i just wanted to say i’m really enjoying your channel and especially vlogmas ❤ i even took your tip of doing a weekly check in for variable expenses - excellent idea, thanks! will help prevent some of the drier ends to the month we’ve sometimes experienced …! keep it up 😊
I was born in Canada, but raised in the Detroit area. I still have many cousins & relatives in and around Windsor, and was just there visiting a few weeks ago. Growing up, my cousins and I spent many weekends shopping together here in the states. We were reminiscing about that at our recent visit. Your recent trip just brings back all those fun memories of my childhood with my cousins. I live in WI now and it’s been many years. I used to love going to CA to spend time with them, as well. I’m so glad you had fun with your friends!
That's such a sweet memory Tracey 🥰 I work with quite a few people who live in the US (virtually, like it is an international company) - and those who live up north always say how they would cross the border when they were younger (especially to buy alcohol) 😂
If I lived close to the border (I live about 4 hours from the Montana border for one entrance) I would shop in the USA a lot even with a poor exchange rate it would be worth it. Target messed up when they came into Canada. They didn’t understand the consumer. It was a huge lesson for businesses. 💕
The pudding cups are sugar free. Also, it seems you came to the states the weekend before US Thanksgiving so that is probably why trader Joe's was so crowded.
I’m enjoying your Vlogmas!
Thank you Pat 😊
Too funny about the single donut! 😂
Kristine! And lol I know 😂 They look at me like I'm insane each time I ask for one...

Thank you so much 😊 Checking in for my variable expenses made such a difference in my budget - so hopefully it works well for you too!

😂I never did that, but I had friends who did!
I really enjoy hearing the breakdown of your spending 😊
Thank you 😊
"Swiss Chalet- Always so good, for so little." 😂 They don't use that slogan anymore, eh?
Absolutely not! And I understand everything is expensive now, but I don't think $50 for two people is worth it for rotisserie chicken 🤷🏻♀️
@@AmeliaBudgets I agree! I still like going to SC, but mostly because it's nostalgic. I can go to a "fancy" restaurant for the same price!

Shopping in the US is so much better - and you're right, even with the "bad" exchange rate, they just have so many more options!

I realized that... not the best timing lol 😂 But even without Thanksgiving - there were so many Ontario license plates!
