Kudos my friend on the kitchen protection set up. As a rescue foster mom so many pups get dumped into the kill shelter system for these kinds of behavioral issues. Bless you. The table next to the blue chair is unique. Its the perfect size to place a cup of tea or a glass of water/juice. A round piece of marble cheeseboard atop of the table would protect the wood and add to its elegance.
Love your apartment, and you did a wonderful thing to take care of your dogs, and they don’t get hurt in the kitchen that is not inhumane that is wise and protecting your dogs in a good way!
My dogs have always loved their crates…I think it’s a sense of security for them. Living in an apartment is different and I applaud your respect of others. Beautiful home! And yes, I did miss you. 😘

Love the apartment Tammy! As the owner of 2 dogs myself including a 1-year-old golden retriever, I totally understand your concern about them getting hurt counter surfing. Our last golden grabbed my husband’s ribs dinner sitting on the countertop and had to go to the ER. You’re protecting them and you’re a good dog mommy for doing the right thing ❤😘

The apartment is beautiful. Thank you for sharing. It was foreign to me to crate train my dogs but once I realized it is a safety issue for the whole family (including my dog babes) It was easy to adjust MY thinking. My animals spend the majority of their time in the house and I want them safe.
Beautifully done!!! regarding the windows - how about putting some curtains halfway up the window to block the view for the dogs and still be able to get light in for you? You can buy the stick on kind of curtain rods that won't mar the window sills

My daughter’s dog jumped up to get bread off her stove when she wasn’t home and accidentally turned the gas stove on. Almost burned the house down. Never let anyone tell you that is not a good choice or mean for a dog. Safety first.
Lovely home. Don’t listen to people critique you for the way you house and restrict your dog’s access to certain places. You’re an educated dog mama, you know what is best for them.
Stunning apt. and so very special that they have used those doors to the pantry and kept what else they could from the original home! It's a ton of work but you are so fortunate to be able to move between your beautiful winter Florida home and your Buffalo home for the summer. LOVE the colours as well! Great idea about the kitchen buzzers for the dogs!! Never knew there was such a thing! Too bad the windows didn't have the blinds that you could open from the top OR the bottom! Then you could enjoy seeing the outdoors and the dogs wouldn't see all the traffic and bark!! 😊 ~~M~~
I think it is great that you have put up "fences" for safety for your lovely doggies. People that disagree just want something to holler about. There are always complainers. You do what is best for your family. Love the place.... I absolutely love the barn doors on the pantry, love the kitchen and the bedroom. When you get it done it will be fabulous !!

Tammy your new summer dwelling is just devine!!! I L❤VE everything about it! Who ever designed this truly thought out the design and finishes, I am definitly a fan of polished granite over the newer trend of the matt, but if thats the only "well...I might have chosen differently" item in the entire apartment, then I think thats livable :) truly a stunning layout and I really love how open it is - especially love the openness of the entryway and the chandelier , and a full basement - provides lots of storage for that stuff you dont want to look at daily, or need every day. The touches from the old barn are magnificient, I can see why you fell in love with this new home, its just lovely. You are like me, when I move I waste no time in getting unpacked, new decor etc. Everyone always tells me " oh, just LIVE with it a year, see how you feel and what you want"...lol, i'm already buying things for a new home the day I know i'm moving 😅, so far in 6 homes in the past 20 years i've only bought one peice of furniture that ended up being too big so I just sold it, no biggie :) thank you for sharing your new summer home with us. Also...anyone who has even watched a handful of your videos knows that those precious babies are treated like the two little queens they are 👑.

Lovely home! And you’ve made a lovely space for your pups….we’ve done something similar for our Puggle, Bella, and have her crate in our large laundry room, complete with a cover that keeps her feeling safe at night or when we leave the house. Great idea with the indoor electric fence!
Yes, I am convinced most dogs love the security of their crates...we did not crate Bindi...she HATED the crate...but she was an exceptional dog in regard to respecting the house...HARLEE and LULAH well, they own the house...they only allow us to live in it to feed them...BUT if they had thumbs????????😂😂😂

Love your apartment/home. We downsized last year in July. Had a 4,000 sq ft house. Which we lived in for 43 yrs raising our kids. We are now living in a 2000 sq ft apartment and dearly love it. Easy to clean and no worries about being responsible for any maintenance. We also have a garage which is great. They even change our lightbulbs if we wanted them to. Which is ridiculous we change our own. Yesterday my husband said this is like living in heaven. I love your loving protection for your babies. Our dog used to go in her craft on her own and rest. Would love to see your basement! Thanks for sharing!

The other place had no yard and it was just to small...this is perfect because of the property that surrounds it. We are here for. 3 months so a little room is also needed to enjoy it...then we head back to Florida !!

People get ridiculous with comments. You are not cruel to your dogs at all. It’s called being a smart dog momma. I have the same area rug in my living room. We also purchased ours from Homegoods. The walk in closet in our bedroom is the same problem. Our bedroom is huge along with the bathroom. Yet the builder put in a small walk-in closet. He could have made his and hers walk-ins with the amount of bedroom space we have! I have a quarter of the closet. I gave the other 3/4th to hubby. I use the closet in the extra bedroom. What a beautiful place! People always ask us why we don’t come up to New York in the summers. We both have no desire to but usually make a trip up for the holidays. We just outgrew it. Have fun in your fabulous place!❤

Yes, I am convinced most dogs love the security of their crates...we did not crate Bindi...she HATED the crate...but she was an exceptional dog in regard to respecting the house...HARLEE and LULAH well, they own the house...they only allow us to live in it to feed them...BUT if they had thumbs????????😂😂😂
I have the invisible fence inside and outside, best invention ever!! None of my dogs has ever been "zapped". People that criticize it don't understand it.

Love your apartment/home. We downsized last year in July. Had a 4,000 sq ft house. Which we lived in for 43 yrs raising our kids. We are now living in a 2000 sq ft apartment and dearly love it. Easy to clean and no worries about being responsible for any maintenance. We also have a garage which is great. They even change our lightbulbs if we wanted them to. Which is ridiculous we change our own. Yesterday my husband said this is like living in heaven. I love your loving protection for your babies. Our dog used to go in her craft on her own and rest. Would love to see your basement! Thanks for sharing!

The other place had no yard and it was just to small...this is perfect because of the property that surrounds it. We are here for. 3 months so a little room is also needed to enjoy it...then we head back to Florida !!

People get ridiculous with comments. You are not cruel to your dogs at all. It’s called being a smart dog momma. I have the same area rug in my living room. We also purchased ours from Homegoods. The walk in closet in our bedroom is the same problem. Our bedroom is huge along with the bathroom. Yet the builder put in a small walk-in closet. He could have made his and hers walk-ins with the amount of bedroom space we have! I have a quarter of the closet. I gave the other 3/4th to hubby. I use the closet in the extra bedroom. What a beautiful place! People always ask us why we don’t come up to New York in the summers. We both have no desire to but
usually make a trip up for the holidays. We just outgrew it. Have fun in your fabulous place!❤

My cat is gone now but she loved her wee bed and I would put a blanket all over her and tucked it in. I would listen to her and she was snoring lol. Im doing your exercises 😊👍👍
