Krass das geht also wirklich.
The design lifetime of these Turbines is 20 jears, but you won't believe the incredible good shape in which they are after 20 Years. Nice Service and a well designed Turbine is the Base for this. Some of them will run up to 30 years (maybe even more with a little enthusiasm).
If you were on a Turbine with Gearbox, it would be much easier to Turn on the High speed Shaft due to a ratio of up to 1:125. But if you wanna turn multi MW Turbines by Hand, the torque on the high speed shaft is way too high to turn. Sometimes we made it with two men 😁
Amazing that you can even move something that big by hand!
Lol einfach mal eine E-40 angeschoben... nice
Now come to the US and you can be on The Price is Right. Make it to the end and spin the big wheel!

The one of the few turbines with platform under the nacelle. Still running? After what 15 - 20 years?

It would have been much easier if you were able to reacb the ends of the blades. Just need longer arms :-)

its allot easier if you want to move the rotor by turning the highspeed shaft from the gearbox to the generator.
... would indeed be easier if this type of Turbine even had a Gearbox and a high speed shaft 😄😉
What technology is this
Direct driven, without gearbox
