    Burying the vines has done wonders for my root system (combined with root keeper)

    Thanks for the info on the drip tape! 👍
    300 gallons a day twice a day? Wow that is hammering them, but needed if it’s hot and dry. Good luck boys!

    I like that drip tape... I'm overhead watering mine and it's doing OK no problems so far.

    It’s my first year growing I’m super excited to see how much mine will weigh. And it’s gonna be a great boat to float in the pumpkin regatta race this October

    I wish I had a way to put a little bit of water soluble fertilizer in an auto waterer, I like that large tank system like that

    So with your plants that size are you already using bloom? Or still on the grow regiment?

    Using a rake as an axle for that drip tape roll. Love the resourcefulness. Can you grow record-breaking giant pumpkins in clay, because the soil in my area isn't sandy like that. I have like 18 giant pumpkin seedlings but I have no space in my yard so I will probably unfortunately have to toss 'em :(

    • @Worldwidegiantgrowers

      Clay is good but not solid clay

    • @lucasgrowsbestyt
      @lucasgrowsbestyt 5 лет назад

      @@Worldwidegiantgrowers well you said "not SOLID clay". The other states of matter are LIQUID and GAS.

      Yes you must be very educated .just a high school diploma here cause that’s where you lost me I’m not very educated and I did not know that. I’m talking clay-based Soil’s that are mixed with sand. One of the best things you could do with clay soil is dump 5 yards of sand and 1000 ft.² and rototill it into the soil just now making your clay-based Soil loose

    So flowers are okay... just not the baby pumpkins.... BUT I do not understand secondary 🆚 what you were pulling off.... could you go in a little bit more detail the differences?

    • @Worldwidegiantgrowers
      @Worldwidegiantgrowers  5 лет назад

      We grow a main vine the secondary grow at 90 degrees to the main vine. any vines growing from the secondary are pinched off. No vines ever cross each other as this would crowd the leafs to much

    I used 1/2” drip hose with emitters this year and I’m not a fan yet I may have to use drip tape next year
