Absolutely loved it born in 58 in Tacoma lifelong biker brought back many memories I have a 48 frame I'm putting a 73 shovel in that's what I'm doing now still rebuilt motors old school stuff thank you
Great finished product Jamie, proud to have been in your dad's garage more than once back in the day. You should also consider a possible side gig as a radio DJ.
This is great Jamie. My parents were bikers too as they are in this great video that you have put together. Glad you made connections with Denny and I on putting some of this together. Thanks again. My dad's bike belongs to his son now and is a cherished part of history for him.
I’m not a computer person. My grandson just showed me your movie. I’m in my 70s now and your movies made my heart sink. One spot was when you said somebody wanted to buy your dad’s drag bike for the frame. It shows you the progression of thought. The other was The crawler in front of your dad’s demolished building … just made my heart sink… I still have my 55 pan that I built from scratch in 1970… Bad back too many broken Old bones to start it, but I still have it… your dad and I would have gotten along fine… I might have even bought parts off him… just can’t recall… I hope that same feeling is in you. I
Steve, I absolutely share your feelings, I’m really glad that came across in the film. I tried really hard to make this upbeat, it was hard to maintain. Yes, those two moments are heartbreaking. But all the other things of seeing my folks live their dreams and the example they set for me is priceless. Thanks so much for connecting.
@ always remember, the positive times, and it seems your folks had plenty. I’m just an old Fart but your film had me reminiscing but I still can’t get over the fact, it’s somebody wanted to take a piece of history, the drag bike, apart to build Something else. I think about things like that often. That’s why I just can’t bring myself to sell my pan head.
I took those two shots the day it sold…even at 14 it made me shudder when he said that. Right this minute I don’t like imagining how Dad felt… That Buco purse of my Moms is priceless to me. That one piece of letterhead from the shop was in a box of toys, I think we kept score of some game on the back of it. Was a really lucky find. Don’t ever sell that panhead. Get your grandson to post a picture of it on here.
