CONVENTION Excerpts from the National A.G.O. concert by Diane Bish on the new 194 rank Rodgers pipe organ at Second Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. Beautiful!
Second Baptist Houston has probably the most beautiful sanctuary interior.
Not anything more. They’ve taken the Chamade ranks out so they could put up screens and they took out the pews and put chairs in.
@@mitchweisiger5904 They removed it because of a hurricane that affected the organ. The Trompeteria rank is not exposed anymore so they removed the fifth manual and had the ranks moved to the solo division.
The hurricane was Hurricane Ike of 2008. The church also added a Gallery Division enclosed.
Does anyone know the name of the piece that is being played as the show ends as Diane is speaking at the end
Henri Mulet tu es petra
Diane's arrangement of the hymn Jesus Shall Reign
I wonder why the church went with Rodgers on this project? Was price the driving factor?
It’s a Rodgers all pipe organ and the cost was quite high
Hail Satan my lord and savior.
