Town of Salem 2 has different factions in it.
The Coven: The Dreamweaver, Enchanter, Illusionist, Medusa, Conjuror, Jinx, Ritualist, Coven Leader, Hex Master, Witch, Necromancer, Poisoner, Potion Master, Voodoo Master and Wildling
The Town: Coroner, Investigator, Lookout, Psychic, Seer, Sheriff, Spy, Tracker, Deputy, Trickster, Veteran, Vigilante, Jailor, Mayor, Monarch, Prosecutor, Bodyguard, Cleric, Crusader, Trapper, Admirer and Amnesiac
The Neutral Apocalypse: Baker, Famine, Berserker, War, Plaguebearer, Pestilence, Soul Collector and Death
Neutral Evil: Executioner, Jester, Doomsayer, Pirate
Neutral Killing: Arsonist, Serial Killer, Shroud and Werewolf

2nd game be like the spiderman meme pointing at each other about everyone being immune. Double Doom, Baker and SC, 4 town with the saddest retri you could imagine and that SK just couldn't find a stabbable victim at all. PIrate who won about to get stabbed: 'Ight, Imma head out.
Lol yeah no wonder that Ret was useless with only 4 town and some roles they can’t even use. Seriously needs to be 7 town minimum.

I always love the fairy avatar with the pin sword and button shield. Plus how sad she looks and the fact they actually tie her wings up when she’s on trial

Regular towny skin puppy eyes on trial makes me feel bad for him.
there are SO many tiny details on the characters that i love. the idles, the way they all have different reactions to getting put on trial. little details like the fairy getting her wings tied up and bird guy getting his bird taken away and the way the snakes go limp on the medusa lady when she hangs. these dudes have literal microexpressions with twitching eyebrows and shifty eyes that are different for every one of them. its nice to see that the art team clearly cares about these characters even though they didnt have to. all the animations and design choices are just BRIMMING with personality that was clearly thought through. MASSIVE step up from the first game where all the 'characters' just felt like skins.

You could try to socially affect the outcome of the selection both you and your target make, as well as affect the larger game!
Would be hella fun!

@@rioghander2te that's assuming they decide to be honest/lie to the pirate, and the pirate accepts/rejects their terms. Each game will be very different depending on the players involved. It could cause interesting scenarios to play out. And it makes sense "lore-wise" since it is a duel and both players are active in it.
Pirate currently feels like a single-player RNG role that fades quickly. But I feel if they could talk to their target during the night, it could bring the pirate back into the actual multiplayer space again.
@@rioghander2te Pirate is a true neutral role, evils could make hidden alliances with him so they may or may not reveal their allegiance.
They could make it like medium seance and give it a different color or block communication like jail. It wouldn't be something entirely new.
@@adisca2kexactly! Nothing new is really added aside from the Pirate and their target being able to communicate. But that alone adds so much potential fun to Pirate, similar to Jester!

Bruh, 3 the PM hard carried the coven. He's the only one who visits at night and lynches the evils for the town!
For the most part, winning as Pirate is pure luck. If you manually try to decide which of the options to pick, you end up mind gaming yourself and falling into a pattern that the other factions can exploit. Using an RNG is the way to go as Pirate to avoid this.
My favorite part of the video is when Pipe goes “It’s weavin time!” and the weaves all over the place

DreamWeaver needs a buff where DreamWeaving the same townie removes the DreamWeave from that townie but instead DreamWeaves every single townie who visited that target so visitors risk getting DreamWeaved or letting their townie go insane

Dreamweaver feels like they can do a lot and I feel like eventually the meta is going to shift regarding them. They combo well with a lot of the other coven roles like poisoner, jinx, witch, and voodoo. Voodoo and jinx is obvious but poisoner and witch can stop someone from visiting to save the person. It also turns someone into a magnet for werewolves, wastes the ti's time with unnecessary visits while directing shrouded players away from coven. Getting dreamwoven can pressure tpows and deputies into revealing early or taking bad shots to avoid losing their ability altogether and it's a tool coven can use to find other evils that might be hiding out there since they will be immune to it. If it does go off due to miscommunication it immediately makes every TI and TP in the game look suspicious as well. The insane status is pretty powerful when you do manage it and it can swing the vote harder than just killing or silencing someone. Unlike silencing where the person doesn't vote, or killing someone which reduces the votes needed to get someone up by 0.5, an insane person votes randomly often giving coven one more vote to mislynch with.

If that is still a thing then you could witch to hide the dw message.
Btw, when insane you can still vote to up normally, you just guilty/inno at random. So in a 3v2 the coven could be upped but it would be a 50/50 3 times if he gets lynched or not.

This game was so weird. I was the SK tried to attack 12 n1 who was Aros, then attacked you n2.
With Baker, SC and double doom, way too many people had defense.

In game one when 15 got pushed why not vote it up as u are coven and its an easy way to get someone out just innk when on stand if you think exe or jest if someone can explain why please do as I am trying to learn how to get better at this game

Thank you piptern, for hiding from other players with the Dreamweaver role in Town of Salem 2. My favorite part of this video is when you said "it's doin nothing time" and did absolutely nothing the entire game.
Always puts a smile on my face when I watch a Pipe video and I see "I claim not vigilante" on D1 chat. Means some Ada shenanigans are going down, and those are the best shenanigans.

