Anyway, this is a pretty basic guide on how to survive the new(ish) horror game: Five Nights at Freddy's!
(It's a bit late, but this video just did NOT want to exist)
I left out all real scares in the game to keep it suspenseful for anyone who has yet to actually dive in.
I know that I only have one star in the video, but I HAVE beat night 6... just on my work laptop. So if people want tips on night 6 I'll just run through it real quick again.
(I'll put the effort into night 7, too, one day.)

He forget about when the power runs out and Freddy is doing his song outside your door, and you stand still and don’t pan to the left or right, he has a much longer song and will give you more time to wait til 6 AM. If you pan at all his song length decreases and you have a much shorter chance of it turning 6 AM before he kills you. If you stand completely still he will have his song for 50 seconds, if you pan around, 15 seconds is all you’ve got. If you stand still and he still kills you, you either were using too much power, so you would take shorter to run out. Or Foxy was using power, along with Chica, this can easily lead to death like it says in the video, if it just turned 5 AM and you run out, DO NOT MOVE! I have survived this situation by standing still, somehow, if you liked this tip, like my comment, this has saved me many times in FNaF 1 so please show some appreciation!!!! (This took 8 minutes to write-another reason to like this-dedication!!!)

It doesn't work at all. The time it takes for Freddy to kill you is entirely random. I've even been able to move my mouse around while Freddy played his entire song. There's nothing in the code that can delay Freddy's attack.

I keep getting jumpscared by Freddy even though the Door is closed, i don't know how to avoid him. ;-;
I'm late but I have some tips for you
1. Freddy can go through five rooms being Dining area, restrooms, kitchen, hallway, and the camera next to your door.
2. Freddie's laughs correspond with which room hes in. One laugh means dining room, two laughs means hes in the bathroom, three laughs means kitchen or hallway, four means he is in 4b or the hallway
3. Should he get to the hallway might as well close your door.
4. Try to keep tabs on where freddy is if he leaves your door. He is very unpredictable and you cant see him in the doorway.
5. If you spot freddy away from your door then you're clear to open it.
6. Also if he gets inside your office you can hear a laugh or he won't appear on camera.
Its either that the game is pirated or you lost out of power

Freddy can’t attack on night one likely not on 2 or 3 either,literarily like foxy u have to keep an eye on him.unlike foxy just staring it through hopping cameras,u literarily have to eye ball Freddy.If he leaves the stage and attack u it ain’t gonna attack,I just gonna stay at the end of either hall wall and delay for another attack.
That’s strange! For me, Bonnie is usually the one to stand around outside the door for a long time. Chica usually leaves pretty quickly in my experience.
Good point. Once, Markiplier even had Bonnie at his door for at least 1 in-game hour.
Actually, it's completely random as to when Bonnie and Chica move. Chica just tends to stay at the door longer than Bonnie during earlier nights because her AI level is set lower than Bonnie's. Past Night 2, however, she tends to be more active than Bonnie.

chimanruler15 it’s not completely random, it has to do with their AI level. If you don’t know their AI level then it may as well be random, but there is a reason Chica takes longer. The higher the AI the faster they move, and Bonnie’s AI is always set to be higher than Chica (even on Custom mode because Bonnie’s AI goes up by one at 2 AM, while nobody else does.) so when Bonnie gets to your door he will on average stay there for shorter period of time, while Chica will take longer to get there but stay for longer periods of time. Of course, occasionally there will be times when Chica gets there super fast and/or leaves really quickly, and there will be times where Bonnie will get there super slowly and/or he will take forever to leave, but on average it doesn’t happen.
@@pringle-man You're close, but Chica's AI is actually set higher than Bonnie's AI past Night 2. The AI Levels for each night are:
Night 1:
Freddy - 0 (no change)
Bonnie - 0 (+3 as the night progresses)
Chica - 0 (+2 as the night progresses)
Foxy - 0 (+2 as the night progresses)
Night 2:
Freddy - 0 (no change)
Bonnie - 3 (+3)
Chica - 1 (+2)
Foxy - 1 (+2)
Night 3:
Freddy - 1 (no change)
Bonnie - 0 (+3)
Chica - 5 (+2)
Foxy - 2 (+2)
Night 4:
Freddy - 1 or 2 [randomized] (no change)

