Osman has been a cherished friend for many years, and his craftsmanship never ceases to amaze me. When I visited his shop, I was blown away by the incredible variety of options for bass guitars-everything from top-of-the-line hardware and electronics to the most exotic tonewoods you can find. I didn’t hesitate for a moment and immediately ordered a 6-string bass for myself. His bass guitars are truly masterpieces, and I can’t recommend them highly enough.
Modern Turkish pop music has developed under the influence of both Anatolian melodies and Western and Eastern harmonies. As a result, the leading bass guitarists of the time have used a wide range of sounds in their recordings, contributing to the richness of the music. During these recordings, the bass guitar was both prominently featured and contained challenging partitions. For this reason, bass guitarists who perform live prefer high-quality instruments with a wide range of sounds and ergonomic designs. However, many bass guitarists living in Turkey perform with just one bass guitar and may have an additional fretless bass guitar. This is because the cost of the high-quality instruments that meet their demands is often quite expensive, and they are unable to find suitable options that meet their personal preferences. Therefore, luthiers in Turkey create highly advanced works and fulfill special orders to meet these demands. Luthiers strive to respond to customers' personal preferences in the best possible way, producing both affordable and top-segment products. In recent years, they have started to produce extraordinary bass guitars that stand out with their unconventional designs, gaining recognition in the process. Thus, I believe they will make a name for themselves beyond Turkey in the future
I just got one of his basses a few weeks ago and absolutely love it! In a “metal” band and first time playing it at practice it cut through everything so much more than my Spector NS Dimension 5 HP… all while being 2lbs lighter 🤘 this dude knows how to make a bass!! Crazy I couldn’t find many videos on them before buying, luckily he has video demos of his builds on his instagram so I heard what my exact bass could do before buying it. I would gladly add another one of his basses to my arsenal if I could afford it!
It does man. Mine’s laid out a little different but it cuts through so well! Had been playing on a Spector NS Dimension 5 HP and could barely hear it at band practice a few times, but the first practice with the Otto bass? *chef’s kiss*
On the topic of headless being a little weird til you're used to them: I own two now and the first one tripped me up quite a lot at first. You're used to the neck ending with the headstock in your peripheral vision and being headless it throws it off. I was constantly several steps off for a while lol. Once you adjust to it the sensation of the neck feeling longer disappears, but this can take a while.
That's a really cool bass! Think you can get another boutique brand called Maurizio on the channel? Something interesting like their Uber-compact Miezo or one of their MUB basses
If anyone is interested in getting one of these I've got mine up on reverb as I'm trying to fund another one! I play metal and use a pick, you can hear it on my band Thus Spoke's EP, "RECLAMATION" but these basses are capable of anything!!
@@osmanalkan2000 Do you have a website, or a distributor, or something? I did a search, but couldn't find anything, only articles on various websites saying your basses are awesome. 😉
I actually think overall a conventional headstock would sell a bass with this configuration (I had to sell my Gibson G3 some years ago 😢) better than a headless model.
This bass looks and sounds great! I'd love to see more from this builder.

Absolutely phenomenal playing and Such a beautiful instrument
Honored to see Otto bass on this channel
love the demo of a five string where someone actually plays the low b, thanks
Nice growl and "bite", sounds perfect (AND looks good!)
This is one of the only basses I'm happy to admit sounds better than my Mayones with big singles. Insane.
I'm a Mayones (Comodous 5) owner too and I'm about to have a new Otto bass in a couple of weeks. Can't wait... 🤞🤞🤞
How did you get it? I can’t find the website for Otto 5

Kai Lemke is my favourite. I really like his style.
Osman makes incredible basses many years .

I bet that would sound so good in a metal mix. The top end would cut right through.

Love the bass, can't get over that brand logo, just genius!
The sound is so cristalclear. Brillant.

this guy a pretty sick grooves man
The 35” scale makes a huge difference. That’s what my Lakland is and the B sounds great!
I must say, that is a pretty cool bass!
Wow ! especially because i love 5 string and i love maple fretboard. cheers from germany.
That Turkey bass is gobbling up all these tasty licks!
Gorgeous headless bass!
My poodle was named Otto. Such a good boy.🐩
Looks great, sounds great, what more do you need. Love it.

Getting some Tobias vibes from it for some reason, I really like it.
I didn’t see it until you pointed it out haha
Now that one is perfect!
In the immortal words of Homer Simpson, 'Mmmmmm........ Turkey.'
"Oh Mandy..."

You should try get an S. Mrtyn Bass on the channel. The short scale headless bass looks and sounds amazing
Some modern tones right there
More electric basses should be made with a natural wood finish like thie stunning finish on this bass.
cool bass! too bad about the lack of volume knob. a switch doesn't really replace one because you can't fade out
switches can be replaced with 3 volume knobs :)
Excellent
Beautiful
Did not see the price on his Instagram page.....
Well, from the specs, I would expect at least 2.5k € or even much higher.
5 strings start from $1800
its abt 2k dollars

Cool instrument. Never understood why a 3 pickup configuration isn’t far more common on basses.
It really needs to be. Dingwalls are incredibly versatile with their 3 pickups as well.
I love this configuration. I also love the double reverse split coil config. Is a twist on classic basses without going too crazy.
I WANT IT.
My some what unpopular opinion is "I hate blend controls" and I hate they are so common on active basses so this switch control sounds better for me
Can I order this bass online? Sounds so smooth, full, and powerful.. love it!!
The best way is to contact Otto Basses via instagram
Thank you
where can I order one?
Price?
starting around $1800 for 5 string basses
Hi Gregor, der Bass klingt großartig. Kann man den in Deutschland kaufen? Gruß Thomas

Sounds good, but I don't care for the headstock shape. ;);) (I like it. hehe)
I'm quite surprised that a three pickup bass can be slapped so easily.
ANMIEK BASS please😎
Kai can compete with any Instagram influencer with those pouty bass lips…
👍👍👌
