Rocket League Standard and Rocket League Rumble are very different game modes and both have Supersonic Legends. The question is: Who is the better supersonic Legend? Rumble or Standard? The age old question will be answered here today by testing the ranked Supersonic Legends vs the Rumble Supersonic Legends. The only thing is that the Rumble SSL's will have powerups on, like normal, and the ranked supersonic Legends will not. It's a challenge that will answer it all.

As someone who has played more GC rumble than is mentally healthy, I can gladly say that whenever you see someone doing a random, weird aerial, he 100% has some nutty powerup

Next time they should have both both teams with power-ups for the first round then for the next round none of the teams have got power-ups.

Both teams with power-ups would be somewhat fair. But none of the teams with power-ups would be unfair. The Rumble supersonic legends are only gc1 in 3s. While the actual supersonic legends are SSL in 3s and 2s.

Perfect time for the video as that is around the time I came across several rumble ssls. Having played several of the both type of ssls, I can confirm even 16-1700 gc mechanics and speed triumphs over rumble ssls generally, but their use of items and the precision that goes along with them is extremely dangerous.

Same. He clearly is biased and doesn't play Rumble. Yeah its true that rumble players of the same rank would most likely be worse than regular soccar players but you still need skill to get to the high ranks of rumble. They still are deserving of their SSL titles.

A possible way to add to this video would be a rematch where both teams got power ups, however they were less frequent for example 1 power up every 20 or 25 seconds. This would give both of the teams time to use their skill while keeping it fair

In Rumble as long as you have basic mechanics and rotation special to that mode, you can climb up with GOOD POWERUP USAGE. You cant just spam them

@@deweygibson3509 Power ups doesn't mean anything in this comparison, I'm trying to point out that it's not their specialty, they're not a 2s player they are a 3s. Just because someone is an SSL in rumble does mean they're not an SSL. They put the hours into rumble and deserve to put called SSL too. I would say it's actually harder to get SSL in rumble or any extra modes than standard because they have less ppl to queue against compared to standard so each game takes even longer to start which means each game becomes even more important.

It's like saying 3v3 ssls aren't real ssls cause they suck at 1v1. Those people (especially snow day and dropshot but also rumble and hoops) have learned the game mode to an extent were they are almost perfect at it. Just like 1v1 ssls who perfectioned their 1v1 skills.

I feel like this is a bad comparison for the "Rumble isn't about skill" crowd and will embolden them without proper context.
The confounding variables are the amount of inflation in Rumble may be higher than Standard, or that fewer top-tier players care about playing Rumble to affect the MMR in there. While RNG does induce some chance, you still need the mechanics outside the powerups to play around them and the knowledge of the powerups and their angles to use them effectively.

Rumble is not about luck at the high levels, it’s about reaction and adaptation.
Yeah, I don't fully agree with the idea that rngeniuses aren't "real" supersonic legends. Yes they have power ups, but powers don't carry you very far. I sit pretty solidly in mid to high gold in standard modes and in rumble I'm low plat. You still need skill, just different kinds.
Getting to ssl in any mode is an achievement, and that achievement and skill shouldn't be downplayed just because you didn't earn in in the traditional modes.

"Oh this is an ssl rumble team against a (insert rank here) rumble team" you're comparing them on the basis as if their both playing the same mode but they aren't.
