My Mom did the same, granted this song wasn't made yet I don't think. I was nursed on classics like anything from Nursery rhymes to Metallica, The Cure, Pink Floyd, Pop, Classical music- because I liked it(she doesn't really care for it) but she wanted to know what kinds I loved growing up.
Now I love all but (most) hardcore street rap & death metal. Some have amazing beats or lyrics- but most of the time I think it's because I can't understand and too many words smoosh together.
