There should be more international collaborations like this with American/Western artists and foreign artists. I volunteer SNSD performing live with Duffy as a great suggestion!
Ami-Go (Ami Suzuki's nickname) has a very nice voice! I really loved this Aly & AJ song! They tried hard just to speak a bit of Japanese, and Ami with English! The song rocks so much! I hope Ami's next album is a success!
A lot of people are saying in the comments that they're lip syncing, but what it sounds like to me is that the video's audio track was overlapped with the studio recording. Why anyone would do that is beyond me. Wish they'd leave it alone.
actually, if you listen to the high quality version of this song, you can here them. their mics are on, but the back up track is just over powering them. that's how about 3/4 of singers who really sing perform. so they can sing as much as they can on their own, but if the lose stamina, the back up track covers them.
GO SYKICK! Finally someone who sticks up for the original Ami. So cool! I loved this video! Thanks for posting it, I enjoyed myself for that 2:48 seconds of this horrible day. Thanks for making my day!
I will admit they lip sync in the beginning, but @ 1:50 they blew me away. That's incredibly hard to do. If you don't actually know the language, to sing in it is SO hard. They've earned a new respect
I don't think they are lip-syncing. Go read up on them and know they are not singing off the lyrics and composed music of some composers. They create their own music as well as lyrics. I think with that moral behind them, they won't want to lip sync.
wow now i know i've watched a ridiculous amount of anime cuz i understood like almost everything she said at the start.... yay i still like this song ; one of the few disney acts with actual musical talent yay!
yeah, it did sound like they were lip syncing... coz there was one part where aj was singing, and aly wasn't,(00:45) yet there was still a harmony going on. or maybe she was singing along.
dude.its playback.just that the playback was esp loud in dis vid, thus it covers their live singing, check their other vids, there is playback but u can still hear their live voices
they usually only lip sync when they have bigger concert to do , so they have to save their voices , and in japan they always have concerts like this when theres no audience there but viewers from the tv
You guys also have to realize. How long did they have to rehearse this? I've seen Ami Suzuki live she certainly does sing with little backing vocal if any.
Not to be rude or anything, but I think singing in Japanese is easy. I don't know Japanese, and I sing it on a daily basis. I started singing Japanese as an 9 year old girl, and now I am 13 and I sing Japanese, Korean, and I am starting to learn how to sing in French. I just don't get how people say it's hard ._.
sounds like one of them is actually singing and the other is lip-syncing, anyway aly and aj are just cool in my eyes to be with ami suzuki haha, go check her out she's an awesome jpop singer
i mean... languages are way easier to pick up when you're younger, especially if you've been practising. they likely haven't done anything japanese until this song.

you tried that.
compaq255 ???
you tried.
I think Asian artist should collab with other Asian artists. Enough of the western worshipping in Asia!
omg the "aishou kaishou" part has been stuck in my head for ages. i think the japanese version is absolutely addictive!
I'd love to see more collabs like this ^_^
@@HikazePrincess omg blast from the past, this comment is 15 years old xD

Remember when people sing on TV the producers usually layer the track for showtime. They always sing live.
No this is not live. It's prerecorded with the girls lip-syncing. (I've heard Aly&AJ's live voices in concert, and the vocals are not good.)

I really like this combination. Great song.
They should form an international group called Triple A!
I love it. Its is a good mixer of Japanese and the original.
Amazing it's really good even though I can't understand it they are all good singers!
I like it!! I love the combination of the two beautiful language.
OMG this collabo it's awesome, u go girls!!! this version kicks ass!!!! LOVE IT!!!!
鈴木亜美可愛い💿🎶💘こういう格好似合う🎧💝

They've earned a new respect
This was awesome! I wonder if it's on iTunes. This was a cool collaboration. I nearly backflipped when Aly & AJ sang in Japanese. It was really good!!
they werent lip syncing because you could here that aly's vocals were a little flat behind the audio.
I don't think they are lip-syncing. Go read up on them and know they are not singing off the lyrics and composed music of some composers. They create their own music as well as lyrics. I think with that moral behind them, they won't want to lip sync.
That was surprisingly good!
They ARE performing live. They're singing over a track, but their voices are definitely there.
They are singing along with the vocal track. It's just the vocal track is louder than them so you can't hear them that well over it!
They rock!!
Weird that you can here the live singing AND the lipsinging verision...
They rule! ♥
The Japanese version is amazing compared to the just OK US version. It improved on it.
I like the both versions of the song [2]
They're not lip-syncing but they do have a lot of playback in the background so you can't really hear them singing.
wow now i know i've watched a ridiculous amount of anime cuz i understood like almost everything she said at the start.... yay i still like this song ; one of the few disney acts with actual musical talent yay!