This shows that Chica is generally more active than Bonnie, even with Bonnie's additional AI increase at 2AM. This makes sense because Chica has more rooms to go through before reaching the office, even though both characters can "skip" rooms, so her AI is generally higher to compensate for her slower movement. So, it's really only on Nights 1 and 2 where Bonnie is more active. Past that, Chica will more often move sooner from the Show Stage, especially on Night 3, where the AI gap between the two is the biggest. From Night 4 onwards, both tend to stay at the door for about the same length. Essentially, Bonnie is very slightly more active than Chica on Night 1, slightly more active than Chica on Night 2, considerably less active than Chica on Night 3, and then slightly less active than Chica on Nights 4-6.
You're correct about everything else, though. Chica's higher AI level doesn't mean that she is faster--just that she is more active. Bonnie is generally the faster one (a) because his movement patterns are much less linear, seemingly allowing him to "teleport" to disconnected rooms, (b) because the minimum number of rooms needed to reach the door for Bonnie is a bit lower, and (c) because he can jump to the left door from two locations (West Hall Corner and Supply Closet) instead of just one (East Hall Corner for Chica).
Additionally, it's true that Chica occasionally does reach the right door much faster than Bonnie reaches the left door. This is because unlike Bonnie, Chica doesn't go all the way back to the Dining Room whenever she's blocked with the door. She actually goes back to the East Hall. From there, she can go back to the Dining Room and add even more time to her eventual return, or she can head right to the door again through the East Hall Corner, effectively slicing her return time down by more than half. This seems to be another compensation for Chica since she can't move as fast as Bonnie. Her movement patterns can be viewed here: www.deviantart.com/989fox989/art/FNaF1-map-and-animatronic-movements-518637448 The map does have one inaccuracy for Chica's movement patterns: the path from the East Hall to the Dining Area. Chica can go from the East Hall to the Dining Area but not the reverse.
But, yes, Bonnie does reach the office more often than Chica. Technically, Chica's the more dangerous one because her ability to greatly shorten her path, but in practice, Bonnie's often the more dangerous one because his attacks are often more frequent, even though he attacks at more consistent intervals.

4:06 There's something wrong: Foxy relies on camera use, not in checking his camera. That means that you can use the camera at any camera feed and he still doesn't move.
Still working on that 20/20/20/20 strategy. It's a LOT more frustrating that I imagined. please be patient, and make sure to watch my night 6 guide for a 99% chance at success!
As for night 7 progress:
Freddy can not be stalled in a real run.
FOXY is the big factor in my night 7 attempts (if he attacks a second time, he takes 6% power), and thus I'm working on a stall for him. It's coming along well...ish. I can stall him on 0/0/0/20. now all that's left is:
- consistency in the stall (it's *really* complicated and will take 110% of your concentration)
- attempting to apply it to a usable 20/20/20/20 strategy (it will be VERY hard to implement)
- practicing enough to pull it off.
- surviving Freddy's wind up when power runs out (I've clocked it from 12.8 seconds to 50 seconds; of all the tests, 32 seconds is the average wind-up time.)
I hope this Foxy stall pulls through, it's looking good as of now, though! (maybe I'm just being really, really, optimistic.)

Update: I have tested through controlled tests (0/0/0/20 night 7) that foxy *can* be frozen!
however... it's very, very complicated. and Foxy's behavior is still... off.
It's the most bizarre thing I've ever experienced in a game; my theory on freezing Foxy *worked*, but my theory on *why* it works was proven wrong in my tests.

Im curious. Why (In my game anyways) Chica is Always the first to leave, Bonnie leaves right after and I tried "That" strategy but I always end dieing by Freddy's Tune?

Anytime any of the characters move, there is a creepy ambiance sound that accompanies it that can be heard. Depending on the sound, one can theoretically tell how aggressive an animatronic is currently or their location. Clips like Freddy’s laugh, Foxy’s tune, or the pots and pans clatter are more obvious examples of this.

Nikki Knight To beat night 3, flicker between pirate cove and showstage. This will keep foxy at bay and stop Freddy from moving. Still, try not to look at the cameras for longer periods of time to conserver power. Between every few flickers between the camera, close the camera to conserve more power. You really only need to use power on lights once you start hearing footsteps.

For anyone watching this now, here’s a tip:
Foxy won’t move if there’s any sort of camera activity going on, so as long as your camera is up, he can’t move. Since you don’t have to worry about checking his camera, you can worry about the more important animatronics, like Freddy

This is not true and has been proven to be false. Freddy has a RNG (random number generator), meaning that the amount of time it takes for him to jumpscare you when the power is out is completely random. It doesn’t matter if don’t move your mouse or move it everywhere.

The game apparently does have adaptive AI. If you make it difficult for Bonnie to get to you, by closely monitoring the left hall and leaving that particular door closed for long periods of time, he will stay on the stage longer the next night. If you ignore Chica at the same time the game will send her more often to try to establish a "base" difficulty. Usually if you pay equal attention to Bonnie and Chica they will come after you around the same time each night.

