You guys make me smile! To the person who said they are never satisfied, they are the opposite. They are always satisfied. They live life to the fullest. Not afraid to try new things and explore new place. Its a beautiful thing!!
Mike becoming a pilot was not on my bingo card, but I’m also not surprised after following you for a long time. When you said ‘pilot’, I immediately thought that Mike would be a very good pilot. Perfect temperament. It’s a very exciting time for you. Enjoy.
Super inspiring Mike. I love that you are realizing a lifelong dream. Your love and encouragement for each other is a wonderful thing to behold. Yes. Please continue vlogging. I've been watching your channel for so many years that it would be strange not to be able to see what y'all are up to next. ❤
So happy for you, you both look years younger and so relaxed and happy. Don't mean you weren't before but it's obvious you are exactly where you should be and what you should be doing for your selves and your family. Living your best life. It's great some people are.
Please look into the physical/health requirements needed to become a commercial pilot according to the FAA. This is a very expensive road and if you cannot pass a first class medical (which you have to get done every 6 months) and EKG (any one over 40, done once a year) and keep it your full flying career (until age 65) you will not have a job flying. Recommendation from a pilot wife-take the first class medical now before you start down this path. Many blessings to you and the family on your next adventure in life.
Woohoo! life is always an adventure! Two days after I turned 61 I graduated with a degree in secondary education. You are never too old to try new things or fulfilling dreams. Happiness is the goal! Good luck on your new adventure! And yes, absolutely, positively we are guided to our happiness, if we listen.
I love this for you all. At 47, I changed careers. I was a healthcare financial analyst, quit my job, and returned to school to study interior design, which was what I always, from high school on, wanted to do. It was hard & challenging but with the support of my son & wonderful husband, I made it. I started my own firm, worked every facet of the business, made mistakes and learned from them, joined my professional organization and became president of the local city chapter, and made so many new friends. Now at almost 72, I can’t believe how fast the years passed & I am so thankful that I spent those years doing something I love and still continue to do even if it is now on my own semi-retired timeline. God and family have been so good to me and I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to achieve my dream. I can’t wait to see where your dreams take you!
You both are beaming and smiling so much now! Excited for this new adventure you're taking us on. It wouldn't be Knorpp and South without a major pivot! Mike you're inspiring us 40-somethings to go for the dream that you nearly forgot was a goal once upon a time.
I started watching y’all in 2017 when you were RVing & it’s only been 7yrs & you guys have packed more into those 7yrs than I will in probably a lifetime. Don’t worry about the judgements. You love the Lord, love your children, love each other, pay your bills & don’t need handouts. It’s a pretty great life. Keep doing what makes you happy ❤ I’m super excited to watch it all.
As someone who has that nomadic spirit myself, these changes make total sense. I’m someone who loves changes, exploring, and going to new places. I went back to school and became a travel nurse after being a teacher for a while so my job would allow me to travel. I lived in an Rv for a bit and did short rentals as I moved from place to place every 3 months. I love that you are so nomadic while having kids! Not only does it help them with learning adjusting to change at a young age but they can see that mom and dad aren’t afraid to go after their dreams. You both are blessed to have partners who have the same nomadic spirit. Can’t wait to see all the adventures you guys get up to in the future
I have been following y’all for a long time. My husband walked in while I was watching the video and said, “I’d watch his pilot videos!” I say go for it and we will watch.
So very happy for you Mike I actually got teary-eyed watching you drive to your first lesson! I always think that when God has a plan for you things fall into place very quickly. Bless you all.
My son trained for a pilot and achieved his instrument training certificate right before the pandemic. It was about $30,000. He was devastated and couldn't see the way forward. The love is still there. I'm thinking to give him a little push after watching this video, so thanks.
Knorppe and South on the move again! Love your spontaneity and adventurous spirits- you are giving the “gift of a life WELL lived” to your children! BRAVO TO YOU BOTH FOR BEING YOU🎉 LOVE YOUR CHANNEL SO MUCH
There is absolutely nothing wrong with a new career path at 45. I started nursing school around that time and next year I celebrate 9 years as an RN ❤ Best career change ever! Good luck and I will certainly continue watching your progress Mike and all the adventures!
Enjoy yourselves, traveling, experiencing new things. Open-mindedness is a God-given gift and you are teaching this to your children. Follow your dreams. ~Terri
I have never seen Mike smile so much in all these years. He is in his "realm" of his dream, and I think it is a fantastic fit. If not now when? That is how I look at things at my age........live some of those dreams and maybe they were always meant to be more than dreams but just had to be the right time in life! It appears that time for you is now! I'm thrilled for you and can't wait to see what transpires! Live your dreams now, as tomorrow is so unsure! Blessings and..................... go for it!!!!!
Having followed your ventures and experiences for four years I am very, very, very proud of you both for this decision your life. You put it out there and once again you did it… I so admire your adventures of spirit… God bless you both and your entire family. Brad Onorato & family, Napa Valley, CA
Sooo exciting!!!! Congratulations. I think Mike should just add a separate series to this same channel for his flying. Nothing crazy but love following all your “big ideas”. We are exactly the same way making beautiful memories through new experiences. So excited for yall and that you are vulnerable enough to share!
Mike has the perfect personality for a pilot! I’ve been watching a really long time, started as you were getting ready to move into the RV the first time, and I don’t remember Mike ever loosing his temper or getting really worked up and stressed. So calm and even tempered! ❤️❤️
This is so exciting! Would love to follow your journey, Mike! I love how you as a family are always learning and evolving. To me that’s the truest definition of living life to the fullest! YOLO!
It seems in every relationship, one person talks more than the other. Unfortunately, some criticize the one who talks more, and the one who doesn't talk as much.
That's so exciting! Congratulations on all you have done and your new plans. Thanks for filling us in! I am glad you have continued to figure out the plans for your family. You've got this. I am so happy to know what's going on.
This is how my husband and I are. We’ve moved 12 times in 12 years. RV’d for three years and now we have a beautiful rental near our land where we want to build. I’m so excited for you all!
What a beautiful epiphany you've had. I'm really happy for you, Mike. I hope you are so proud of yourself. My husband and I live exactly the same way as you two with our 4 kids. We take chances and talk as a family before we make any choices. We moved across country 4 years ago and are looking at moving to Hawaii at the end of the year. We are nomadic and are happy together no matter where we are. We all just follow our hearts and let our kids think the same way-- outside of the box. I also want to offer my support to you for making the right call with your parents. I think it's wonderful that you considered both their needs and yours. Ignore any negative comments. I'm so glad to see you all back in the RV!:-)
I somehow became a ‘steady eddy’ and have lived in the same house for 27 years. I thoroughly enjoy living vicariously through the Knorp family. You’re always inspiring, fascinating and interesting. Looking forward to many more vlogs of whatever you decide to do.
there might be a lot lot lots of people who would love to live your life and your dreams, at the end its a matter of money. Your courage is incredible!!, chapeau
Megan can I say with your hair down you are looking younger. So happiness in what you are doing obviously plays a part. Congratulations Mike you are both inspirational and I feel I may some decisions around what I would like to do next.
I can understand wanting to fly. I got my license when i was 18. I'm now 47 and would love to fly again as a hobby, but I can't imagine wanting an airline job. Long hours away from family would be too hard. However, im glad some people are willing! I'm a woman, by the way, and I'm sure there are plenty of other woman out there who are interested in flying as well!
WOW - I just love how you keep changing things up! So happy for Mike to be pursuing a lifelong dream and no doubt he will be an awesome pilot someday soon! ♥
We love watching your adventures! My husband and I have moved total of 13 times. And we know there’s more in the future…. We both retired and started a new business and we are in our 60’s. Yes, God does love to give us the desires of our heart. ❤
Yay! For you and your family, I love watching your RUclips adventures! And I have enjoyed being able to go everywhere with you! Thank you for sharing your life with me! I live in Utah and actually met Daniel at Chic-fil-A when he worked there. He was polite and so nice to visit with! I am LDS too and I love how you have found our Church family wherever you have lived! You have truly been blessed and guided! I look forward to following you all on your new adventures! Thank you again for sharing with me your life! 🤗
I'm happy for you guys! I have to admit I really miss watching Meghan cook, refinish furniture, and thrift store shopping. I'm looking forward to your many videos regardless of what you are doing. Thank you for sharing your lives !
HOW EXCITING!!! Mike will make an amazing Pilot and it's never too late to change careers! I became a Registered Nurse at 44 and love the choice I made! I think a flying channel would be so interesting!
So very happy for Mike you have worked so hard building your previous home, and so deserving of attaining your dream becoming a pilot!! Blessings to you all.❤
It floored me when you said you were traveling in the RV back in 2016… I thought that can’t be right… it was just yesterday when you bought and renovated it… and your travels to Europe and Northern Africa was just a few years ago. Where did the time go?!? I’m happy you found a new spark. It is never too late to follow your dreams! Looking forward to the new adventures.
I LOVE your explanation about the chapters in your life and not fearing what the next chapter will be. It very well could be nothing you ever expected. But the plan is just to move ahead in love and trust.
My husbands dream is to be a landlord, I know that sounds odd, but his family had to deal with a lot of unscrupulous landlords as he was growing up, and any time they had a good one it stuck out to him. He wants to be someone who keeps nice homes at fair prices and doesn’t let the bottom line dictate people’s lives. He realized this in 2016 and we are still working on it, but I am so glad he was able to really think about what he wants from life- previously he thought he didn’t have choices and was stuck in life.
I came for the month of pies but I stayed for the family. Mike the handyman, plumber, carpenter, painter now becomes a pilot! I need a Mike for myself! 💋🧚🏻♀️❤️🇺🇸
I would absolutely trust Mike. Calm under pressure, acute attention to detail. Perfect fit.
You guys make me smile! To the person who said they are never satisfied, they are the opposite. They are always satisfied. They live life to the fullest. Not afraid to try new things and explore new place. Its a beautiful thing!!
He will be an excellent pilot. He has the right personality. He cares about details and likes learning.
Mike becoming a pilot was not on my bingo card, but I’m also not surprised after following you for a long time. When you said ‘pilot’, I immediately thought that Mike would be a very good pilot. Perfect temperament. It’s a very exciting time for you. Enjoy.

