It’s my first year growing I’m super excited to see how much mine will weigh. And it’s gonna be a great boat to float in the pumpkin regatta race this October
Using a rake as an axle for that drip tape roll. Love the resourcefulness. Can you grow record-breaking giant pumpkins in clay, because the soil in my area isn't sandy like that. I have like 18 giant pumpkin seedlings but I have no space in my yard so I will probably unfortunately have to toss 'em :(
Yes you must be very educated .just a high school diploma here cause that’s where you lost me I’m not very educated and I did not know that. I’m talking clay-based Soil’s that are mixed with sand. One of the best things you could do with clay soil is dump 5 yards of sand and 1000 ft.² and rototill it into the soil just now making your clay-based Soil loose
So flowers are okay... just not the baby pumpkins.... BUT I do not understand secondary 🆚 what you were pulling off.... could you go in a little bit more detail the differences?
We grow a main vine the secondary grow at 90 degrees to the main vine. any vines growing from the secondary are pinched off. No vines ever cross each other as this would crowd the leafs to much
Burying the vines has done wonders for my root system (combined with root keeper)
Great!
Your soil looks so sandy. Good luck guys.
Yes it is
Thanks for the info on the drip tape! 👍
300 gallons a day twice a day? Wow that is hammering them, but needed if it’s hot and dry. Good luck boys!
Most likely maybe 450 gallons a day
I like that drip tape... I'm overhead watering mine and it's doing OK no problems so far.
We will use both methods if it does not rain once a week
Those look great for having a late start!
Yes we will catch up!

I’m 15 days after pollination and I’m 41 inches around
Nice Good Luck!
Congrats Robert.
Thanks for the details!

Grand solar minimum you probably get a frosting late September. Good luck just so you i started growing pumpkins because of your vids. Thank you
Why do you think we will get frost?
Interesting I will check it out
Nice patch!
Thanks I will tell Eri
Like the videos very informing, can't wait till next year to try some of your idea's
Im glad you liked them!!
@drjolly77 You can sow certain kinds of squash right now if you are in the right area!
Eri is a natural born cinematographer.
I wish I had a way to put a little bit of water soluble fertilizer in an auto waterer, I like that large tank system like that
How much and how often will you be feeding them now Mark?
Every watering gets a trickle
So with your plants that size are you already using bloom? Or still on the grow regiment?
Grow all the way to fruit set

Clay is good but not solid clay
so like.. liquid or gas clay? jk
Not sure what you mean?
@@Worldwidegiantgrowers well you said "not SOLID clay". The other states of matter are LIQUID and GAS.

Will these plants be covered like your others?
No Kin caves this year
I used 1/2” drip hose with emitters this year and I’m not a fan yet I may have to use drip tape next year
