Ugh. Just when I start to think I've got creek and small river fishing figured out with nominal returns, you sir continue to teach me and show me more affective ways to fish. I'm so grateful for your channel. So entertaining and yet also so informative. Keep up the awesome work man your one of the best brother!
Ballbearing snap swivel is the only way I fish the Klamath Trinity Rivers in northern California the spinners spin quick and the line twist is eliminated I do agree with having lots of spinners in different sizes some rivers like silver some like gold in low viz use pink are orange maybe a combination
Man I keep triging all these new things I'm learning from you guys and finally started catching trout and was able to teach my old man who had also never caught trout and he finally at the age of 66 caught his first trout yesterday nice lil rainbow thank you guys so much made my dad birthday unforgettable thanx again
Color selection was the biggest learning point for me. Moving from Florida to the PNW. In Florida, we match the bait to the water. Meaning clear water equals bright baits and dirty water equals dark baits.
Awesome night. Went to a local river and hooked into the first coho of the year. I fished this river for over 150hours last year without a bite. Its known for being hard to hook fish in it. Then I get my car side swiped and finish the night off with some addicted. Can't get better then that
This is a great video on spinner fishing in general! I loved the explanations and I'll definitely be using this info on my next fishing adventure. And thanks for clearing up the snap-swivel vs no snap-swivel for me!
Black and candy blue fox with the green and silver blade fucking slay bass and trout in colorado. The purple candy with silver blade just landed me 10+ smallmouth bass last weekend and i got a limit(5) all over 15" plus a rainbow trout over 20" without even changing my spinner. U guys are straight motivation creators!! Cant wait to wake up at 330am and take off to the lake tomorrow!
Could you guys do a video explaining the difference between 30lb, 40lb, 50 lb braid for salmon fishing. For example, I know you used 30lb test here. Why pick 30lb test vs. 50 lb test? I'm still new to salmon fishing and I have 50lb braid while bank fishing and I want to know if I need to switch down to a lower test. Thank you!
It's possible that that was the maximum that their rod was rated for. If you go over the rated test for the rod then you run the potential for breaking the rod before the line snaps. But I'd say anything over 30 lb is a little overkill when fishing even for king salmon. The important thing here is using your drag to work the fish
@@TeMeister Thanks for the reply! I'll probably switch to 30lb test, but I would love to have a video discussing this issue because the newbies to salmon fishing (like me) are still getting the hang of it
@@marcusgunn6953 noted lol there is a ton that can go into lines, reels and rods. I usually live by the rule of the lighter the line I can get away with the better! The power comes from the rod in combination with the reel and a good drag! I’d put more money into a good reel then a heavier test imo
@@hammothw4814 Thanks for the reply! I've since picked up the 30lb braid, 20lb fluoro that Jordan uses, but I haven't taken it to the river yet. Looking forward to seeing the difference
Hey can you guys do a video about your bladed jig heads I bought a couple from Walmart but I’ve never actually seen a video of you guys using them or showing us how to fish them thanks. Hopefully someone sees this.🙏
awesome tutorial thanks man you're a great teacher; just getting into fishing at 29 years old here in BC, was never raised fishing so its harder to start but easier with a solid resource like this. cheers
What about unweighted spinners like the wickeds and the flash glo I know the flash glo is big but that's always been the go to for my dad just curious why I don't see y'all using the unweighted ones thanks for the great video
how about some catfish videos , we are looking to catch some big whisker faces , some bad ass fish fries , what are your thoughts on this underrated fishery
can you feel the blade spinning on this outfit? When I fish chatterbaits on a light action rods, it feels like a machine gun when it pulls through the water on a 1/2oz unit. Same experience here?
Can somebody explain the medium-action? He says that you want sensitivity when spinner fishing. Would a fast action be better suited for this application? Did he mean power when said medium heavy action? So confused.
I always use Gamakatsu Big River open eye. Sickle style hooks that penetrate and hold extremely well. I was successfully using the 4/0 on size 4 Blue Fox spinners
Hello. What I'm going to ask, you have probably answered in one or another video. But i have not seen that video then 🤣 Question: I see that you use singel hook on your spinners. What is the reason for this? For example, is it easier to get it out of the fish? less chance of getting stuck in the bottom of the rivers foe eksampel? The spinners I buy have triple hooks. Do you remove it and change to singel hook? Or do you buy them as singel hook? But the main question is.... why singel hooks? 😄
I recently got a 9ft 6-12 1/4-5/8 spinning rod, for chum and chinook salmon. how much max drag on a reel would you recommend? I was thinking 12 or 15 but I am not sure.
I learn something every video

Spinner fishing for Steelhead/Salmon/Trout is my personal favourite method of attack.
I just caught a king on the yakima last week on a rooster tail. Fun times.
I know a guide named Chris Jones in Yakima

The old saying goes, the bigger the lure, the bigger the fish. But,( I catch most of mine on a #3 blue fox.).

love the 4'6" celilo. i have one with the front tip snapped off, it's now my lake trout killer for ice fishing.
11:07 Holy cow, you're at my fishing spot! Small world!
Solid video I always neglected the different types of spinners and figured they pretty much all fished the same styles of water
I’m pumped for Wisconsin fishing!

Been slow slow slow here for me, went out today got 1 bite in 4 hours, some days are like that I guess.. great video as always
This looks like the Clackamas river between McIver and Carver, but I could be wrong. Either way, beautiful fishing spots.
Super tutorial, thanks for the tips !!
Was hoping for more Michigan but new video in general is great.

This week I used a #3 blue Blue Fox to catch a nice summer steelhead a.e. unicorn
Lol. Came to the comments to see if anyone else caught that too.
What size hook do you add to the #5 / #6 bluefox
Awesome for Upper Rogue River fishing around casey Park.
How do u eliminate line twist without a barrel swivel for spinning rod/reel setup ?
Good question i use a snap not matter what 😆
Do not order spinners from northwest extreme outfitters. You will not get your order and will get ghosted, I'm not the only one
Wish you had made this two weeks ago. Before I got skunked on my trip to Idaho this last weekend!

less line your reel can hold with the higher test, and more visible in the water. I use 25lb braid for salmon (to flouro line)

Do you use any bait on your spinner
