- rearrangement of the piece "Requiem for the Gods" from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. First pass closely follows the original while on 2nd, i took out the guitar, because i think it really matches the vibes of a castlevania. i recorded a real church bell in a small village for this :P

This is the best video game soundtrack ever made.

The composer is indeed careful and considerate. As the soul of video games, this work has given life to an immortal classic game, which is a gorgeous movement. This piece of music has a classical and Gothic music style. It is composed of pipe music, heavy rock music, and vocal music. I especially love the real church bells and organ sounds. In the heavy atmosphere, it seems that there is a great crisis hidden. The music has been extremely successful in interpreting and setting off the atmosphere of this part of the game screen. I personally think that whether it is used for game music or epic music, the composition is indeed very Superb performance.
This rearrangement is just the kind of music id expect to hear in the Christian chapel found in Draculas castle, serving as a mockery to the faith that burned his wife at the stake unjustified.

thank you! it's indeed an irony but i think that chapel was part of the castle long before his wife got lynched. and from what you encounter inside, it lost all of its christian consecration :P
And the God he once dedicated himself to during the Crusades. The very God he now dedicates his undying existence to eternally cursing for taking his first wife away from him.
As a Christian who belongs to the sort of branches that HAVE chapels like this, I actually disagree about the consecration. I think that's why Alucard can receive communion ("grape juice") and confession (if the wrong priest doesn't show up and stab him), I think there's still some holiness left behind, and it's just a sort of tragic remnant of his wife. Sure, it's overrun with monsters, but the holiest rites remain (communion and confession)@@juunjuubei

@@juunjuubei that was actually a major plot point in Bram Stoker's Dracula. Van Helsing needed to consecrate the boxes of earth and crypt not because it wasn't consecrated, but rather 'this has been consecrated for man's use. I shall now consecrate it for God's' thereby making it wholly unfit for purpose.
That guitar is so evil and awesome in the second half. Easily one of the best versions I have heard.

This, my friend is a masterpiece the original was already stunningly good, the only it lacks is the proper loop, the Bell in the original sounds like it just made itself free from some plants or something and the clearer sound shouldve been more obvious in the loops after that, but your Version was very refreshing. Youve done the Castlevania Community a great Service, i suppose. I'll definetily take a closer look in your channel. Have a great day, and dont go hollow.

Honestly, that last bit with you overlaying vocals from different parts of the song essentially, almost canonized, was my favorite part!
lol these are the additional voices from the first part, like the harmonic fundament. i liked them as well without the leading voices taking all the space away..
Omg the first part that was "just" a straight remix was fantastic...then the second part kicked in with the holy hell metal and i was like 🤯

thanks! i'm deeply respecting the source material. when starting a project like this, i first reconstruct the original by listening out every single note and trying to match the sound before rearranging..

Good work. Two minor differences in how id adapt this, drop the electric guitar entirely (thats just personal taste) and work more to emphasize the high notes in the female voices particularly in the beginning. Again good work producing this. its well mixed and must have taken a lot of work.
thanks for the feedback! you're right, i struggled with the lead voices of the choir to stand out and still not sound too unrealistic or cover the other voices in the mix.. i'm not very good at mixing, but i always try hard 😅 and for the guitar, i wanted to give it some additional impact, though i think the piece is a bit too slow for rythm guitars..

I really like the way you elaborated on the vocals by adding a sort of "second verse" consisting of lower masculine vocals to change it up.
thanks! yeah, i tried another approach in the second pass to give it some sort of contrast. but what i really like there, is when the females start again and the drums double up the speed..

I need a scarier version of most of the background music from Castlevania Symphony of the Night; We have been modifying the castle to an environment similar to the one in Silent hill scenarios

Hi, I love this version so much, Can I use it in the Castlevania videogame I'm creating? The antichapel: It is a version of the chapel from Castlevania Symphony of the Night, but in a scarier version, it is more like a Silent hill scenario. You can be part of the project if you want to. I already looped this audio, it is awesome!
thanks for liking my version! sounds cool, but i can't imagine a castlevania shifted towards silent hill scenery. silent hill has a completely different feel with it's subtle style. as long as credits are given, theres no problem in using my version in your project. i made it just for fun :D

Makes me feel so many things, although I seldom would find words to describe it. This game and this game's music is definitely a big piece of me
i know these feelings, VGM has a strong impact because you spend much time in those places where the music plays. and this is what throws you back so hard, when listening again. nostalgia and VGM are wonderful things 😌 sadly there are many people out there still not paying attention to music from games..
I find myself attracted deeply to this symphony the moment I listen to it👍, most importantly I felt peace

@@juunjuubei I get that, if you're not into playing Mega Man it's fine but give some chance to the OST, I'm sure you'll like it and make some good remixes :D Also, if I may, I'd suggest doing some games that are not MM1, MM2 or MM3, because the first 3 games are just overremixed (a bit). MM4 and the following titles have just as great OST as the first 3 games
