What a fabulous fundraiser that would be. The narrator of the animated series should be the narrator of this wonderful channel. No when they mentioned that Trudys had a big pot belly I thought of what the vet told me when I was the vet tech at his practice, he always said remember keep it simple stupid! He meant try the simplest thing to fix the problem if you can’t get an exact diagnosis or you are waiting to find out the diagnosis.They think Trudy‘s bloated belly is from some thing she’s eating, obviously a bloated belly would be gas. In the wild a lot of apes have big bloated bellies and fart all the time because of what they eat. If it’s gas why don’t they try something simple like Gas-X. It’s over the counter it’s very mild and she’s should start burping and farting if it is a gas problem and the bloating should start going away in 24 to 48 hours. It isn’t going to hurt?

    • @seekinmyshadowlands6875
      @seekinmyshadowlands6875 2 года назад +1

      Not so obvious...Trudy has been scanned, tested and surveilled near to death. These handlers are very well versed on their charges and this center has the expertise of one of the finest wildlife vets in the world. Your "vet" was a Primate specialist....or mayhaps, a vet whose typical day involved treating geriatric Canines, a Feline with obesity issues or maybe the odd Assinine with a cold (sorry, that would be an Equine Vet)...all commendable feats but, I would be willing to bet that even he would digress and step aside when it comes to caring for a GREAT APE as they are truly not just humans with unbelievable strength and furry bodies. It would be akin to me giving specialized care to a premature infant in my ER...I could and would be comfy enough to give emergent life/death care but, I would never pretend to know what was necessary to care for an infant who 1) is a human but, a Premature Neonate human and 2) has already been covered by one of the best neonatologists in the country. In other words...Trudy has been under the care and tutelage of England's (actually, the worlds) finest Wildlife Veterinarians (as well as Allison and Jeremy with all of their combined experience) and he himself, is having difficulty with diagnosing her malady(ies). Remember, these guys are not wild chimps and they do not eat what wild apes do...they dont "recycle" their poop. They eat diverse types of fruit and veg that wild ones dont come across and they do not derive their fluids from vast amounts of fibrous plant materials as the wild guys do. They also must get their supplements and vitamins from external sources given to them so, a regularly bloated belly means something else for this girl. They've done the scans, the x-rays and ALL of the blood panels but, to no avail... except to catch her unfortunate "slipped discs" (herniated and slipped discs are absolutely horrible for human beings, I know first hand but, could you imagine what an active young adult chimp whose a jumping, climbing qudraped on top of this must feel like when they are treated "differently" BECAUSE they CANNOT PERFORM their NORMAL "super human" feats? Not only are they physically handicapped but mentally bullied because they are acting DIFFERENTLY. I imagine though that these guys are more accepting due to their often times "strange" upbringing and these chimps are pretty much on their game yet, they seem to take on one another more kindly and gently when they perceive undue pain from "someone" else! Anyhoo, when speaking of and considering chimp Trudy, there is something much more evil underlying here....something that an aspirin (or gas-X) will not suffice to take care of. Who knows as MAYBE the amount of sodium and or calcium in those particular types of remedies MIGHT POSSIBLY cause some real problems with HER because her past treatment is such an unknown. She has some really bad issues stemming from her terrible past and I suspect that there in lies the answer...WHAT EXACTLY did her handlers or researchers give her in her earlier years...it is unknown and this will sadly be her "cause of death"
      ** Speaking of Osheen, she had a "baby" of her own at the ranch where she was raised and they apparently rather quickly, removed her adopted baby from her. One week she was carrying around a well dressed well coiffed little baby boy and the next week, it WAS NOWHERE TO BE OH SEEN! I am very concerned about what mommas going to do to this new chubby bully who is used to having anything and everything she wants handed to her...when she goes to take her little "Gin" away from it's mom and is to stubborn to give it back or STOP either her general foolishness? I don't think that this is going to be fun at all and it is going to be really sad to watch this confident orangs "come down" and withdrawal. She doesn't have her mom to protect her and I bet that Gins mom (sorry guys, I have had a temporary brain fart and cannot remember her name at present) will show her a new path of understanding life. She's truly a very sad case. Just an observation here...look at her, already she's lost weight..her "target" on her forehead has disappeared for the most part.

      @@seekinmyshadowlands6875 My 1st job when I got out of school was working in the primate section at a zoo, but this was a long long long time ago since I am 68 years old now. Our gorillas, chimps and other great apes were usually very gassy. Sometimes to the point we could tell which one of the them was very uncomfortable. The vet told us to give the one that was uncomfortable simethicone, which brand name is called Gas-X. The simethicone usually work very well and if the animal that was uncomfortable did not feel better and the hard belly became softer with in 24 hours The vet would knock them out with a tranquilizer and then every test in the book was done but they still told us to give simethicone until they figured out what the problem was. I’m just saying that the simethicone worked very well for us.