I've been watching your channel for so many years that it would be strange not to be able to see what y'all are up to next. ❤
I went back to school at 47 to become a special ed teacher and started teaching full time when I was 49. Good for you for following your dreams!
So happy for you, you both look years younger and so relaxed and happy. Don't mean you weren't before but it's obvious you are exactly where you should be and what you should be doing for your selves and your family. Living your best life. It's great some people are.
I would 100% trust Mike as a pilot. Perfect mind & temperment for the job!
I am a 55 yr old woman and I would watch Mikes blog. I am so happy for you all.
Mike, when I first saw your face you looked so much younger and like you were enjoying life! I could never have imagined why! Congratulations!🎉
Please look into the physical/health requirements needed to become a commercial pilot according to the FAA. Many blessings to you and the family on your next adventure in life.
That’s a good point to think about 🫶🏻
Yep. I know an older gentleman who did not pass after getting the required C-19 vaccination.
Woohoo! life is always an adventure! Two days after I turned 61 I graduated with a degree in secondary education. You are never too old to try new things or fulfilling dreams. Happiness is the goal! What an amazing way to Feed the SOUL of a Marriage.....Mike is beaming!!
You both are beaming and smiling so much now! Excited for this new adventure you're taking us on. It wouldn't be Knorpp and South without a major pivot! Mike you're inspiring us 40-somethings to go for the dream that you nearly forgot was a goal once upon a time.
Mike, I am a 66yr old woman & I would totally watch your learning to fly channel! Lol
I’m also 66 and would watch his new channel in a heartbeat!
Congratulations Mike! It is inspiring to see people follow their dreams ✨
I love the joy on Mike's face. God is good! Love watching whatever you two present.
Good for you guys! It’s never too late to learn something you have always wanted to learn.
Mike will quickly master this skill. He has the perfect temperment for a pilot. One more safe and trustworthy person piloting is a plus for all!

