Hello there. I just completed my ride from eastern PA to Deadhorse, AK to Key West, FL back home totaling 11,978 miles - Solo. I road my 2015 Victory Vision. Your video along with other RUclipsrs helped me plan for the trip. It was the most intense, white-knuckled, and exhilarating ride I've ever done. I was very, very fortunate to have good weather for the Alaskan part of my trip. The Dalton is definitely a road to be respected and admired. I like your drone videos. I recorded my ride on an INNOVV H5 camera and my nephew is editing it now. Great ride. Stay safe.😎
Very, very well done. Right amount of voice/over, excellent use of video . Truly an adventure you will remember for a lifetime. Many of us, probably all of your viewers envy you. Thanks for doing such an exemplary job in editing and taking us along.
Whomever the person was that decided to put a motor on a bicycle all those years ago was a genius. Fast forward to 2018 and guys like you are seeing parts of America and the world in what I consider the absolute best way. On two wheels. Much respect.
Hello and Salaam from Pakistan. You did a marvelous job in making the clip. The drone shots were fantastic and it felt like I was there with you. The serene beauty of nature is absolutely mesmerizing and you were so lucky to first hand enjoy the joys of being away from the busy cities and urban nightmare. I am hard of hearing and you are one of those few RUclipsrs who took that in consideration. The choice of music was also great and I thank you for showing me the Alaskan Highway.
Makes you want to hop on a bike and go! But, of course, so much planning is necessary. Thank you for sharing and now adding this trek to a collection of dream voyages!
It was really cool to see Sophie in your video. I met her when she rode from Fairbanks to Valdez. Really a sweet lady with an adventurist spirit. Liked your video too. Good stuff.
Nice video. Great trip. Thanks for sharing with us. Safe travels. Aim to do this in the next few years alone or with anyone crazy enough to do it with me. Thanks for the tips and motivation.
Thank you so much for all your efforts in recording and editing this to share. Very informative and inspirational. I appreciate your generosity with information.
Beautifully done. Quite informative and entertaining. It was nice to re-live riding this road through the great drone footage. Thanks for taking the time while on your trip to document it so well.
Hey Walter, thanks so much. I really enjoyed your video too - great job narrating and telling your story. Hope all is well in your corner of the world.
Just found your Channel. Sceneries are breath taking.. Very inspiring. Trips like these aren't easy. Sophie on her bike. Wow, amazing! People you meet along the way. Awesome stuff.
Wow that was a nice adventure video of your journey also good to meet someone along the way to share the ride up and back down glad you guys had a good safe trip adventure like this will sure make you think of doing this type of trip thanks for sharing
Prudhoe Bay, been there by moto and by Jeep. Seen many video stories of the journey, but yours is exceptionally well done. Thanks! Regarding bicyclists like Sophie. Always the bicyclists! Everywhere I've ever been, Patagonia, Siberia, Yukon, Mongolia - always there. Amazing.
This is outstanding. Beautiful and inspiring. I’m 44. I’ve dreamed of riding mountain highways for years. I’m finally in a position to buy a bike and start riding. New Mexico BDR will be my first go, after about 6 months of practicing riding. I have the ultimate goal of a major ride within the next few years. Maybe the trans American trail. Then I go from there. Your video is giving me major motivation. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing your video! Beautifully shot, and expertly edited. As someone that's new to RUclips and learning how to shoot and edit motorcycle videos, I know how much work goes into it. A tip of my hat to you!!!
What a great video! Excellent editing and choice of music. I hope to someday take this northward journey myself someday 🙏🏽 This video will help in the meantime
Superb video! Great ride, great work! One of the best friends I ever had, Bob C. from Maryland, rode to the circle on a Tour Bike Harley. Tough road on a 900lb bike with 300lb of man and gear on board. But, if it's one thing that Bob is, it's tough as fricking nails !
I really enjoyed your video. The commentary was very interesting, and the drone footage was pretty cool. I was up there in 2017 but did not do the Dalton as the weather was crappy, but I will be back and do it in 2022. Thanks again for posting it.
Weather is part of the journey. Dive in and enjoy the entire experience....weather, landscape, wildlife, remoteness...take it all in, making for epic story telling forever, of your journey.
Thank you for the nice video. I will be retiring in the next 3 years and planning to ride across US and Canada. Prudhoe Bay is one of my destinations as well. Great motivation from you and when the time come I will seek further advise from you. Zamri, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Thanks for sharing your adventure on the Dalton Hwy. I worked on the pipeline from 2011-2016 and I have many fond memories of that place from the beautiful sceneries to the wide varieties of wildlife you'd encounter. I could almost tell you where you'd be on the highway in relation to the pump stations on the Trans-Alaska Pipeline system. Fun fact: in relation to the haul road, the first pump station you'd pass would be "PS 7" which is about and hour north of Fairbanks and of course all the way to "PS 1" along the way to Prudhoe Bay.
The aerial shots really help a video like this. Nomad road riders ought to seize on a gem of wisdom you gave. What goes around, comes around applies to making temporary, informal packs with fellow road riders to keep together on those lonely, dangerous stretches. Because two riders made room in their tank bags for their bike's operating manual I was able to figure out why they broke down and help with the fixes. One was a Harley rider in New Brunswick and the other a Honda rider in Wyoming. I helped BMW rider in Oregon whose rear spokes had failed get further down the road by transferring his old lady to the back of my BMW seat. When my rear tire suffered a .50 cent sized puncture from a arrow head shaped piece of flint on a gravel stretch between Haines and Tok a Gold Wing rider from Ohio took the tire off my bike and he and his buddy carried it on his Gold Wing to a truck stop were they had it patched good enough to get me to Anchorage. If you are paranoid about strangers, you won't benefit by mutual help.
I may have already commented, but nice video. So jealous of the trip. I truly hope to do this ride before to many more years. Kids are to young still to leave them. Thanks for sharing.
EXCITING.. I'm doing almost the same ride June 2020 to August 2020. New Orleans to Prudhoe Bay and back. Riding my 2016 R1200 GSA LC (Matilda). Thanks for sharing.
I made this ride in July '16 starting in central Alabama. Your video brought back great memories. very well done. the only difference I saw was that the final 35 miles into Deadhorse looked completed. It was totally tore up with construction when we went. 35 miles in foot deep trenches and fresh mud was a nightmare......but, what an adventure! Great video! Thanks
WOW!! I ride my motorcycles in big bend a lot, one of my favorite places to be,, ive been wanting to do the trans highway for a few years now and it looks favorable in April of 2023 to the start. really good information on your vid. its giving me the inspiration to go though with it..
Great video! I made the same trip from Seattle to Prudhoe Bay in July 2017. Got rained on hard coming down the Atigun Pass. Scariest moment! And the mosquitoes...
Fantastic! What a great mix and edit of commentary (history, social, ride report), bike camera, drone footage, still shots, and music. You really covered all the bases for a well balanced and enjoyable video. I’ve felt a bit meh about putting this ride on my list, but your video puts it solidly as a to do. :)