that's so cool
Wish they let them sing live >< Anyways, this is such a great collab!!
great stuff
Can hear them just fine.
Amazing~
that was a pretty rad mix!
i wish they could come here in the philippines..
These comments are a mess 🥴
好き
cool. Aly and A.J. know a little japanese.
erm.check their recent live performances.they v cut out the playback now
dude.its playback.just that the playback was esp loud in dis vid, thus it covers their live singing, check their other vids, there is playback but u can still hear their live voices
I love Japanese
In the last time they sing the chorus on their cd version, they say make up. It's in there, you just have to listen.
man i use to live in Japan its awesome
they know japanese O.O I LOVE THEM EVEN MORE
oh ok thx for telling me :)
No, Aly & Aj were the original singers but Ami Suzuki covered it after that.
I dont think they were lip syncing, cuz if u listen closely they actually are singing, the mics should've be louder >>
most live shows in Japan require a backing track
いいなぁ
8D So cute! Triple A!
Er no, they go off-key in some parts, which should be a clear indication that they're NOT lip-syncing.
yeah thats right
Aly is 5'9½", AJ is 5'6" and Ami is 5'2". That's why Ami looks so small and cute :)
yes
cool
Honestly you never know if the people there preferred them to not sing live ... so you can't say it was their choice.
they usually only lip sync when they have bigger concert to do , so they have to save their voices , and in japan they always have concerts like this when theres no audience there but viewers from the tv
wow American + Japanese so cool never though about is really nice though
Aly and Aj originally sung it and Ami Suzuki Covered it
=) that was kool
o i thought you could understand the first part because you can speak germany. thank you for clarifying that for me.
ami is the shit i love her!!!!!!
i think the beginning is maybe playback but not the japanese part ^^
what does aijou kajou shinjou ijou mean???
Who originally sung this song Aly and Aj or Ami Suzuki
Aly and Sj singing in Japanesse?
You guys also have to realize. How long did they have to rehearse this? I've seen Ami Suzuki live she certainly does sing with little backing vocal if any.
@flefno how was it bad?
i LUV aly and aj! they are the best but the japanese girl was alright...a lil pitchy but amazing!
Not to be rude or anything, but I think singing in Japanese is easy. I don't know Japanese, and I sing it on a daily basis. well aren't you special....
ZeldaWithAShotgun well aren’t you special...
but are you good? probably not as much as you think
until the last few seconds
lipsync yes, but AJ and Aly's nihongo is hetakuso.
lol. how is aly and aj's japanese? I never knew they sung some japanese. it's pretty cool.
Excuse me~ : )
The voice is the scene ?
mss waren de eerst paar sec gemonteerd aan het live liedje:)
That Isn't live is it???
HAHAHA I lovethe japanesse freakin funny
lol, awesome, they sing japanese at the end.. and it becomes the potential makeup song.
why are the subtitles in english when aly and aj are singing?
sounds like one of them is actually singing and the other is lip-syncing, anyway aly and aj are just cool in my eyes to be with ami suzuki haha, go check her out she's an awesome jpop singer
yapan version is lomp !!
I think Aly & Aj were lipsyncing but not Ami
kawaii:)
oké dit is NIET live :s
also, al and aj USUALLY sing live. i'm guessing because thier voices are purposefully computerized in this song.
sound like the one in the dress is singing and the one with the pants is lip singing
well,2 the people who are confused about the breakup/makeup... if you would just lissen to the lyrics then you would understand it.
It's not live :/
maybe Ami was only sang louder cuz the girls' pronunciation wernt the best?? i dunno
AJ is hott !
Wow they were lip syncing badly :(
+Emmanuel Wilson Its a Japanese TV thing
I dont think it was lipsinging cause i could hear tht japanese girl off at parts lol
i mean... languages are way easier to pick up when you're younger, especially if you've been practising. they likely haven't done anything japanese until this song.
ALY & AJ BETTER..but i love all in this video xD
The Japanese version is SO SO SO much better.
LAWL, Ami wasn't lip sincing and she did a better job. By far. xDDD
i think.. just hold it the american version..
both versions sound cool but together is odd
It's a shame they put the song that loud, they can actually sing really well live!