Never a dull moment with the Knorps! I think a lot of people would be interested in your change of career in your 40's. It is beautiful where you are!
I have been following y’all for a long time. My husband walked in while I was watching the video and said, “I’d watch his pilot videos!” I say go for it and we will watch.

Me too! It was a beautiful video.
So glad to hear that - I did too but wasn’t sure how to say it👍
My son trained for a pilot and achieved his instrument training certificate right before the pandemic. It was about $30,000. He was devastated and couldn't see the way forward. The love is still there. I'm thinking to give him a little push after watching this video, so thanks.

I admire your free-spiritedness. I wish I had some of that back.

I love it when Mike was able to talk.
It seems in every relationship, one person talks more than the other. Unfortunately, some criticize the one who talks more, and the one who doesn't talk as much.
They've made whole videos about how Mike loves that she leads in conversation and he doesn't appreciate comments that infer negatively about her.
It looked like he was really eager to talk to tell us about it.
@@sallyoverton5341 If Mike wanted to say something, he would have.
@@tamaraliscia3408 ..Mike occasionally is able to start a thought but rarely gets to finish it!🤷🏼♀️

Well I give up. Y’all wear me out. Was so excited to see the new house and what you would do with it. Now I’m dizzy
This is how my husband and I are. We’ve moved 12 times in 12 years. RV’d for three years and now we have a beautiful rental near our land where we want to build. I’m so excited for you all!
Gosh Mike’s face is pure joy and your enthusiasm Megan. I love that we never know what’s next! How exciting!
Love following you. I have been with you since before you traveled all over the world with the kids.
I love your adventures. Keep soaring! You always put a smile on this ol' lady's face. I look forward to your videos.

So very happy for Mike you have worked so hard building your previous home, and so deserving of attaining your dream becoming a pilot!! Blessings to you all.❤

I LOVE your explanation about the chapters in your life and not fearing what the next chapter will be. It very well could be nothing you ever expected. But the plan is just to move ahead in love and trust.
I am so happy for you Mike your family is amazing
My husbands dream is to be a landlord, I know that sounds odd, but his family had to deal with a lot of unscrupulous landlords as he was growing up, and any time they had a good one it stuck out to him. He wants to be someone who keeps nice homes at fair prices and doesn’t let the bottom line dictate people’s lives. I came for the month of pies but I stayed for the family. Mike the handyman, plumber, carpenter, painter now becomes a pilot! I need a Mike for myself! 💋🧚🏻♀️❤️🇺🇸
Same, I came for a month of pies and still here too!
Me too!

I’m literally going to comment first, then watch it. I’m excited to know whatever you didn’t know it would be amazing.
As a long-time follower, I've never been LESS surprised by this news! Congratulations Mike!
ok...I'll go along with this weeks plan! I'm sure it will change next week.
Mike has a great demeanor for a pilot. This is like reverse retirement.
Wow Mike. Fantastic ❤
