When you think about it; Emily's emotions are similar to the 5 stages of grief;
Denial is when she believes that she is married to Victor, anger is when she yells at him for being engaged to see else, greif is when she becomes sad over the fact that Victor doesn't actually love her, bargaining is when she wants to kill him so they can be together, and acceptance is when is understands that Victor is not her's and her dream will never be completed, but she accepts that and allows herself to rest in peace.

Poor Emily. All she wanted was to be loved. But then that bastard robbed her and left her to die. She must’ve been so excited...waiting for him...in her mother’s wedding dress...thinking they would start their lives together and be a family...be in love...but instead...left for dead. But at least she found peace. Damn! It has been so long since a film has made me so emotional like this!

In my own way i see an au being made with this song. the au being the fact sally and emily are friends in
death and sally comes to visit her eventually instead of having a crush on jack she ends up having a crush on emily. emily ends up being found by victor and sally ends up heartbroken. she had mostly been in denial
about her crush. constantly saying jack was the one. and when someone finally makes emily fall in love again. sally's getting frustrated. she is constantly telling emily how its gonna end up repeating history. (as
she can see the future in the film) but emily doesn't care. which obviously ended up upsetting sally. emily goes off on how victor is the perfect guy. and how he had to of been the one she was meant to find. the film
continues normally until the end when sally sees the guy who had murdered emily. she went off on him and when he finally dies sally ends up coming to terms with her girl crush.

This song brings back memories with my girlfriend and how I broke up with her
*Emily* ; A beautiful and intelligent woman who fall in love with the wrong man in her living time. She then ran away with her mother's wedding dress and all the money her family has had to run away with him. But then, she was murdered by him by stabbing her stomach with a sword (or knife) and left her dead while taking the money away.
Many years later, she was found by a man named Victor who accidentally proposed to her and she was truly grateful that she found love again. She really wanted to marry him and she really has fallen in love with him with the time they had spent together.
So they planned to have a wedding up on the surface. All she could think about was finally getting married to the man she truly loves. She never hesitated or stopped to think about what she was doing. All she could think about was marrying Victor and finally have her Happily Ever After.
But then, she soon realized that caring about her needs and wants is selfish because she is taking someone else's dreams away. She knows how that kind of pain feels and she doesnt want that to happen to another woman. So she gave up her heart and moved aside for Victoria to marry him. She was finally free from her curse by doing something selfless for once in her life.
*Sally* ; A hand stitched woman who was created by a brilliant scientist for other purposes. But when she sees everyone in Halloween Town celebrating for Halloween, her rebel self began straight away. Until she fell in love with a certain Pumpkin King who always loved Halloween.
So, one day, the Pumpkin King came back with an idea! He shall take over Christmas and start something new for once! Sally was very happy for him and she was always there to help him out without him noticing. But then, when she finally realized the terrible fate that will happen upon him, she tried to stop him immediately. She even begged him to not go but of course, he doesnt listen.
She had enough of this! She went out and tried to save Santa Claus herself because she knew that it was the right thing to do. But when she was captured by the Boogie Man, she knew that it was the end of her life. Not until Jack came along and saved them from the horrible monster.
After a huge celebration, Sally went off alone, hoping that no one followed her. But then, Jack came along and he confessed to her that he truly does love her as much as she loves him. They ended with a Happily Ever After with a sweet bitter kiss.
Now thats a sad story for emily and i dont know sally yet lol

Emily in the woods still not know she was still alive.
After Tim buried her he left without any evidence that she was
there but Emily finally woke but she tried to escape from the
pit she was in but suffocated before getting out. She had only
wiggled her hand out. After she got her hand out she died.
That’s why later in the movie when Emily and Tim meet again

I love Corpse Bride and The Nightmare Before Christmas equally. I can't choose which ones better, but out of the characters Emily and Sally, I like Emily more. The are both very similar, they have almost the same personally, and they both loved someone that they thought they wouldn't end up with. In the end, Jack did fall in love with Sally and they got their happily ever after. But Emily decided to let the love of her life be with someone he cared about more 💔 She did become free to go to heaven but still all she ever wanted in life, and death, was to find her true love, which she never got. Her story is heartbreaking

Nichel Bryant the back story is that Baricus or whatever killed Emily and took hey money. So she made a vow that one day love would come to her
Nichel Bryant Emily was tricked by Lord Barcus into falling in love with him, and when her father didn't approve she planned to run away with him and waited in the forest for him. He didn't show up for a while then appeared and killed her, taking her money and jewels and burying her before running away. Emily woke up, but was dead, and vowed that she would wait before coming back above the surface for somebody to come and find her and marry her. Lord Barcus was going to do the same to Victoria, but luckily he didn't because Victor and Emily stopped him. My guess is that Barcus is a serial killer
titanbiscuits if you pay attention the movie actually implies she was buried alive. He hit her with something and thought he killed her so he buried her in a shallow grave but notice how her hand sticks up when Victor puts the ring on her finger in the beginning of the movie. She was digging her way out and reaching up when she finally suffocated to death. She also says, "You left me for dead" which means you left me to die

i watched and loved the movie. and owned the original sound track. tbh, there really hasnt been alot of really moving songs from movie soundtracks, till corpse bride came along and just bulldozed the audience with feels.
and by moving songs, im specifically refering to songs with actual lyrics, as there are plenty of beautiful instramentals.