I’m pretty sure Foxy can attack you on Night 1, but it’s very rare for that to happen. You’d have to either spend nearly all of your time staring at Pirate Cove or completely ignore it for that to happen.
You're close. Foxy only gets more active if you don't check on him often enough, not if you check on him too much.
That, and you need not look only at Cam 1C to stun Foxy; checking any camera feed stuns him. Thus, the only way to make Foxy more active on Night 1 is not to use the monitor at all (or to use it very infrequently). I've managed to make this happen, but I got killed because I didn't shut the left door first before deciding to plug in my laptop charger. XD
Foxy got out of his cove on my 1st night, luckily did not run into my office

It's also important to listen to their footsteps when they're in the corner by the door, because they could just walk away or go to the door

First night: don't worry the phone guy will end this night after you listen to him in the phone,before the animatronics gets you
Second night: watch after bunny cuz his the one will jumpscare you don't worry about chica chica is having fun making noise in the kitchen so don't worry him, yeh but no actually in second night bunny is the one will kill you so watch him
Third nignt: well foxy is the next that you will going to see him in the third night keep looking in the cameras or if you hear him singing
Close the door as fast as you can or you will get jumpscare,so keep looking in the cameras no matter how many time's foxy is going run and jumpscare you, maybe once or three time foxy is tricky like you know what's ganna happen
Fourth night: so yeah if I have a youtube channel maybe I'll show you how to save power, but no your wasting more battery so all you need to do is look at the cameras you need to go the stage,parate co and youre left and right and always look one at the time in order to not waste more battery it's a risk but sometime's you will see golden freddy even you have not look at the poster and the next you see golden Freddy he's gone like glicth
Out of your room and if the game ends like 6am golden freddy will appear in your screen and jumpscare you right front of eyes like you didn't do anything

Another thing to note is that if your doors do get locked up, you have a limited amount of time(as long as you don't use the cameras) before they do jumpscare you(and that counts for every animatronic and not just Foxy).
This video helped me a lot passing the game!! Before watching this I died at night 1 3times and I couldn't beat NIGHT 2. (played it around 10 times) Thanks a lot!

Drill for Night 1:
1. Wait till 2 AM until use of power
2. Once you hear footsteps, switch to Pirates Cove, Foxy will most likely be peeking, If not, Repeat this.
3. if Foxy is peeking, flash west hall, lift up pirates cove camera, repeat till 6 AM
4. if an animatronic is at the door. Shut it immediately!
Drill for night 2:
Forget Step 1 of the first night, Constantly do steps 3 and 4, except check both lights often
Drill for night 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7:
Once you hear Freddy’s laugh, locate him, restricting his movement.
Follow night 2’s movement also
I have a strategy that's might work for night 6 but definitely works for night 4 and probably 5 that's good for people who aren't good at the audio cues.The strategy is to check east hall corner if Freddy is in there,and then check on foxy,and switch it back to east hall corner,and put it down.then check lights,and just repeat the process over.Hope this helped some people!

I'm stuck on night four and your trick of saying that to make sure chica doesn't go to ur door more than twice helps me alot.

I keep running out of power and then getting jumpscared by Freddy in Night 2 5am so I came to watch this
I know i'm late, but i think that the footsteps get louder as the characters proceed towards your office.
Bonnie is by far the most agressive due to it's ability to teleport acroos the building at will.
(camera's will go black during this.) thankfully,while Bonnie is quick to attack,it's also quick to leave.

NOTE:
* do not start closing the right door until you hear freddy's 5th laugh. that means he is in 4B which is the last camera before your office.
*You can open the right door when freddy is on 4b just keep a close eye track on him.
* when you want to check foxys progresssion CLOSE the right door and you will be safe
*before checking freddy check both lights so obvious yet so easy to forget.
* before checking foxy also check both lights.
*when you hear steps check lights.
* when your power runs out and 5am was up for a bit PRAY that freddy takes long to walk to the right hall and that he plays the longer version of thoreaders march.

When the animatronic is at the corner, don't check the camera, if you see freddy in the corner, shut the door and wait for him to leave. It get's harder every night
Also, I mostly listen for footsteps when an animatronic is at my door. I didn’t know about that shadow trick!

The laugh being deep is correct however it takes for him EXACTLY 5 laughts to be in the corner. Once he retreats from corner he will return to it after another laughter since he retreats only as far as to the hall.
On AI levels higher than 6 I think he may laugh again before finishing. His sound effect has slightly more than 6 seconds. On night 6 his A.I. is exactly 4.

Strategy for night 3 onwards:
keep the camera on stage. This prevents Freddy and foxy moving. Remember to check both lights between camera checks and if someone is there close the door. Don’t let Freddy move or you die and buttons may get jammed but it works
this is such an old comment SORRY but do u mean that if u put the camera on stage and then close it,, u just have to keep checking lights for Chicka and Bonnie??!!

@@lolamcgrath978 I didn’t say this in the original comment but alternate the camera between the stage and foxy. If Freddy moves look for his glowing eyes. This should keep them both at bay
