In all my years of watching NCAA tournament basketball this is to me by far the greatest run I seen from any team in college basketball. It's a testament of loyality these guys had for each other and their coach who always does an incredible job with his players. Louisville Rules!!!! Thanks for the memories. It truly is a one shining moment I will never forget.

Back in the 1940s the NITs where the place for the best of the best in College basketball, that's why they are called the National Invitation Tournament. The NCAA was for the teams who didn't get an invite to the NITs. It wasn't until the 1950s that the NCAA made the D1 colleges participate in their tournaments.
What I'll remember most about this tourney? FGCU's cinderella run. Dunk City! Louisville's run after Ware's injury is also amazing. Gotta love college basketball!

I'm not even a huge basketball fan, but the way this team carries themselves makes me proud to be a resident of Louisville, Kentucky.
Even if the championship was taken away from Louisville, this is still my favorite March Madness ever. From the day Wichita State shocking Kelly Olynyk and Gonzaga to watching my team not get the opportunity to redeem themselves after losing the title game the year before to watching Duke go down on Easter. All are great memories for just a school boy.
We've waited a long time for this again. I knew we were going to win the championship when we came from way down to beat Syracuse in the Big East Conference tournament championship game. The team was so focused and determined that I thought this was going to finally be our year.

favorite memory of the tourney was Florida Gulf Coast - the athleticism of those guys was insane. Also, Louisville and Kevin Ware. The best game of the whole season was the title game, the right team won - congrats to Louisville
You guys almost paid us a visit in Atlanta this past season. Would've been a very interesting game although the Shockers went one step further than i predicted.
Im not a Louisville fan...but yes it should count. Everybody cheats but that doesn't necessarily mean all the other cheaters will execute accordingly on the court to win.
They try to pick moments that defined the playoffs (hence the background song). People are more likely to remember an inspiring story (Ware) or a cinderella (FGCU) than a big school like Florida with a relatively high ranking who performs about how they were expected to. Then there are the random clips of big dunks and shots and players getting pumped up, and it's likely that Florida just didn't have what they were looking for.

This goes to show you how we miss the old-line TV production people, the ones today are clueless as to how to create a quality video montage. What is this obsession with play-by-play calls edited onto these videos? Why can't we just listen to the music? What's the point of having this song,if it's completelt drowned out by talking and crowd noise? Roone Arledge would cry.

It used to be better, it lost it's tone. If you look back at them from the 80s and 90's the way they edited the video with the song made it more epic. It has a real Brittney Spears feel now.