7:54 LMAO omg I was getting Deja vu from this game but YT didn't say I watched this vid before, so was wondering why it all felt so familiar. then the instant 14 said "i cc pirate" the memories of watching this on Goat's twitch stream came back xD. 14 read whispers and thought pirate already claimed, and because 3 told them to cc pirate they cc'd immediately which was the funniest thing to watch
At 21:25, isn't that obviously fake silence? Real silence is blue. How do people not just autolynch these people who are super obvious with their fake silences?
Two ideas for dreamweaver strategies:
1) don't dreamweave until n3 when town might not believe the victim and might let them go insane
2) dreamweave n1. N2, don't dreamweave, but get an ally to claim dreamwoven, therefore 'confirming' they aren't coven

Seriously that second game? 4 town? 4 Coven? What the hell rng. Absolutely needs to be a bare minimum of 7. Otherwise town has no chance.
I don't like Dreamweaver if it's best used by not using your power (without a specific combo). Feels like a waste of an evil role...
i feel like a good dream weaver buff could be like a suped up witch with more set up or something where if u do drive someone insane u get to use their power on anyone but maybe it takes 2 days to work so dreamweave + voodoo isnt so op.
it for sure needs a buff but honestly imo just a full rework the problem with abilitys like that where the town can call it out is that theres no *real* way to hide ur coven from the town and ur kinda unintentionally outing ur team by using ur power. so maybe give it alot more reward for doing so rather than just giving it slight buffs or something

I think no death animation cause Doom was prolly considered dead due to the fact not enough sacrifices
Just my opinion, but if the best move for a role is to not use their ability, then maybe it needs some rethinking

- this was filmed within the last few days. source: was in round 2
- chat settings are in settings menu and previewable
- premades of more than a few friends tend to have the same names in (mimyuu, adagia, etc). pip tends to announce premades, but if you see pip playing as Thiem it's almost a guarantee.

One of my favorite games of tos 2 of all time was an all any game where an exe got lynched who was the target of another exe who then tormented ANOTHER exe
My dreamweaver fix would be to simply check whenever you roll dreamweaver if there is a voodoo on the team, if not change the dreamweaver to a voodoo
I expected a 1-2 of DW and wildling to be useful to sniff out townies (to identify neutrals).
Day 28 of asking Pipe to play Lovers mode in Tos 1 till he gets the rare Pestilence message.

I feel like an interesting thing for Pirate to be able to do if you win is aim your cannons and deal an unstoppable attack to whomever you choose, you have to wait a day to reaload and every kill you get +5 Town Points.
I was thinking something similar but instead of them picking 1 person, the town is barraged by cannon fire the second day after pirate leaves which deals an unstoppable attack to 2 random people.
hell no this change was done to avoid kingmakers and now you advocate for an emperor-synthesiser at this point
Pipe, I never noticed this till i watched this video, what is the "space" at the top of the pirate screen? Maybe that closes the menu? I'll try it next game.

I feel like Mimyuu’s survival rate in these lobbies is pretty decent.
I would love for the Dreamweaver’s effect to not take a day to go insane.
I don’t know how strong it would be,but right now it feels like a Tpow will use their ability before they go insane and confirm themselves in the process.
Making the Voodo&Dreamweaver combo a little bit stronger.
Some QOL changes I would love to see is being able to pass the book and choose if you want to apply the book’s effect to your night ability.
That would be op, all of town would be insane, and the Voodoo + Dreamweaver combo wouldn’t exist because the point of the combo is to make the 1 day wait for insanity not matter. For that to work there would have to be a 2 dreamweave limit or a nerf to insanity (like it lasts one night and doesn’t affect voting)
The book passing idea might work, but requires good communication as to not pass the book to someone and have them not realize so no one dies.
@@kitsicles111 I’m just looking at the Voodoo&Dreamweaver combo to completely shutdown a townie.
Not being able to vote and use your day ability,correct me if I’m wrong but I believe that in the current patch while on the combo before going insane Tpow can use their ability making the combo a little bit useless.
I do think Insanity would need to be Nerfed to 2 days or maybe a single day that way.
I feel like majority voting for who has the book could be applied if a Coven member doesn’t want the book or when a coven member with book dies.
To make it more clear add a HUD: You have the book
Something like when you’re pirated,but for a brief 5-10 seconds
At the start of the game they can keep the coven book order, then have the majority of coven vote to change who has the book.
I don’t know if it’s doable,but I really want the ability to pass the book to another coven member or choose if you want the book’s effect applied to your night ability.
Insane don't even work, it supposed to make Inasene players to vofe random but it don't, they can choose and are force to guilty, that it...
So what if Dreamweaver has a button that he could turn on and off in night time, to force players who are Insane to vote the same target as him and the same results, if he vote guilty, insane players vote guilty and so on, add a little of risk cause people could try to pin down who is the Dreamweaver, or you can play low and not control the Insane players vote :)
Just make Dream effect instant but dissapear the next day. It's good buff to counter day role and screw vigi if they claim during the day.
(Or make it into a limited use of abillity to tone it down furthur if too op)
