Thanks for watching.. I'm on the lookout for a fret King to review. The resale value is pretty bad so I'll look for a deal on one. The Yamaha SA-RR is extremely rare. I would snag one and keep it, if I could find one.
@@Bluesgtar I'll keep my eye out for the Fret King, I agree if I found that Yamaha I would keep it. I saw one for sale once, but it was for way more money than I could afford at the time.
Hi and thanks for watching. Unfortunately they do not make that model anymore. The 80s and 90s Yamaha electrics are all great guitars. They do pop up used occasionally. Do you live in the US? If so they pop up used at Guitar Center frequently.
Hello, and thanks for listening and subscribing. I just subscribed to your channel and checked out some of your videos. Nice playing, by the way. Also, I'm a huge Yamaha guitar fan, and fixing up your first guitar is a great idea. I wish I had the first good electric my dad bought me when I was 13. It was a 1965 Fender Jaguar. Take care, Don Giroux
@Bluesgtar Thank you! Your videos are interesting and you play very well. I am trying to fix the guitar myself. In the worst case I can learn from it, or I can try something else to fix it. I bought it in the US when I was an exchange student. Take care!
It’s definitely a nice guitar for the money. I’ve never had my hands on 1511MS but I know it’s a completely different guitar. I’ll grab one if I find one for what I consider a good price. Thanks for watching Take Care / Don G
pity they never made a left handed version (as is to be expected with signature models), otherwise i would've jumped on the bandwagon. beautiful piece of wood regardless.
Thanks for the comment...I'm sure you are right since it's the Japanese Catalog. The guitar was however made in Taiwan. I went ahead and translated the Japanese writing on the 311MS catalog photo in case anyone is interested in reading it The 311MS inherits the sound concept and design proposed by Mike Stern Model 1511MS. A single-cutaway Pacifica with authentic bolt-on guitar construction and hardware for modern playing styles. A beautiful maple neck set with a real wood/alder body covered in ash. Achieves rich sound and clear sustain. Furthermore, the pickup also follows the style of the 1511MS, with a combination of high quality alnico humbuckers at the front and single size humbuckers at the rear. The high specs hidden in the simple form make it flexible enough to cover a variety of playing styles, from rock to sharp chord cutting to fat jazz tones. Sound makeup is possible. The Pacifica 311MS is better than the expensive one in my opinion, the controls are positioned better.
