Hi Harrison! I’ve knitted for 60 years so so I can share some info about needles. I bought the addi clicks set many years ago and for family knitting those and double pointed needles both wood and metal were my go to. THEN, 2 years ago I experienced ChaioGoo! They are the perfect interchangeable needles. Addis are sometimes too slippery and my biggest complaint over the years is the twisting of the cords. ChaioGoo never twists! The point and shaft are perfection, the shaft is buffed somehow so there is just the tiniest bit of resistance so knitting doesn’t shoot right off the needles. AND THE JOIN! It is the smoothest join I have ever experienced in any circular needles! If I were you, save your money up for ChaioGoos. Borrow needles from friends if you can. Also I fell in love with Karbonz double pointed needles with the metal tips by Knitters Pride. I saw you for the first time today and subscribed. Love your Travelers Cowl colors!
Hi Harrison, I subscribed a week or so ago after watching your previous video and since binge watched the rest in order. Thoroughly enjoying your channel. I havent done any crochet (I do needle felting) but so inspired by how much you have learned in such a short time, I have just received an order of wool from Black Sheep Wools. I don’t understand the pattern and terminology at all and now a bit overwhelmed on how to start. I’ve tried to find a tutorial but they all seem too fast. How did you start, can you recommend a tutorial video that can help a total beginner? The pattern I’m going with is the Black Sheep Wools Autumnal Leaves granny square blanket. Thank you in advance for any advice!
Hi, Thanks for watching i'm glad you're enjoying! It is a bit of a mindfield and it took me a few goes at the beginning to get going. I've just looked up the pattern and it looks like one massive Granny Square which will be really fun when it's done. I really recommend TL Yarn Crafts, the below video in particular was how I made my first square. ruclips.net/video/A5_qYMpCiOQ/видео.htmlsi=mHR2Yn9PfdxypxkO The pattern you're using uses UK Terminology but that video will use US terminology, you could probably ignore the Pattern and just follow the video and just keep going until you're happy with the end result. Hope that helps :)
Thank you so much. I’ve had a quick look and definitely the best I’ve seen so far. I’ll let you know how I get on. Just waiting for the hook to arrive.
I was so happy to hear Kevin and Ray mention your podcast. Love them. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to this episode. Happy Christmas 🎅🏻
