead to buying this model? thanks for replay :)
hey bro ... can i use mobille phone for record a sound ... or is there some slot for a sdcard ??? or i need zoom recorder or cam with in for it ??
I just purchased this mic and I am having with a huge problem. The problem is when I try to go far from my phone or camera. It's doesn't record any voice. Just more than 5 meters. What I should do ?
I have tried with many channels and only on channel 48 I can record clear voice. Volume is full but the problem is less sound and after 5 meters no sound records
Hi, thank you for the review! I have the Boya wm8 pro-k2 and the zoom h4n. I was wondering if i can record each wireless in a different channel of the zoom, even if there's only one xlr input... thanks!
can someone tell me what settings do they use for the microphone transmitter and receiver. I bought these mics but the audio is not as good as the audio in this video . someone please helpp!!
Hello friend, I'm a beginner in this world of microphones. I'm looking for a wireless microphone to use more on cell phones and from what I noticed the Boya models are very cost-effective. However, I saw that there are other models from Boya that are older and that looked very good too and I wanted to know what is more worth buying today. For example: Among Boya BY WM4 PRO 2, Boya BY WM Mark II, Boya BY WM6 and Boya BY WM M8, which of these would you indicate more for the cost benefit to me that I will use to make homemade recordings, for trips, nothing professional.. ? I understand that Wm6 and Wm8 because they are UHF tend to have a better transmission / reception in the signal, but the others are very distant around quality? Another point I found is that the WM4 pro is smaller in size, more portable without those previously large and fixed, right? Anyway, I would like your help to choose the best option. Big hug.
Really well done. Thank you very much!
Hi thanks for the good review. Now I have two k2 mic and one k1 mic in my studio. and when I record my video with boya mic(My camera is sony pxw x70) It makes noises which is very similar when you speaking apart 100M 3:06 ( Of course I record my audio just right after my camera). And this noise occurs on my every boya mic set. Do you know why this happen? Any Idea? Please help me. this one drives me crazy.
good show ... ..with a trrs adaptor will the reciever work on a samsung 9 phone? thanks..
Hello there, today I purchased the boya Boya BY-WM8 Pro-K2
and I am facing that kind of issue while recording on both lav's at the same time
@t
any reply would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Anyone know what the difference between these and the 'pro' version is, other than a smaller receiver?
Hi..how to avoid noise? What should i do?
I subscribed just for the great sense of humor XD. I have a question though, It seems that there is quiet some (static) noise. or is it just me? I'm thinking of buying this particular set-up but it sounds a bit less clean than expected :\
Hey did u buy this one how was this noise?
hello sir i have boya by wm8 i want ask you how i can connect this with android phone i need to connect android phone
Hi there guys, it would be an even more scientific test if you could compare straight out of camera, unedited audio VS what you achieved after editing. Most people who are looking to buy these stuff on budget are newbies and they like myself might not have an expertise/experience on editing audio and if they buy and get completely different quality of audio, they get pissed off.
Will this work with mobile phone ? and do you know if the wm6 works with mobile phone ?
It was your review made me buy these mics well done thanx guys👍👍👍
Awesome! Glad you found it useful!
i use this boya setup. but i have problem with unstable signal even the batery is fully charged. can you help me.. thanks

Hi gents. I found your video very good and helpful. I have an issue and wonder if I've missed something. I purchased my Boya BY-WM8 Pro-K2 set recently and have set it up as stereo. Here is my dilemma. Setting it up as stereo, I wanted to be able to monitor both of the inputs seperately from two different talents. Therefore, if they speak at the same time, I can seperate them in post. Here is my problem; after setting up my system, I plug my headphones into the receiver and sure enough each transmitter I hear from the left or right channel. However, as soon as I plug in the XLR output cable into the receivers line out, I now hear one channel going through the left and right. Also, when I plug in the 3.5mm mini plug cable instead (with my headphones still plugged into the receiver), I can hear the left and right seperately. But, when I then plug the other end of the mini plug into a mixer, camera or device, either laveller mikes now go through the left and right channels. i.e. mono. Am I doing something wrong? I really need the channels going through the left and right seperately. Hope you can help.
Regards
George

