I love this car, it's my baby in several different sims, and when I picked it up on ACC, it felt instantly familiar. Before this, when I was a newer newbie, I wanted to drive stuff like the McLarens, Audi or the Porsche. But I decided to pick a car that I thought was going to be easier to wheel around, while being able to teach me how to be a better driver. If my driving style evolved to suit her, or she just suits me to a T, I don't know. But in my hands, this car feels perfectly, *exactly*, balanced. Completely polite. Almost on rails and impossible to spin out unless I do something really dumb (I still do, sometimes). She's my good, reliable girl that does whatever I ask of her. And she sounds amazing while doing it.

The looks and sound were 90% the reason why I love the merc. I drove the 488 for a long time but wanted a different beast. Was trying different cars but none suited me. I always came back to the merc

I always liked it but I always killed myself when I tried to push myself or I was to slow :D. But after learning curve from 991 I tried it again and I need to give it some time to learn it but after 991 I can do stuff where I was scared on 991 :D

Good video, I too think that EVO is a BEAST. I think the less experienced might have hard time with it. Maybe the GT4 sibling would be a better beginner as she is more forgiving lol, wesome video mate. Cheers

Run TC 6 in the merc and you put the hammer down however and wherever you want. It's a really versatile car with amazing electronics. Unfortunately it gets a lot of off throttle oversteer through highspeed which sucks!

    • @Danidurga

If the car roll to much when you lift the trhottle, try to to still on throttle just a bit for change the diferential behaviour.

@@Danidurga actually it's the opposite. If it unsettles upon lifting, you should decrease the preload. If the car is unsettling on throttle THAT is when you increase the preload.

That steering wheel you're using is horribly noisy!!! It has a terrible hollow plastic box echo

    • @CaseTheCorvetteMan
      @CaseTheCorvetteMan Год назад +2

@@bmwM3M5M6 well technically any Fanatec product is massively overpriced Chinese rubbish, but yes, their magnetic ones.
I had the APM set, the analog paddles were nothing short of a joke, but the shifters were merely passable given their huge price.
I've never had one single issue with my SC2 Pro, which actually cost LESS than my DD1 did, the first one broke down every 20 minutes, and i'm not making that up, it really did.... It took the incompetent Fanatec crew 6 months to acknowledge there was actually an issue, and they finally replaced it.... the second one worked much better than the first, but that would not have been hard. It was notchy and gratey, felt pretty average, and always felt completely different whenever you'd reflash firmware whether it was the same version or a new version....
I had 11 of their wheels, which i foolishly bought right off the bat before actually seeing them... i had 6 universal hubs, two had the APM, 5 of those had a lot of flex in the QR, one had no movement at all and actually fit nice.
The F1 wheel was actually quite nice, but majority of the functions didn't work as advertised, so i never used it much.
The round rally wheel isn't perfectly round, and the center is off by about 3-4 mm, which is a shame, the rim of that wheel is really quite ok.
The GT wheel wore out very quick, which is funny, it cost more than my Tahko but my Tahko is holding up a lot better...
Honestly i could rave on all day, i haven't touched on the horribly loose very worn V3s yet, at least they have always worked fairly well, just feel terrible compared to basically any other decent brand...
I would never buy another Fanatec product again if my life depended on it, run by a very greedy man that doesn't give a damn about customers, and won't think twice about exploiting Chinese workers to get absolute maximum profit from every item sold...

@@bmwM3M5M6 if you get to try an SC2 Pro, or any of the wheels for those, with their beautiful magnetic shifters, you'll understand exactly what i mean.
