That's true Anil. But not for all roles in IT. Also, holding a JSV and applying for jobs while you are in Germany gives you an edge over candidates applying directly from India. There are several employers who prefer candidates already in Germany as they can start sooner and have less bureaucracy to go through.
@@GermanyIsCalling That's debatable, In Germany it's expected one would join after 3 months of NP. So even if you are applying from India, it takes 3 months to obtain visa (might be faster for Blue Card). So from employer's perspective there's no real gain IMO
@@anilkare818 But I heard that applying from outside Germany can be a grueling and lengthy process, specially for someone with somewhat limited experience like 2 years for example. Do you think that is the case or people are exaggerating?
This is the latest checklist from "make it in Germany" website: Check the requirements • Equivalence or comparability of the foreign qualification (academic or vocational qualification) • Secure financial means (blocked account or declaration of commitment) • Proof of German language competence: minimum requirement is level B1 (CEFR) (compulsory for people with vocational training) The last requirement (Proof of German language competence) is a bit confusing. Is it only for people with vocational training or for everyone? Also, if I have a degree in Engineering but my experience and the job that I will look for in Germany is software development, would that be a problem?
For engineers, it is not required to have German proficiency for JSV application. You might want to consider joining our free GIC discord server as there are other professionals who might be able to answer your question better. Simply visit germanyiscalling.com/ to know more. Thanks!

For electrical engineering jobs, you will need to have some good German language proficiency. This post might help - germanyiscalling.com/5-step-guide-to-finding-jobs-in-germany-for-foreigners/
Hi Anoop, HNY 2023, Hope you are doing great!! Once again I am reaching out to you for help. Can you please help me or pinpoint (if you already covered in earlier video) on how to get appointment at Ausländerbehörde ? My JSV is approved and I am visiting Germany in next 2 months or so and want to reserve a Dummy appointment in Frankfurt ABH few weeks/months after my arrival, so that by the time i have received an offer I am able to visit ABH with this appointment and convert my JSV to EUBC. I am sensing that there are delays in getting appointments and further delays in getting the Blue Card before being able to start working even after getting a Job Offer. There was recent news somewhere that FRA ABH is lot behind on emails and things are grim. I tried to find so much for Frankfurt ABH appointment system and it seems there is no online system for taking appointment. The only info I found was on this link - frankfurt.de/service-und-rathaus/verwaltung/aemter-und-institutionen/ordnungsamt/auslaenderbehoerde/neu-terminvereinbarungen To get appointment by emailing, but then there also I am confused as this is what i got in the auto-reply upon sending my request for appointment => Please use this e-mail address exclusively for sending the documents requested by us. As soon as we receive your documents, we will start with the preliminary examination. After your documents have been reviewed, you will receive an appointment letter at our office. If you have not received an appointment letter for an interview after 12 weeks of sending your documents, you may contact us again. We kindly ask you to refrain from contacting us earlier. Any guidance from you/your network on getting the appointment at FRA ABH to convert JSV to EUBC is much appreciated. Cheers !