I'm thinking about the exact same thing. It's a shame that there's no answer to this.
Great video, very helpful, cheers guys!
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful
great micro's for the price. If your on a budget this is a no brainer. Battery life is great and sound is good. Maybe in post you can do some eq, but in fact it's quit good straight
Can you do a video with the Zoom H6 recorder along with these mics?
Heya, what kind of post production did you use for the sound? I am considering buying these, but have heard other tests which don't sound too good. It would be awesome to know if you put them through EQ/Compression etc
Hey there, yes they did need a bit of post production, we achieved what we needed to with a multiband compressor.
were this connected directly to the camera? There's a little hiss which I'd like to know if it is due to the camera or the Boya.
Hey, yes the wireless receiver was plugged in directly to the camera here, which for this video was the Sony a6300
Whats the best level configuration ? 28 for all ?
Awesome review! Thank you guys. I'll buy this one :)))
Great stuff, thanks! Glad it helped!
Question?
Since the body packs go back to one receiver are you still able to break up audio under two different tracks? So you can adjust levels later in post, in the event someone is higher or lower than the other.
+ANGEL RAMIREZ In that scenario it records one mic to the left channel and one to the right. In post, we took each individual channel and created a “stereo” version of each one and worked with them independently that way
Totally Exposed since it’s converted from mono to stereo is the quality the same?
How do you connect 2 wireless transmitter audio from the receiver in to the Zoom H4n in to 2 seperate channels
The output is stereo so you'd need a splitter cable of some kind to split the output back down to 2 channels
Good explanation .....I like your review ....you review has covered all my doubts.
Keep it up
Thanks for clearing my doubts.
Mannu bhardwaj
Thanks for your comment!
Totally Exposed one more thing bro is it good to purchased please tell me .being as a reviewer can you recommend me ...i am asking about boya wm8
Very nice, I think I'll be ordering this now. Got a like.
Hey, apparently there are 2 versions. One is "Advance", what colour were the open clips on the suit case thingy on yours? I see one is yellow and one is red when looking around for them.

Battery Life? After You Use.
is it possible to record to 2 different channels? i have zoom H6 sound recorder and the boya wm8
Yes it is. You can record in stereo and then split the channels out in, for example, Premier Pro. This means you can then use the mixer to balance the channels and pan.
How about battery life ?
So nice color corection^)
Hey guys, I'll throw you a sub... I'm interested in this setup, particularly so with some sort of other microphone/recorder. I want to mount each transmitter into the front/rear of a vehicle and record the engine/exhaust sounds and dub them onto my camera setup. Action cameras don't lend themselves to having good mics, particularly in the wind. So any wind testing(on a car would be sweet) or alternative microphone testing would be appreciated :)
how do you use it on the notebook?

Can the microphone commute with each other like a talkie other than a audio recorder?Since it's recording and sending audio data wave too
what a stupid question
NO!
can the trafficlight commute with your toaster, since it is both using electricity?
Licensing?
Thank you.. good info 👍👍👍
Great microphone for those low budget films and interviews. I do love the sound for the price. 5 times cheaper than sony or senheiser.
cant you plug it on a cellphone?
Nice video,
Which filter are you using for your visuals?
Thanks! We're using James Miller's "DeLuts" SLOG-2 pack
I've the BOYA BY-WM8 Pro-K2. Of course this is a very good and useful. Excellent quality, but I've a problem. when ever i shoot a video, it also record noise. Although i have seen the same mic when using different youtubers, their voice is clear and no extra noise is heard. Please tell me the authentic setting. where no extra voice noise record. please also make a video on it. in video you should explain a complete setting and how to eliminate extra noise. Anyway, I've a youtube channel based on current affairs, and i'm also a video journalist. please help me . Thanks
Low your gain and clear up noise in editing
Good test.great vedio.
Strange - Why is there a "room" effect on the outdoor recording?😲
Hi I recently got a Boya WM8 but the audio on your video sounds so much better. Can you tell me what programme you used and what are the things you adjusted to get this result? Keep up the great reviews~ :)
Hey! Thanks for the kind words! We edited the video and the audio in Adobe Premiere Pro. We used a variety of audio effects to help improve the quality of the audio, including the Muliband Compressor, Mastering, Graphic EQ and more. If it would help, we could perhaps do a video showing how we process our audio tracks?
Great idea! That will be an awesome review to do. Im sure others would very much appreciate it, showing how audios from a mic like this can be edited :)

I would very much like to see this, please! I've been using Denoise and EQ and I'm getting quite nice sound, but I'd love to know if I can get even better.
We mainly used Adobe Premier Pro to edit the audio, and have got plans for more tutorials/reviews on editing software in the pipeline, so stay tuned!
nice review very well done
Thanks very much!

To be honest, all the other expensive names are just at the top because they got here first. I do not see any difference between this mic and a Sennheiser mic.
yes, and the rocket for newyear could easy got to the MARS...the NASA just got first to the moon
That's so helpful guys I looked at 1 today but didn't buy it as I wanted to get your take on it after watching this I will go back to shop tomorrow and get 1 Thanks so much And I love the bit where you said sweating my tits off it really made me laugh great stuff.
Big thumbs up from your supporters in Thailand Dave👨🏻🔧 Tan👩🏽🍳👍🙏♥️
would this mic be good for hidden camera pranks?
well... The audio quality is kind of shit for the price. So... No.
"Audio quality" is not just if the signal gets home to the receiver.
I subscribed because of the line, "Sweat my tits off!"
Quality 😂
Just had a boya dual set. Sent it back, useless shit. A bluetooth 10m mobil sender, 10 time less the price all ready did better then boya ever did. Do not buy this unless ur sitting down, in front of cam, max 5meter with sender and receiver on desk in front of you, but dont. If i had a bad model, maby, still, i never buy a boya produkt again, thats 100%
130m sound better than 100m
